Hiba waited for her to move forward and he walked beside her. "Right then lets go." He smiled he stretched his wings before folding them once more. Hiba wouldn't rush ahead he'd walk at her pace that was polite after all.

Seraphim watched him out of the corner of her eye. She would have loved to soared through the skies, but her wings ached more than her paws did. Since she was not allowed to fly past the clouds and into space like she used too, she found it hard to adjust to life here on earth. Everything felt so much heavier, and it took her twice as much to pump her wings than it did before. Her lungs always burned, but she trudged on.
Pausing, she parted her jaws to sense the air. "Smell anything?" she asked him, partly because she could not as she was still not used to ground life yet. She probably never would be either...

Hiba sniffed the air, sure enough there was a heard of prong horned deer was nearby. "Yeah I do just a little further ahead in a clearing." Hiba flicked his tail and continued forward flexing his wings. Sniffing the air he realized there wasn't any wind. It wouldn't help or hurt. They just had to move quietly.

Seraphim followed after Hiba silently. That part she could do well. When one lived their life in the darkness, it just sort of came naturally. As soon as they got closer, her nose picked out the scents of the deer much easier. She slightly snarled. Getting used to earthly smells was something she'd have to get used to later.... Blinking, she looked at him, waiting...

Hiba noticed for being as hurt as she was she was moving quieter than he was and he was silent. In this case he shouldn't worry to much about her for now. Hiba moved to the left motioning for her to take the right side of the herd. Hiba waited quietly for a moment hunkering down and getting ready to pounce, he glanced over to Seraphim to see if she was ready.

Seraphim nodded to him to show she was ready. Her blood was pumping, causing her to forget about her injuries for now. Her muscles tense, she was ready. Ready to spring. Ready to fill her stomach and taste the sweet crimson liquid flowing down her throat...

Hiba gave her a sharp nod to go, Hiba went right circling around trying to find a good sized pronghorn. His sharp eyes spotted one quickly and he instantly went to it, Running at full speed to cut the herbivore off. Hiba growled once and struck leaping around its out stretched hooves and using his wings lifting him onto the air and onto it's back. Hibashira sunk his teeth into the creatures neck refusing to let go until it finally died.

Seraphim had chosen another target as her pray. Probably not the best idea when working together, but she had to prove she could do it. To prove she could live on this cursed isle. Digging her claws hard into the ground, she tore off after the beast, knocking its limbs from beneath it before she could pounce upon its back and deliver a killing blow. She wasn panting hard and her paws were bleeding again, but the taste of the creatures flesh seemed to make it all better in that tiny moment.

Hiba looked up after his kill to see how Seraphim was doing. She was panting, and he couldn't tell if the blood on her paws belonged her or the pronghorns. Maybe it was both... "You alright?" he asked watching the remaining deer-like creatures flee. He started dragging the carcass toward Seraphim's kill.

Seraphim let out a growl and flopped onto the grass to lick her paws. "Cursed earth. I have never felt so...drained in my life." she panted again and took a deep breath before she just let herself collapse completely on the grass. She wasn't unconscious but she sure felt like it. She needed to eat before her stomach revolted against her. Leaning over her shoulder, she tore a chunk out of the deer creature and happily wolfed it down.

"It is what it is." he answered simply "No force in the world can change it." he smiled "But I suspect you will adapt quickly you just seems like that kind of Lioness." Hiba let his kill fall beside Seraphim's kill and tore a piece off he wasn't near as hungry as she so he'd leave what was left of his for her, he watched as she wolfed down the meat she tore from her kill.
Hibashira chuckled "You seem very hungry, haven't you eaten at all today?"

Seraphim shook her head as she tore another chunk out of the carcass. "Your world if very different from mine." she snorted before another large gulp. "We do not burn as much energy up there as one does down here." she said, flexing a paw. "When gliding with the stars, all one needs is her wings, a narrow frame, and a keen head to keep you from drifting endlessly." she finished and tore off another chunk. After swallowing it, she paused, "I feel like a new born down here. I have to get used to doing simple things all over again...."

"I can guess, though I've never glided through the stars it sounds like quite an experience." he tore a piece off "All I know is this world here." he didn't have much to compare to, all he had was himself here and no home anywhere.
"I can see why you want to return home, here it's much more imperfect compared to where you came from."

Serahpim would have burst out with the words, Your tellin me, but something inside her resisted. Instead, she let out a small sigh, swallowed down another chunk of flesh and licked her paws satisfactorily. "I'll say one thing... the food down here is a lot better." Eating on the ground and 'filling with energy' in the sky were two different things. She enjoyed the feeling, the flavor, the scent, and even the sensation of feeling large chunks of animal flesh and blood slide down her throat. "If its one thing I wish to take with me back to the stars one day, its this eating sensation." she said, a small smile actually touching the corners of her lips as she gazed up into the sky.

"That sounded obvious to you didn't it." he chuckled though as she spoke he listened and nodded and spoke his thought "Perhaps there are other things here that you wouldn't know about up there?" he suggested "Perhaps I can show you what I know about the world here after you've rested a bit?" he looked hopeful, maybe she wouldn't feel so bad about being trapped here afterward.
