Caroline craddled Mia at her waist as she held a flashlight to guide the way; she got a letter, a rather strange one in fact. The woman didn't exactly understand it, besides the Hq part and flame to lead the way; her flame of choice would be her old metal flash light. She ate her dinner hastily, it was only sushi of course, and bundled Mia up tight before she began her adventure to the Legend headquarters; she didn't have the heart to leave Mia with Tabitha on this very night. The toddler's nose became red from the cold and Caroline's as well. They looked like amorphous blobs in the distance, considering how bundled up they were. Caroline slowly wandered into the dark room, shining her flashlight in people's faces out of curiosity. "Oops, sorry..." She whispered hugging Mia tightly as she held the flashlight face down. Caroline was rather surprised that Mia was being so quiet, there was always a squeal or a giggle from the giddy toddler.

Wren's eyes cut towards the sound of the meow and he saw the black cat with ... a candle?! What the hell? Moving foward and crouching down, his eyes glinting towards what looked like ... Levi? Eh, this was obviously a night for reunions.
"Oi, Levi? If that's you, come towards the sound of my voice if you can. Or, wait ..." Pausing, Wren gave the black cat a grin before taking the candle from him. "Thanks, but I think I can light this. Is it what you wanted?" The words were murmured and in a second, Wren conjured up a small bit of flame and held it towards the candle so that it would light.
A faint glow surrounded both him and the black cat.
Lafe's eyes followed Clare's and he saw Levi ... who looked bigger too. He made an uncertain noise, nudging Clare and meaning to head towards Levi before the dim light flooded the area. Okay, so maybe going towards the light would be better.

Levi froze at the yowling, heart sinking as he withdrew his foot. He'd been walking so carefully! How had a cat gotten underfoot?! With a sigh, he sank down to one knee...feeling about carefully. His cover was already blown, no harm now.
"Aww, sorry keeten! 'Mere!" Still patting around, he prepared himself to be scratched....instead finding himself blinded as light flooded the room. What was that?! A spotlight?!
Squinting in the ungodly light, Levi waved one hand at the beam. Great, now his vision would never acclimate! Taking the opportunity to glance around, since he couldn't see the figure holding the light, Levi blinked crossly at a mess of feathers, kittens, and...a candle?
"Buddy 'ell! Wha..." Reaching forward uncertainly, he tried decide between the kitten and the candle. One hand settled on his pouch where the matches rested. Figuring the kitten would never come if he was already holding fire, Levi patted his shoulder and gave it a call.
"'Mere, lil one! Hup!" Tucking away a feather as well, he reached slowly for the candle again. What an odd evening!
Suddenly, a voice echoed around him, and Levi snatched his hand back as someone else lifted the candle. Who was this, then?! Startled, and still half blind, he crouched and peered upwards with a raised brow and squinted eyes.
"Whossit?"

Kimiko hurried into the headquarters with Mayu strapped to her back (as usual), grasping the letter she had gotten in her left hand. She was a bit late, as she had a short attention span; she had not even realized the letter had opened until Mayu pointed it out to her by gurgling loudly and pointing at the envelope on the table. Letting her eyes adjust to the darkness, she asked, "So, what did I miss?"
Wow, so dark! It was even darker than lights out at home. Mayu hugged her pillow tightly and looked around, managing a small "coo" as she gradually became used to the darkness.

Ink sits flat on his diaper, squinting through the cover of darkness down on the floor to try and make out the blobby shapes up above. His eyesight isn't great for distances, at least not yet, so the difficulty of doing so, in the dark no less, is yet another frustration for him.
"Rrrahghmff," he exclaims with a growl, dropping his fists. Suds recoils, though remains close to his side, into a fist sized ball, not liking the bustling, chaotic movement of bodies one bit.

"Wren. D'you remember me? I look after Lafe," glancing towards Levi, the demon made sure that the candle really came to life as he held it in hand. It's dim glow still illuminated the area a bit, but not that much. There was, however, something eerie about the light.
There was a brief hiss as light hit his face, pupils going down to mere pinpoints, before he raised his other hand to shield his eyes. "... and nothing was missed, the lights just went out. Who else is in here?" He was watching his language for the sake of ... something, really.

 As soon as the candle was lit, a warm glow eminated from all the letters. And only a few seconds pass before the glow truns into a small fire devouring the letters completely, leaving only glowing embers from the flames. An errie slience fills the room before a booming voice fills the halls!"FROM THE FIRE TO THE FLESH
SKIN WILL BURN AND TURN TO ASH
ASH DISAPPEARS WITH THE WIND
N'ERE TO BE SEEN AGAIN" As soon as the words were spoken a huge flame ignites from the before dormant fireplace... it seems as if it's going to fill the room but as soon as it lights, the orange candle goes out, and the back of the fireplace is no longer there, only a deep darkness.

Rising to his full height, which wasn't all that much, Levi suddenly brightened. "Eh! Sup, 'En?" Offering a hand for a rather 'grown up' handshake, Levi grinned at the candle bearer. Something occured to him slowly though. If Wren was here, where was Lafe? Wren was the only one he recognized in the whole room!
Glancing about, trying to spot his young friend, Levi's bright gaze traveled over the others assembled. Smiling at the ladies, he turned back to give Wren a shrug. "S'goin' on?" He waved vaguely to the mess, the retreating darkness, and the heavy air.
[I'm having trouble keeping up ^^; Check for my edits please XD]
He snatched his hand back at the voice and sudden flare of light, spinning towards the fireplace. What was this now?! Edging forward, still near Wren, Levi fished a penny form his pouch and flicked it skillfully towards the fire. This was some party!

(( Haha, is the fire still lit? ;_; ))
"Gork!" Kimi cried, a bit surprised from the, well, strange event. Shaking her hand, she cried and examined it closely to find, if any, burn marks. She cocked her head up at the backless fireplace, and walked up to it carefully. Sticking her head into the entrance, she yelled. "HELLO~?"
Mayu squealed with delight at the silly sound Kimiko had made, almost dropping her pillow in the process. She was, suprisingly, not frightened at all by the events that had taken place so far, and her eyes sparkled with curiousity as she peered into the darkness over Kimi's shoulder.

"Kitty!" Mia squealed, as the light that faced the ground focused upon a cat in the distance. She wriggled a bit in Caroline's arms, taking in the sites of the floor.
Caroline put a finger to Mia's mouth to hush her as she sauntered farther into the room. It was pretty dark, even with the faint glow of numerous lights. The darkness made her feel uneasy; luckily Mia wasn't scared of the dark. "I got this letter..." Her voice was quiet at first, and then a strange crackle to it made it louder. "I'm slightly confused..." Caroline scanned the room, moving her flashlight slowly across the floor. The woman suddenly realized she didn't exactly know anyone, the faint faces before her seemed barley familiar. In horror, Caroline glanced at her hands the letter was aflame; she dropped it quickly and back away. Her flashlight flickering a bit then suddenly went out. Her stomach felt like a black hole as the voice boomed into the room, she closed her eyes and nuzzled into Mia's hair...she was most likely more scared then the toddler.

"Not quite sure what's going on. Lafe wanted to come, so I brought him. Figure it's a party or something. Thanksgivingish, you know?" Wren shrugged his shoulders, looking around as Levi did and then ... suddenly the letter in his pocket was in flames and he was moving quickly to put it out before he got torched.
"Bugger," he muttered, dousing the fight and depriving it of oxygen as he best knew how -- with magic. With all this darkness around, he could've used Hawk's help -- but the fiend was still ignoring him.
"What is going on?" He paused, listening to the voice, and then scowling: "And since when did the fireplace look like it's a portal to some dark abyss?"
