Ignatius stood there. His ears dropped and his tail went between his legs."I don't have parents." He looked down at his paws, his nose almost touching the floor.

Fortuna let Ashfur down on the grass and bent her head down to Ignatius' nose and gave him a soothing lick. "Let's get you to the orphans den, one away from Luther if you would like."

Ignatius's ears perked up a little."Ok." He walked a little further up.

Ashfur quietly fumed as she was carried. She hated being carried like a little pup. When Fortuna set her down she scampered out of reach. She walked over to Ignatius and nosed his shoulder, "It's ok. I don't have a mom either." She looked up at Fortuna, "I can walk, you don't have to carry me." she herld herself well and stood as tall as she could to make herself look older. "Is Luther coming back?" she looked around worriedly.

Fortuna looked at the two trying to chose whether to get them to the orphan dens or to let them follow. "Would you like to come help me find Luther? I can help teach you to hunt along the way." Fortuna asked as she looked at the two, speaking softly.

Ignatius fell to the ground with paws over his eyes at the word hunt. His whole family was hunted. He didn't want to kill other wolves. He whimperd softly, thinking about how he witnessed his family being shot.

"Whats wrong? We need to go find Luther before he hurts any of the other pups. We can hunt on the way, how about some rabbit?" She spoke softly to calm him down and sang a soothing song.
Luther ran through the forest chasing a white rabbit through the woods. "Get back here you stupid piece of crap! I'm hungry and that no good pup wouldn't get me anything!" He yelled which only spurred the rabbit faster and he sped up to keep up.

Ignatius started to tremble, shs said that word again. He just whined and kept his paws over his eyes."M-My m-m-mommy was k-killed by a h-hunter. A-and my big brother. And s-sister and daddy."

Realizing her mistake Fortuna lay down beside him and gave his ear a lick. "I'm sorry, I won't use that word anymore and you won't either Ashfur, right?" She spoke quietly and put Ignatius between her front paws and began massaging his head with her tongue, licking roughly but smoothly so it was more soothing than rough and hurtful.

Ignatius felt a little better, but was still sad. But he stood up and trudged along to the bushes."I think I'm ok now." He smiled a little, to hide how sad he was.

Ashfur's ears pricked up as soon as Fortuna said hunt, "You'll really teach us?" She was usually forbidden to go on hunts cause she was still much too young but she always tried to follow anyway. She turned to face Ignatius when she heard him whimper. "I won't use that word either, I promise." She bounded over to his side. "Cheer up, this is going to be fun." she wagged her tail excitedly.

Fortuna nodded and spoke around the word "hunt" with ease. "We can get some food on the way, so let's not waste any time. Luther might be troubling some other poor pups." She spoke and began to lead the two to the forest. "It is best to teach at a young age, in my mind. You two don't have any parents and I don't want Luther picking on you, so maybe you could sleep in my den so you are safer." She smiled and picked some blackberries ignoring the p***k of the thorns and dropped them in front of Ignatius and Ashfur. "Eat these to get some extra energy."

Ashfur wrinkled her nose in disgust as she smelt the berries. "Do I have to eat them?" She asked. Changing the subject, she tilted her head to the side and looked up at Fortuna, "Why is Luther so mean to everyone?"

Fortuna let the berries of Ashfur be left uneaten and walked along the trail where Luther had walked. "Luther is so mean because he has no parents and had come from the city I lived in, I although was living luxiourously among the strays. He was an orphan and for orphan pups, living in the city he had to learn to be tough, but a good friend Dorobo found him and brought him to me."

Ignatius was done being sad. He could wait untill later to be sad. He wanted to go jump arround. He ran up behind Fortuna."Can we go now?"
