The Phrenologikal Cat Hydra-Star The updates are super annoying. I wish they would update other parts of the site. Such as the guilds. cool Yeah, that's een annoying me a lot, lately. They said they were going to update the guild forums and whatnot to run the same as the main forums, but that was MONTHS ago. They've completely forgotten about the guilds, as far as I can tell. Well, we did get some updates on a crew level a while ago. And we're hoping for some more soon. There's a lot of talk about it among different crew members of various guilds. We have our finger's crossed. However, I'm not hopeful for it happening soon. Guild updates always take eons.

Hydra-Star I totally read it all. rofl I think you're pretty much right. As much as it's sucks, and it does, it's better than Gaia going down the toilet. I do disagree on the minors part. Yes, it sucks that a lot of people can't get the cash, but Gaia never told them to go to these shady sites and has on numerous occasions warned it's users to be careful. Gaia cannot control every shady offer that pops up. My ramblings are so loved. Yeah I forget which site I used to use as it was way back when we had windows 98 and it was one of the first few message board "community sites" aka what we call Social networking , had chat, badges, and other little niffy things. It was also (to my understanding) one the first to have preium service for at least 3 weeks (I never did get that t-shirt). It tanked as well as the site. Then it sold itself off and pretty much tried to be a myspace copy. I am not sure if it's still around anymore but it lasted for a good while. I mean 96-roughly '05. That's a good run for a one of the pioneer social networking sites. On the offer part: Well it pisses me off because Gaia is pretty much using the same excuses that they use for some of the "adult-theme" ad's. Also I am unsure what Gaia gets out of these deals. As I swear it's just more ad space only these are putting users at risk and I think they could in fact control it better if they were TRUSTED companies to begin with. I mean s**t can't they team up with Disney, CN, MTV, and other places that are bit more "trustworthy"? They can do offers that way which would kill three birds with one stone: Gaia gets paid, the users don't get screwed, and these companies get to brainwash the users more with their BS programming or whatever.

Texasrose1 I read the it all ! And I agree, it really does suck But do you want Gaia to be a pay site? And I also agree about the offers Gaia knows the age base and that kids don't read the fine print, hell your lucky if some Gaians can read or spell. Disaster waiting to happen!! Wow if only the people on Site Feedback could do the same. Usually I get called a kiss a** or ignored. stare I Lol'ed at your second part. WhEN UsERs TYpe lky dis (wow that's actually pretty ******** hard! How do they do that? oh MaYbE cApLoCks? No that was still hard damn my fingers hurt) Can we expect anything from them. (yeah that's a statement not a question) No we can't and we shouldn't. I hate to sound like an old fart but most teens aren't that fiscally smart I wasn't and most of this user base isn't. Seriously spending money on pixels isn't really a good investment as unlike real gambling you aren't making any profit. This whole cash shop business is probably the worst entertainment people spend on as you get nothing from it. At least at a sporting event, concert, DVDs, music download you have something a tad more tangible. You can sell that baseball, you get twitter or youtube the bassist falling, ect, ect. Case in point it's REAL! Pixels not so much. Anyway point is users base is dumb sometimes. Like I mention above. Gaia should pick more trusted companies to do these offers. Hell even some of these Teen mags would be a good choice. As again Gaia can get paid, the teens get their cash, and those stupid mags get more readers.

And now my feelings on the Venus thing:
I found it to be pretty sexist and stupid all as once. Yeah I know sexist IS stupid already however it was dumb on Gaia and Venus's parts. As they blocked females using male avatars, gay guys, and pretty much created a crap storm in places like GCD (Gaia community discussion) and SF (Site feedback). Also I hated Fleep (he's a developer) excuse. I liked the guy and all as he isn't afraid of the users and try to help us out however calling it just a test (we should just calm down) as one day male avatars will be allowed in and trying to blaming it all on Venus to me was a punk move.
Seriously is it just me or is this site already girlie enough? I mean you female avatars get way more poses, better items, ect, ect. The colors are usually bright and happy. The NPC much? Yeah nuff said.
Also someone who is near an dear to me made one of the better points to date. Gaia is place where such labels like "Male" and "Female" should be "abstract" if they are to be used at all. I mean if good old San Francisco can why can't Gaia? Gaia claims this is a place where we break away from labels. (remember that one home page not too long ago: It's easy to get past labels when they are just pixels") Well then why the ******** is Gaia slapping labels around now?
This just being another example of Gaia ******** itself and forgetting it's morals.
(Ha, you expected it to be longer? Well it would have be but I can't find all my quotes atm)
