She noticed how his stare softened and in that moment she knew that her begging was working. It not only worked at getting food for her but she could also make Hermes do as she wished. Not that she would ever use that to her advantage. He was just to sweet and innocent to take advantage of. Well, knowing that she won him with her eyes was one thing but what happened next was a complete surprise to her. He scooped her up in his arms, a small gasp had escaped her lips from the shock of it. "Oh!" she exclaimed slightly from the surprise and locked her arms around his neck, a little afraid that she might be dropped. After looking into his eyes she knew very well that he wouldn't though. Something about those orbs of mixed colors made her feel as though nothing could hurt her while he was around. "Heh, the roof? Hermes, I would love to rest upon the roof... but ... how would we? I mean, I don't think I could get up there." She bit her lip and imagined snuggling up close to him while watching the stars. It seemed like a glorious idea to her.

"Why, I'm going to jump of course " he said, like it was nothing. Without waiting for any logical arguments, he made his way towards the high fence of Belle's home. He tested their weight by doing small jumps on the ground, readjusting himself then Belle in his arms, so that he wouldn't drop her. He smiled at her confidently."Hold on tight!" he said, eyes twinkling with excitement.
The red haired boy leaped into the air. Propelling himself towards the wooden fence and landing himself lightly on the top, balancing with the tips of his feet. With his wide grin, he kissed the top of Belle's head for reassurance and leaped again. His days of wanting to fly had paid off. The high places he wanted to reach had strengthened his leg muscles. The air felt fantastic as he soared through it and landed neatly on the roof. He already felt the weight of gravity leaving him. "Are you alright?" he asked, looking into her face, a little worried this was too much for her.

When he revealed his tactics of getting up on the roof she widened her eyes and just stared at him, waiting for the joking laugh or 'ya right'. One didn't come though. "Hermes, I don't think-" it was to late to change his mind, he was already shifting her around in his arms and jumping lightly on his feet to adjust. His words of advice sunk in and she tightened her grip around him, not wanting to fall and hurt herself. As he jumped high into the cool air she gasped and buried her face into the crook of his neck to shield her eyes. It's not like her hands could have done it.They were busy holding on for dear life.
She felt sturdy again, and the rushing breeze wasn't brushing her hair softly anymore. Pulling away slightly she glanced up with concerned eyes and just in time to see her lovely Hermes peck the top of her head softly. Her ears flattened out softly and she felt her guard being let down, but that was a bad choice, because here came another jump, causing her to gasp again. Her face returned to the warm comforting spot of being buried in his neck. Once they were on the roof she didn't want to pull away, not until she was absolutely sure she was alright.
When Hermes' soft voice questioned about her state she pulled back, thinking that it was safe if he was asking her this. She looked up at his gentle eyes with her own blue gems and smiled a bit embarrassed. "I uh... yes. I'm perfectly fine. I just... you scared me a little," she admitted quietly, half hoping that he wouldn't hear her. She linked her arms loosely around his neck now and just continued to stare up at him. "You know... resting on a rooftop was a really romantic idea, Hermes." She felt her lips pull into a soft smile, before she got the courage to lean in and peck his lips softly.

"Life's no fun without suprises every now and then" he chuckled. As gently as he could he set her down on the roof. Making sure not to let her go until she was ready. He didn't particularily want to test the myth about cats landing on their feet all the time. At least, not with Belle.
Once he was sure she'd be okay, he layed himself down on the tiled roof. It wasn't as uncomfortable as other places he'd slept in. He patted the space beside him before putting his hands behind his head. Looking up, the stars winked at him and he smiled. "I just thought you'd like it up here. High places are the best places to see things. Eveything's just so perfect all the time..." he paused then looked to her, a happy grin on his face "expect with you of course, you're perfect from wherever I see you."

Once she was sat done on the roof she looked up at him with her soft blue eyes and just blinked, remaining quiet as he laid down himself. She took this time of silence to think about his previous words. 'Surprises? Well, I suppose that is true. Oh, he's so smart!' Her thoughts were similar to that of a little girl having their first crush. Well, in a way that's exactly what Belle was. Her crystal blue eyes caught the sight of him patting the space next to him and she quickly scooted herself over to his side, enjoying the warmth that their bodies created between each other. "It is very pretty up here..." She spoke gently but it seemed like it wasn't enough because what he followed up with was the sweetest thing ever. It made her stomach feel funny and her toes curl with embarrassment. "Hehe, Hermes! You're incredibly sweet. You know... you're the first boy who has ever really treated me like this." She looked down and started playing with the ribbon on her dress and blushed, "Sure, guys have complimented me before and have given me little gifts, but you're the first to actually... make me feel this way." She wasn't completely sure on how to explain herself. How could she?

Hermes blushed, thankful of the darkness that hid it from her. Her compliments made him feel light and good about himself. "Thank you" he whispered as he hugged her closer. Closing his eyes his mind started to drift. The moon was almost to the otherside now. A cool breeze blew by and he hugged her tighter. He didn't know what to say to fill the silence. Content to just lay there he began to stroke up and down the other cat's arm. It was so smooth and unlike his. He used to be constantly messy and dirty due to his little adventures. Having met Belle changed his ways a little. He still had his adventures of climbing and exploring. He was just more concious about cleaning himself off before he met up with her.
Sticking out this tongue at some random thought he started to laugh to himself out loud.

Belle felt her lips curl up into a large smile as he thanked her for being so polite and kind to him. Well, of course she was going to be kind to him. Look what he's done for her so far. Besides his pleasing personality he's got looks to absolutely die for. Hermes was the whole package in Belle's eyes and she never wanted to let him go. When the grip he had on her tightened she melted in his arms. Everything seemed so perfect, they way he pulled her close to keep warm and how the moon was traveling through the sky. It seemed like time was flying by, but she wanted it to last forever.
Out of nowhere the boy who had his arms wrapped around her thin form started to laugh softly at himself. She quickly snapped back her head to stare at his expression. What was the matter? Could he tell that she was swooning every time he tugged on her or when ever he'd brush his hand up and down her arm like that. Oh the thought alone could put her mind in a spin. "Hermes? What is it?" She tilted her head and waited eagerly, nervously for an answer to spill from those perfect lips.

Hermes shook his head. "It's nothing important " he said cheerfully. He turned to see her face turned towards him and he reached to kiss her again, an electric feeling flying up his spine.
The sun was peeking over the horizon now, the world still quiet as the early birds had not yet risen from their sleepy nests. The clouds began to drift further away, turning into different oranges and yellows. Hermes' tail swished as his eyes began to grow heavy. He leaned his head back and started to drift, still aware that Belle was beside him.

She noticed how the young male seemed to have a light heart with saying it so she figured it wasn't all that important to bring up. He must have just been feeling silly is all. "Oh, alright then," her voice spoke quietly out of the fact that her body was telling her it was time to sleep. Her eyes were getting heavy and her mind was coming in and out of focus. When Hermes leaned in and pressed their lips together a smile stretched her lips gladly and added a little more pressure to the kiss, showing she was more than happy to do it.
Upon pulling back she rested her head gently upon his shoulder and hummed with satisfaction. "Mmm, I'm terribly tired." She brought up her feeling of exhaustion and rested her eyes. Surely, he wouldn't mind if Belle just happen to fall into lala land, right? Well, she'd find out in the morning, because there was no stopping her now. Her eyes were just so heavy. Her mind was swept away, starting to imagine a happy tomorrow.
