Hula Bob couldn't help chucking a little. Not at her falling, but in the fact she didn't know she could do that either. "Well, then I guess just do what I do without the board."
Hula Bob got back on his board and began to show her balance. "Once you have that then it's all about the hips. That won't happen until you get into a wave." It was different on the ocean then on the lake. Before the hip motion helped move alone the wave less lake, but now it helped one stay up.

Fi blushed, thinking he was laughing at her. She would have huffed, but he moved on so quick she didn't have the time to remember it. Well, if he was gonna teach her how to balance.. Phiona had no issue with it.
She snickered, all in the hips. Why was that funny to her? oh well, she'd try to figure it out later if she remembered. "So if it's all about the hips why aren't we using them here?" Fi tilted her head, looking at him.

"Once you get in the waves swerving your hips helps to keep you balanced. On the lake it moved you along as there wasn't really any waves." Hula Bob smiled. He was not home sick for the lake. He thought of his new home as a much needed upgrade.
Hula Bob stood on his board showing her his balance. "Once you got it let me know, dudette. Then I'll show you the waves."

"Ooooh!" She giggled, wiggling a little as she tried to gain balance on the water. It didn't take her long, it felt like she already knew how to do all this.. That was kind of weird.. "I wonder if I can paddle out.." She murmured, loud enough for Hula Bob to hear of course, but not really acting on that thought.
"I think I got it.. Maybe.." She replied to Hula Bob's offer to show her the waves. Yeah, she was standing pretty easily right now. No worries about falling off the invisible board right now.

"Yes, how do you get to the waves? Fly...oh bummer no wings." Hula Bob noticed Fi really was something different. "Don't take this the wrong way, dudette but what are you?" She was a Pae'il of crouse, but not a type he had seen before. Maybe he was old and losing it...nah.
Hula Bob got of his board and then laid on top of it. He was ready to paddle out but not until he heard her answer and then an idea to get her to the waves.

Fi blinked, other pae could fly? "I'm a faun~" She stated proudly, playing with one of her antlers. The female stretched, lying on her stomach like a pro at surfing. It really seemed like she knew all this stuff already. Maybe she did?
Phiona shrugged, stretching once more before starting to paddle out like she had done before. Wait.. She hadn't done this before had she? Stinking forgetful brain. The faun giggled, looking over her shoulder. "Race ya!" She called, still paddling. She was good at this too.

Hula Bob cocked an eyebrow. 'Faun' that he had never heard of before. Oh well, it was maybe something to do with the Island falling. Maybe they were somewhere secret like the Naiads. Either way it was nice to see more new life.
Bob nodded and began to paddle out as fast as he could. He then remembered she hadn't surfed before...or had she? "Are you humoring an old surfer?" He winked and chuckled.

"I dunno!" Fi giggled more, starting to paddle. "You're loosing~" She said in a sing-song voice. She was having fun with that. This seemed far too familiar, but she was having fun so what did it matter? Maybe she could do this again sometime?

Hula Bob chuckled at the girl. Maybe she was maybe she wasn't either way it was nice to surf with someone else again. Sure he surfed with his family, but someone new and different was good.
The male looked at Fi and saw that she was right he was losing. So, he began to paddle faster. He didn't need to win, but he wanted to put on a good show. That was what he was about! The show of it all!

Fi was having fun just paddling, and eventually forgot what she was doing. Until they came to a really big wave. She hadn't been surfing in a good long time, not that she remembered it.
"WAVE!" She stated as clearly as she could, still paddling into it, having forgotten entirely what it was like to surf. It wasn't long before she was attempting to stand and ride it while it was doing something. It was fun out on the water like that. As to if she had beaten her 'teacher' out there or not, well, she hadn't paid attention to that part after they had stopped talking. He wasn't there to pull her attention elsewhere.

Hula Bob saw the wave as Fi called out to him. She she stood up so did he. The demon then began to get ready to surf. "Hang Ten!" He called before the wave hit.
The male, who had been surfing in the ocean for some time now, was rather good at it. He stayed in the curl but made sure not to get close to Fi. No, he would not steal her wave.

Fi giggled, wobbling a little when she stood up, but all was fine. She looked like a pro at it even though she only remembered this as her first time. Maybe she was just a born natural? No, there had to be more to it than that right? Who knew. Fi just knew she was having fun! That was all that mattered right?
The faun turned, looking back to wave at Bob. In the meantime she was attempting to jump and ride the wave backwards. It wasn't going to work well, so she settled for just waving at him before turning back around, running her fingers along the water.

Hula Bob was very impressed to say the least. Not only did Fi not need a board but she seemed to be surfing better then almost him. There was no way this was her first time. Even when he changed from the lake to the ocean he wasn't that good.
Hula bob waved back before trying his own move. If she could nearly jump backward then he could at least try something. So, the male did a handstand on his board. It looked rather good. Hula Bob used his wings and tail to help with the balance, but he had it. A headstand in the curl!

Of course she was a natural surfer, that was what she was meant to do. Though she'd never remember it in the morning. Fi giggled, looking backwards at the demon that was surfing with her. She smiled, clapping at his handstand. That looked soooo cool! She wanted to try it but knew she never could. She couldn't even do one of those on land. That didn't matter though, he was still really cool to be able to do a handstand on the curl!
In her distraction, she lost her focus and fell into the water. Head over hooves. Poor thing went a ways down before she made it back up. It was long enough to cause Hula Bob to worry that she wasn't going to make it.

Hula Bob watched, upside down, as she fell into the water. As quickly as he could he got himself right sided and then moved his board back to where the teen's was. She still wasn't there.
Hula Bob was luckily out of the wave now so he could look for her without fear of wiping out himself. He dove into the water and began to look for her when he saw feet near the surface. He went back up to see she was fine. "Dudette, way to scare an old guy!"
