Senka was confused.
"Whats wrong with hitting him?" Granted Senka probably wouldn't have lashed out but she would have been far from happy. She wasn't sure that was all though surely hitting a grumpy male wouldn't have made her friend uneasy.
"Did something else happen?" She looked curious more then worried now, after all she had hit the male. Senka wondered what male it was because that would be interesting. Either way she would wait until she was told to speculate.

"Well, umm..." Skadi's paw traced a somewhat uneven circle in the dust. "...It did snap him out of it. He took the food and left, but... the thing is..." She cleared her throat and glanced up at Senka through her bangs. "It sorta kinda seems as though he's been missing since then. No one has seen him around for a while, and... I'm just..."
Having come this far, Skadi finally decided just to let go and confess her real problem to her friend. Maybe saying it out loud would put some perspective on the notion that had been gnawing on her since she found out. She straightened up, looked Senka squarely in the face with an honestly worried frown.
"You don't think it could be somehow my fault, do you? I mean, I didn't even use my claws or anything."

Senka listened and then laughed.
"I am almost positive it has nothing to do with you. You say you haven't seen him about? Maybe he was leaving to join the rebels, it would explain why he had been so grumpy and in which case you have nothing to worry about." Of course she was speculating but it seemed some were joining the rebels and she wasn't about to do such a thing.
"If someone vanishes now I am almost certain they have joined the rebels or died, his behaviour though makes me think he has join them so you have nothing to be worried about - he does as he will probably die at the claws of the pride he left." She smiled at her friend hoping that in some way this would reassure her.

Skadi's ears flattened out a bit further at her friend's words, and some small little voice in the back of her head berated her for having let her mouth run like that to Senka. Her dark friend was good for many things, especially venting annoyance and anger, but when it came to more delicate matters... well, she really should have known that she would get a reply like that one.
Still, it did make her stomach twist most uncomfortably to think that there may have been a chance that her slap had been the finishing blow, so to speak, that could have made Blota run off and get himself... killed. One way or the other. She didn't really feel particularly cheered up at all, but she plastered a grin onto her face and huffed in a reasonably good resemblance of a laughter.
It would probably be better not to keep talking to Senka about this problem. Not that she should have brought it up in the first place, if she'd only had her head put on straight earlier.
"Ehehe, yeah, I guess so. Not my problem, right? Hah, nevermind. Let's just go hunting, eh? Forget all about annoying males and aunts for a while and make ourselves useful instead!"

Senka wasn't fooled but she just nodded,
"Yes lets go hunting, a good hunt is enough to take your mind off anything and we might find some of those rebellious scum to attack while we are at it." Senka smiled widely, she was more then happy to find some of those rebels and sink her teeth in to them and with her friend beside her those rebels wouldn't even stand a chance.

Skadi gladly let her worries be pushed under by the delightful idea of getting into a skrimish or two with those rebel bastards. If anything, THAT would surely help her let out some steam, and if Senka was with her... all the better. An expectant little growl-chuckle rose in her throat, and she gave her friend a decidedly happier grin.
She almost hoped that the two of them would have the chance to surprise a lone rebel and tear the ever-loving crap out of him. Or her.
"I like the way you talk, girl. And since you mentioned it, I would like to rip into something right about now."
She rose and trotted up to Senka, aiming a playful shoulder-jab at her when she drew up alongside her. "C'mon! Last one to kill some dinner is a rotten fish."
