Raina smiled when Branimir made a good hit. Now all he needed to do was keep it up. "Use fire blast!" she called to him.
Branimir whirled around and managed to avoid most of the mud though it did splatter on his tail which he wagged fervently to rid it of the mud before it dried. When he heard Raina's command he took aim at the dark color bird and unleashed a devastating fire blast attack straight towards her.

-Was the mudslap supposed to be an attack or to lower attack power cause... I'm confused, you can't do both in one turn.-

[Mudslap can only lower accuracy in the game, anyway, so the only thing it can do here is damage you.
As to the attack, I lowered it earlier with the Featherdance.
Also, since I rolled 1 there, the last attack missed. sweatdrop ]

The battle began to remind the photographer of a plane fight… only with more flames. “Quick, dodge! Dodge now! Quick!” screamed the trainer in a panic. What a relief, it seemed that here again, Beth avoided the attack successfully.
… Oh, right, she wasn’t weak to fire, it couldn’t do much damage anyway. Okay. Now appearing serious, Alessa pushed her glasses with two fingers and crossed her arms. Should she take a risk and attempt to paralyze Branimir, or play the safe card and launch more mud?
Better be safe than sorry. A gamble on a status condition was not needed… yet. “One more Mud-slap!”
All those quick and sharp changes in direction started to tire Beth, though she was motivated to keep doing so. Being hit would hurt much more than exhaustion. All those straight blasts of fire were easy to dodge most of the time. Once again, she glided away, reached a mud puddle, gathered a moist lump, and came back to hurl the “gift”.

As the mud landed on Branimir he growled angrily but didn't even bother to shake it off this time opting instead to launch another attack right away. As he rushed forward he heard Raina's command "Thunder Fang!" she called to him.
Leaping towards the bird he bit down with his fangs crackling with electric current once more. Surely he had to get lucky some time... right?

[Ahah, no prob! xd ]
“He’s coming, dodge!” warned Alessa when she noticed the yellow sparks. Right after that, she gave her order, more relaxed this time: “You know what to do next!”
Maintaining such a rhythm was difficult. Beth flapped hard to rise. She barely escaped the Arcanine’s jaws, this time. The ballet gets going once more after almost getting paralyzed; get away, gather mud, come back, hurl it at Branimir’s face, do not rinse, repeat.

Raina watched as both Branimir and Beth missed and sighed. What was this? National Miss Your Target day? "Branimir try again! We need to stop her!" she called out and watched as Branimir rounded on the bird one more time and launched himself into the air at her with his fangs electrified once again.
Branimir dodged the attack from Beth with ease but he was getting tired of all this repetitive action. He had to make this hit last to end it, and that's what he would do... he hoped.

That was one time too many. One moment of distraction, and she was bit. The shock completely rendered the bird numb. Unable to move, Beth crashed not too far, in the sandbox. She followed Branimir’s moves with her cold, calculating green eyes. Her tail twitched, and seeing how late after the actual attack this happened, there was no way it was purely caused by the electricity…
The other trainer sighed. Of course it would be hard to keep up with such repetitive attacks. Alessa didn’t look very enthralled when she said “As soon as you recover, slap more mud.”

Raina grimmaced that wasn't what she'd been hoping for, the effect was already wearing off when she called out her next attack. "Thunder Fang, make it hurt!"
Branimir had already run over to the bird and was staring at it, pondering over what to do next when he heard the command and unleashed another devastating bite on the poor murkrow.

Another painful attack she was prepared to. As soon as he let go, Beth shook her feathers in a hurry, got up and took off for another round of Mud-slap. Good thing there were several puddles on the field…

As the mud flew at him Branimir turned so it struck his side instead of his face then leapt up at the bird who was still hovering in close range, his fangs crackling with electricity. He needed to make that bird stay down.
Raina sighed, this battle was not only taking forever, it was far too repetitive, if only Branimir knew some other attacks that would be super effective against a flying type.

Getting caught twice in a row was a certain sign the battle was getting on her nerves. Down she crashed again, this time, even closer to her opponent. Before he did his move however, she warned him with a creepy noise that she would bite his nose off if he didn’t attack fast enough.
Alessa couldn’t blame her Pokémon… after all, it was a good thing those electric attacks started to wear off faster.

"Keep with the strategy Branimir!" Raina called though she sighed with irritation, never had she had a battle that was this monotenous.
Branimir replied to Raina with a bark before darting in with his crackling fangs and biting down, maybe if he bit hard enough he could convince the bird to give up? Yeah... right.

Though a firm believer that making battles last was her best strategy when confronted with stronger Pokémon, Alessa begin finding the time long as well.
Screw that… she’d let the bird decide what to do next. She fended for herself alright before meeting her, why wouldn’t that still be the case?
Though weaker, the bite certainly was painful. As soon as the tingling pain was gone however, she propelled the soil that was under her towards Branimir with her talons and left the ground.

[EDIT: I should really calculate the probablity of landing so many 1s in a single fight... we might be breaking some basic law of statistics. xd ]

Branimir was doing just fine on his own and managed to dodge the mud that the murkrow flung at him so Raina didn't find a need to say anything. She watched as he once again leapt at the bird, electric current pulsing through his fangs, and bit down hoping to paralyze her for longer than just one turn.

XD Count my missed paralyzes as a 1 too, then we'll be breaking it for sure.
