Amaryllis lowered herself back to all four paws as the lightning strikes receeded from the battle field and began to look for her opponent, just where had the little fox gone? Suddenly a brown shape appeared in front of her and Ammy jumped to the left just in time to avoid the worst of the attack. Grumbling angrily about her poor tail being singed again she proceeded to curl into a ball and launch herself at the fox.
Roll out... that's what I would have told her but... she could have at leasted waited till I said something... Raina thought to herself as she watched her raichu attack the vulpix.

What was with the rolling Raichu!? Venna thought they were supposed to shock things! That's what Spalding and Necua did... Shaking her head, then realizing she was wasting too much vaulable time, Venna was struck by the Rollout attack and was sent flying again. This time there were enough holes in the sand that Venna jumped into one after regaining her senses and followed her tunnels, digging where it was necessary to get in front of the Raichu.
Adjusting her position she dug up again.

Raina watched as Venna went flying and then dissapeared under ground and soon she saw Amaryllis bouncing along, still in a tightly curled ball and Venna soon reemerging from the sand.
As soon as she stopped bouncing Raina rounded on the fox, calculating where she was by sound only and rolled even faster. How dare that fox make her bounce around like some sort of ball?

"Vull!" She yelped as she was ran over and pushed back down into the hole. This only made Venna more angry, which in turn, she dug faster. There were enough tunnels now that she didn't have to exhaust herself with digging. Focusing now on where Ammy was at, Venna waited... 3...2...1... DIG!

Amaryllis felt the fox get crushed beneath her and had been pretty confident that she'd made a good impact but it wasn't good enough apparently. She was sent flying through the air and landed at the water's edge with a loud thud, the wind was knocked out of her.
"No! Amaryllis, c'mon Ammy get up!" Raina called to her raichu and watched as slowly the small pokemon exibited signs of life, slow twitching, then breathing, and finally she rose to her paws looking rather exhausted. "Use thunder!" Raina called, this was their last hope.
Upon hearing the command the battered raichu gathered what electric energy she could and unleashed it on the field hoping to strike the fox and paralyze her so she had a chance to recover.

Venna was above ground this time, just running. She had no idea where it was going to strike but she wasn't about to hold still. She felt a few come very close to hitting her, a couple of minor shocks streaking through her body, but nothing casastrophic.
As soon as the attack ended, Venna stopped, spun around and looked at Ammy, sending her a Fire Blast, her signature attack.

Amaryllis was too exhausted to try to dodge the attack so as the flaming kanji came towards her she moved into the most dignified position possible and braced herself for the attack she knew was coming. As the flames consumed her she didn't cry out in pain, she didn't have the energy for that nor did she want to show pain. As soon as the flames died away she was encompassed by a red beam from her great ball as Raina called to her to return.
"Good job Ammy, just rest now." Raina whispered before clipping the ball back onto her belt. "Great battle, we'll have to have a rematch sometime but I'm going to get her to the pokecenter, she looked pretty battered there at the end." Raina called and waved to Jenette before rushing out of the stadium towards the nearest pokecenter. Surely she would be on first name basis soon.
