Dress slacks (never jeans!) and a variety of tops... sometimes graphic tees (with something artsy like a retro Barbie illustration or Hello Kitty surrounded by cute-ified graffiti). Sometimes frilly blouses that would match any given lolita skirt. Maybe they don't exactly follow the lolita rules , but they're certainly feminine and fashionable.
And sometimes... when I'm all alone in my room... eek I put some crazy outfit together and pretend to be a princess!! xd
Mind, this was all before I was even aware that a 'lolita' culture existed.
I wear headbands all the time, so making the transition to wearing headpieces or bows feels completely natural.

A simple T-shirt and jeans but it slowly became retro, to some nice ruffles but still have a punk flair to it...then elegant gothic then the gothic lolita and then moon jumps to sweet and deco lolita eek

Before i was into lolita i simply wore what was comfortable and cute. Just before getting into lolita i started to really like to wear skirts. However, i never had the money to really dress the way i wanted to, and my parents didn't believe in giving me a bunch of new clothes every school year like alot of my friends, and unless i needed something (like unless my jeans didn't fit/had huge holes) i was given a little bit of spending money, and it was between seeing a movie and getting lunch, or saving it till next time i got some money when i could actually afford to buy new clothing. It didn't help that i'm plus size, and that means that its either a huge hunt to find something my size or i buy at the 'specialty' stores, where they jack up prices. So my style was... lacking.
Now i'm a fashion design major. Lol. All my classmates have pictures of how their personal style has shifted through the years and they were always in fashionable outfits, and i'm like... Cargo pants (with the zip off bottoms! Shorts and pants, all in one!) and an oversized teeshirt. And then, those same cargo pants and a fitted teeshirt. lol.

I was (pretty much still am) a casualist. You could normally see me in a T-shirt and pants or jeans. Now, I wear more button ups, if that counts as part of the transition. I'm also more interested in skirts and dresses now, as compared to me two or three years ago.
My Lolita Wardrobe is still quite non-existent so there's nothing to really "transit" to ><"

Mostly--when I'm not in Lolita [I juuuust finished convincing my dad that I can wear Lolita/EGA out and about, if I wear things underneath biggrin ] I like to wear fitted jeans [never skin-tight. Bleh.] and a nice blouse. Nothing fancy--just something that doesn't make me look like a box. Usually a pair of chunky-heeled Mary-Jane-Lookalikes...possibly a headband.
I can't always call it lolita, but when I'm not in all frills and skirts, I sometimes wear things that are very Kodona-ish--give or take some more feminine accessories. :3
About 3 years ago? You would've NEVER seen me in a skirt. Only recently have I decided I'm allowed to actually be a girl sometimes now. :3 Glad I did!
