"I do believe that's a first." she looked over at him, happy for the compliment. She had been called many things in her life-- brat, idiot, hellchild, unworthy-- the list went on and on. But only sweet words left Ade's mouth, and she adored every one of them.
"You're my love, you know that?" she leaned over and licked his nose lovingly. There was nothing in the world she'd change about him.

He blinked in confusion, one ear flopping over. "Really? Surely someone's called you sweet before." Adejola murmured as he snuggled against his mate. "I know. And you're my love." If he'd been a feline, he would have purred. His tail was already moving at the speed of light. The adolesant moved as close to Uzuri's side as he could possibly get and flopped his head over on to her shoulder, licking at it.

"Mhm." Uzuri smiled at the young male. "When I was young, I didn't have the life that would have called for a compliment like that." Her life was vastly different now, but she still remembered how it used to be.
"Well, it doesn't look like we're really getting anywhere today, so why don't we rest here for the night, hm?" she giggled, noticing that they hadn't made much progress since they started talking. "We can keep each other warm."

He nodded instantly and flopped down on the ground. He grinned up at her, acting as if he was merely a puppy again. "So.... What should we do? Cause I'm not tired. ActuallyImreallyexcitedandIdontthinkIcouldsleepevenifyoudoIjustwannagetupandrunaround." His words mushed together as the wild dog suddenly jumped to his feet and began darting around his mate. His excitement couldn't be contained and he paused momentarily only to nuzzle Uzuri or snuggle up against her before taking off again.

"So much energy." Uzuri shook her head, looking down at him while smiling. "I feel so old now." She let out a laugh, laying down next to him. "Well, you could always watch me sleep." she raised an eyebrow at him, half joking. The day's sun had tired her out, for once. It may have been the fact that she was trying to keep up appearances for Ade for the duration of the journey.
Leaning over to rest her head on his shoulder, she let her eyes drift closed. At first, she was just faking to see what he would do, but she soon began to feel exhausted and tired.

Ade pouted as Uzuri faked sleeping, but did his best to keep silent. His tail was still making a fan shaped pattern in the dirt, but he tried to keep the rest of himself silent. The wild dog licked lightly at the female's nose as he was used as a pillow. "Good night, 'Zuri." He finally whispered, his eyes glued to her as he smiled.
