"Mom's good." She nodded. "I think she's getting a bit of empty nest or something, since Shujaa and i are grown, but other than taht she seems to like it that everyone is settling. I even think Shujaa might have a girlfriend ... though i'm not sure cause he doesn't talk much." She laughed at that. Shujaa would probably not tell anyone until he was -sure- she was the one or something.
"You could go to the mountains! I've always wondered what they were like." She'd seen them in the distance as a cub and had always been curious about them. "I bet they're neat"

"Huh? But the two of you are still here, aren't ya?" He didn't think that they had seperated a bit, since....well, she hadn't mentioned it, and it sounded like she was still close with her parents.
"Plus...the idea with Shujaa having a girlfriend seems...wow." He hadn't really ever thought about things that way. So seeing someone he knew as young going to that? Wow. They were...not old, but not young.
He 'pssh-d' at the next comment. "Mountains, maybe, but the snow is cooold and wet. So much as my mother's told me, anyway. She used to stay there a lot a while ago. Not so much anymore, now she liked the jungles that are around....well, not here, but you get what I mean, right?" He smiled, hoping so!

"Yea. But i guess since we're all grown up and having our own lives she doesn't really have to be 'mama' anymore." She smiled with a soft laugh. "Maybe it's something that happens after you have cubs ... i haven't really asked her about it" She didn't really know if she'd ever find someone so that hadn't crossed her mind.
"It is kinda weird. Even more so since he's been so grumpy since Kivilu got lost. But at least it means that he's not ignoring the whole world. Not sure if he's realized he likes her though." She couldn't just lay on him and bug him as easy now. He was big enough to just wiggle away.
She nodded as his comment about jungles. "I've seen them. I think we went though part of one before we met you. I'd still think snow was interesting. I mean ... solid water? It just seems neat in a way. Even if i wound't want to stay there forever'

Hmmm. All this love stuff was way over his head. Even if his mother was Love, they never talked about it. Kimbi...was always a little worried if his domain would get into the way. Even if some thought one way, he always felt that the domain controlled you, and not the other way around. That's what happened to his sister Fear, anyway.
"I don't know anything about that stuff," he laughed. "So I'm betting Kivuli will know too late that he's in too deep!"
"Jungles are nice, but I guess I like the open sky. Feel better for the wings," he grinned.

"I don't really get it either. I mean except for loving my family and i think that love is a bit different than the other sort." That was odd to her too. That there were different sorts of love. She always wondered why love wasn't just love and that was that. Seemed easier to just say you loved everyone the same ... though thinking on it that would make being family a bit odd.
"I like being able to watch the clouds. It's hard to do that in a jungle." That was the one thing she'd missed when she wandered though the jungles with her family. "I bet you can fly really good now." She smiled brightly. "With big wings like that and all"

He stretched out his wings, his mind more stuck to that current topic. "Well...sort of. But c'mon, you saw my landing. I'm still not all that graceful, but I don't really fly that much, either." He shrugged his shoulders, draping them around him on the ground. Mmm, the warm ground felt good on the underside.
"At least I'm not crying anymore, right?" he laughed at the double-meaning. He had been quite emotional when younger, and he knew that he still was, deep down. He always felt a little awkward, but that must be part of growing up.

"Not everyone's perfect. It would be boring if they were." She laughed softly. "Besides. I imagine there are others who's landings are worse. I mean you didn't end up buried in the dirt or something right? Just a bit in your face."
She though it was a good landing. She couldn't imagine being able to fly herself. "Nothing wrong with crying a little bit." She reached up and tapped his nose. "Makes you, you"

He laughed, "Well, I'm sure I would have been if I landed in sand! That stuff is dangerous, I tell ya."
He was about to make another comment when she tapped his nose. He was startled, and merely stares at her for a moment. As the action registered in his mind, he pouted a bit, sticking his tongue out at her in playful jest. "Maybe."
He glanced around, really realizing that no one else was around. "Do you mind if I asked you to show me to your home? I just want to see your parents and brother again before I leave. Is that...all right?"

"Sand is only bad if you get yourself caught in it. Silly stuff is hard to dig out of." She hated how it all seemed to move together and just fill back in whatever you dug out.
"I say it does. So i like it." She laughed at him sticking his tongue out at her. Shujaa tried to be to ... manly. So she liked it that Kimbi wasn't a giant tough guy and was just himself.
Nodding she smiled brightly. "Of course i can. I'm sure mom will be delighted to see how much you've grown up."

"Great! I don't think they'd be too happy if I stopped by only to snub them off. I owe them a lot, especially you and your Mother." He has always like being with them, even if the idea of a father seemed odd. Dragging his mind away from that subject almost immediately, he offered her a grin.
"Well, lead the way! I've got to admit, from high up its kind of hard for me to tell where to go." It was one big land with tons of wandering lions. He had been lucky that he didn't have to spend too much extra time, and found her failrly quickly.

"I'm sure mom would say you didn't owe her anything." She laughed softly as she got up so she could head back to where her parents should be. "She's mom to everyone." Which is why Chang was their 'brother' and not just another lion wandering around with them.
"There are a lot of lions here. I was surprised when we first got here to see so many in one place ... probably cause i wasn't born in a pride"
