I wanted to make my parents disappointed

I wanted the poison to run through the city's veins

Colors
Why do the colors mix,
and yet no color sticks,
to the canvas I hold above my head,
trying to call the red,
or the sunrise,
which meets my sleeping eyes,
as I arise from my blue slumber?
Green to pink the canvas turns,
on the chessboard now we whirl,
met by chance,
connected by fate,
our colors integrate.
My black and white dreams can wait,
I have found my life,
my love,
my paint.

SkylarSagia Roses are yellow, Violets are green, oh and by the way I'm colourblind. Thanks for totally making me LOL in the middle of class and get completely stared at for the 5 minutes I couldn't stop wheezing. Thanks. I was expecting something stupid and cliche, but that just about murdered me it was so funny.

A poem I posted on quizilla. Called Zero. He was once my greatest hero
No he sits below Zero.
He fell as low as he posslibly could
And still fell lower than good.He was once my friend
He was once a pall
He once said the words
But it's all gone now.He broke my heart
Ripped it in two
He stomppedme out
And spat on my shoes.I told him simple words
tried to help him understand
I'm trying so hard
but he can't command.I have a mother
She's very sick
I clean the house
And do the chores.She can't walk well
She forgets a lot
She cant do much
And I'm all shes got.He laughed in my face
told me I'm lying.
He said he didn't care
weather she was dying.I told him something
a little bit easier
in hopes that
he would understand.School, I'm failing
I've missed so much
I try so hard
but just can't touch.The surface of help
has been and gone
She's sick, its hard
I'm falling behind.He said suck it up
That nobody cared
He was right.My grades are falling.
My friends are laughing.
Moms getting worse
And nobody cares.My hero once said.
"I'm always here for you"
Now he says
"Whats wrong with you?"I'm not perfect
But I try
I live three lives
Yet none of them Die.I go to school.
I'm trying much harder.
My marks are still low
but theyre getting better.I'm there for my friends
they all think I'm strong
They don't know
That my nights hold tears.I'm here for my mom
I'm doing better then my best
It's never enough
I'm afraid to fail this test.I know my friends problems
yet they never ask about mine.
Help them everyday
beore they turn away.My hero came to visit one day
He saw my mom where she lay
on the couch in tears and pain.
He looked at me in vain.He asked me back
I said no.
He asked me why
I told him so.I told him everything above
and when I was done
He called me a lying b***h
and left, slamming the door.My nerves were bad
already shot to hell.
I hit the ground hard
and I'm still not up.I have my knight
the one in armor.
He saved my life.
From my hero.This man I have
Is my crush
Has been since third grade
And now were together.Yet I still fear sometimes
that he'll be like the hero.
maybe he'll leave me
and call me a zero.But I don't care.
I'll do my best.
After all.
This is just another test.It will be over soon.
This test of life.
It will be better soon.
Just like the rest.

So, just to start off, I haven't read all the poetry yet, but I've liked what I have read, either because it was really good and well written, or because it was hilarious. Great job to all who have posted a poem or more and please continue.
