Ark saw it coming by Titan's body language before Titan even registered what Rue had said. He'd sworn to himself that he wouldn't fit Titan so the best course of action was dodging. Ark was much faster than Titan since he was a little smaller and didn't have the armor to weigh him down. When Titan got to close, he would leap backward. When Titan would charge, Ark would dart back a good distance. He never dropped eye contact, or his expression change.

Rue sighed and kept her eyes closed. She didn't want to see this. She didn't want to have to hear, or deal with it. The breeze picked up and her fur ruffled under their caressing waves. She just let the feel of the wind draw her away from the scene, away from the noise and fighting around her. She thought about the children forming inside her right now. The life that she could only hope would grow to full adults one day...

"What the hell's wrong with you?" Titan snarled, growing more furious as more and more blows missed. He sprinted after the area near his brother, not towards him, in an attempt to catch him off guard. When he was next to Ark, he swung his head violently, hoping the horns adorning his armor would pierce his brother.
"I understand you have a hard time keeping your paws to yourself," he spat, bristling. "But my mate, Ark? My mate?" he repeated, emphasizing. Really, he was fuming. In fact, he was so angry his paws were trembling and he had a hard time thinking well enough to get his legs to move as he stood there, staring with hatred at his brother.

Ark wasn't letting himself get angry. He was ignoring the taunts and the sneers Titan put out and focused on not getting hit or injured. He was successful enough, slipping from time to time and dodging a close call. Titan was full of rage, his aim was off and he wasn't as lethal. That's what makes a good killer. The ability to cut your emotions. Ark was trying his best not to antagonize Titan anymore than he had to.. Titan will never forgive him.

Rue was lost in thought until the wind cut back, until it was still again. Then she was drawn back into the present just in time to hear Titan's venomous words. Those sentences flared her tempered and she couldn't stop her self- she yelled to him, "It's my fault just as much as his!" her eyes furrowed, her ears tilted back and her fur bristled. But her eye remained closed.

Titan turned to look at Rue at her words, eyes widened in surprise. The expression left soon after, when he flattened his ears, and it was clear from his face that he felt hurt and betrayed. It wasn't as if Rue was the only one hurting. So was Axel, and so was he, and yet he hadn't gone off frolicing with another female.
He watched them both, his eyes hard, before simply looking away and stalking off between the trees.
