Circirling around the moutain, Varun was quicker to spot the injured wood elf, and dived towards the elfs location. He still wasn't terrible efficent with his landings, but still managed to land with only a few lose steps with his feet. Poke quickly jumped off his back and ran towards the elf.
"Hey, what happened?!" she called out and stopped next to the elf, holding him up incase he would faint. "who attacked you? wheres your kulgenki?" tell us please!"
Varun was close behind poke, and when he stopped he began to conjur up his healing water ability, the liquid now forming in mid air.

Seeing the other pair fly down, Maelthra and Blade quickly followed, landing nearby. Once on the ground again, the thief made his way towards the injured elf while looking around to see if he could see what happened here. As far as he could tell there weren't any others in the immediate area.
"Thentros is down..." said the elf before coughing up some blood, "It... it was the... gry..gryphon... In.."
He was having difficulty speaking, and before he could muster out the rest of his words, the wood elf gave a shudder and fell still.
Blade narrowed his eyes for a moment, as he saw the humakin pass on. The wounds were quite grave, so no wonder he didn't last too long. Frowning, he looked about once again, but as with before he saw nothing in the area. Maelthra too, could not pick up on anything nearby aside from the others.
"Weird..."

"gr-grphon?!" poke almost shouted. Before she could question any further, the elf collapesed and then she realised that he was dead.
She sat on the ground, the body falling with her as she examined it. The wounds that he had recieved wer emore serious then she thought. And she wasn't able to do anything about it...
Varun steppe dnext to her and nudged her shoulder "I don't think we could have done any more. I think he may have already been on his way..."
poke nodded, and then remembered what he had said before. "He had said grphyon didn't he?" Jumping up, poke took out her staff and backed up, looking around as if the beast was about to pounce her.
At first her dragon kulgenki didn't understand why she was so scared. It wasn't as if he was going to let anything happened to her. But then he realised what she was thinking.
"Wait...you don't possibly think it was the grphon from the ledgends, the one who went crazy and attacks random strangers?"

"He did say gryphon..." muttered Blade, "But that's impossible. Inskilio is just a fairy tale. The guy was probably mistakened... or delusional in his blood loss."
Turning towards Poke, he shook his head.
"Don't worry about it."
Meanwhile, Maelthra was looking about the area himself. He wandered over to follow the trail of blood that the elf had left, only to stop roughly 100 feet away from the rest of the group. At that spot, there was quite a bit of blood splattered around which likely was the place where the elf had been attacked. However no signs of anything else was there.
"Hm... by the way, does the elf have anything that might identify him? Though we'll probably need to bring him back to the city anyway..." mused Blade.

"er..right" poke said, though didn't specify what she was replying to. She did however, walk towards the body and knelt down, trying to see if she could locate anything that they could indentify him by. This was alot harder to do. Most of his clothes were now soaked by blood, and she was reluntant to do more then slightly move his body to the side.
"ugh!" poke jumped back, not realising that one of the slashes on the body revealed more then just red. "I'm a bounty hunter, not a corriner!" She shuddered. "I've dealth with bad guys who ruffed up others, but not this badly before..."
"The elf mentioned someone called thentros before" Varun ventured to save poke the trouble of looking any more. "I'd wager that it was his kulgenki. we could go into town and ask if there was someone whom had a kulgenki by that name, and get his identity that way"

When Poke mentioned she was a bounty hunter, Blade paused for a moment before shaking off the feeling. If she was after him, she probably would have attacked by now. So he just knelt down by the body before looking up at Varun.
"That's a good point. It should work... but we should bring him with anyway. Wouldn't want wild animals to come and try to scavenge off of him."
At this point, Maelthra had returned to the others to give news of what he found. Or rather, what he didn't find.
"No signs of the attacker anywhere, or any sign of what it might have been. Plenty of blood back there but no tracks, bits of fur, or anything," he reported.

"yeah..the family would proably want to bury him too" When maethra came back and told him he could track down the grphon, poke didn't like that to much. Normaly, she would be driven to go off and fight some rougue kulgenki or any other oppontnet. But a crazed grphyon goast? not her cup of tea..
"Perhaps it would be best if we went to the village now, and come back later to find the flower..." Varun said
Your not going to offer to carry the body are you? poke asked him telephathicly. Sorry, but my good saramatain-ness ends there

As with Poke, Blade was not very pleased with the news that the attacker was nowhere around. There was a fairly decent chance whatever had done this to the elf was still in the area, so there should have been some traces of them. Then, after Varun spoke, he looked down at the body, thinking.
Personally, he would have rather continue the search for the flowers, then transport the body back to Nakadrak. They were about two hours away from the city by flight, so a trip back would be a timely one. It would also take some time to deal with the people back at the city and get the body to where it needed to be. Most likely they wouldn't really be able to continue the flower hunt till the next morning.
"Hm... I'm not really sure.." he murmured.
Maelthra walked closer to the body, letting out a snort and shaking his head. He was a little more worried about what was in the area than the corpse itself.

Watching blade, it seemed that he wasn't to sure about going straight away and coming back for the flower. Poke and varun hadn't taken into account that the town was alot further away then they realised.
"...we could spend some time looking for the flower now, and then we could go back.." poke started, but then realised what she was saying. She wasn't sure if she wanted to be in this area at this time...or perhaps any other time. "er, not to long." Poke sprinted off up the pathway, hoping that she might be able to find the flower, and quickly, so they could get out of here all that sooner. Varun was quick to follow her, not wanting to let her out of his sight incase the creature came back for more.

Glancing at Poke, Blade nodded and started to go search for the flower once again. He made a mental note of the location of the body so they could pick it up later on. And when Maelthra saw that everyone was out searching again, he let out a sigh before doing the same. Though, while he was appearing to be searching like the others, he was really on the lookout for anything suspicious.
Not too far from the group, was one small cluster of three. The flowers stood no taller than four inches off the ground and were growing in small gap between two rocks. Reaching the flowers would be a bit difficult because the gap was as small as it was.

Varun was tailing poke to make sure she didn't get hurt, when he stopped. He inhaled, trying to figue out what that strange smell was. He then realised that he wa ssmelling grennery and moss.
"Hey, I think those flowers might be around here" He called out. At once poke turned back to her kulgenki, and then looked around before she noticed the greenery between the two rocks
"hey blade! I think varuns right! the flowers may be around those rocks" she pointed to their location
(because it is your quest XD)

((Lol, doesn't really matter. XD Not an official mission/quest anyway))
Hearing the others, Blade looked over towards where they were before making his way there. Stopping by the rocks, he crouched down and looked between the rocks, noticing the three flowers. He quickly checked his reference picture then grinned faintly.
"Yeah these are it," he said while reaching into the gap. It wasn't easy, but he managed to eventually pick the three flowers.
The thief then carefully put the plants away and stood up, nodding to Poke and Varun.
"Thanks. Now..." he trailed off a bit as he looked towards the direction of the elf's body, "We need to deal with him I suppose..."

Glad that they had helped out blade and his dragon, poke and varun also turened to the body. Poke looked at it with a grimance; it was obvious she was not used to dealing with situations like these.
"Yeah, I spose so..but the sooner we deal with it, the better. Mabye we could even find a clue as to why he was attacked...assuming that someone other then a blood thirsty ghost would want to attack him."
A sudden thought occured to her then. "Say...did you guys see any weird artifact or object on the elf? that would be what kept his kulegnki...it might have more clues"

At that thought, Blade moved over by the body and looked the elf over. At first glance, he saw nothing in particular that might be the Kulgenki artifact. Speaking of which, he hoped that the Kulgenki hadn't gone feral and was just laying dormant for the time being. It would not do them much good if something like that were to happen. The elf had said his kulgenki had fallen, but he wasn't sure if defeat in battle really effected the chances of one going feral.
The thief examined the body a little more, just with his eyes, while Maelthra stood watch and waited.
"It might be his ring," Blade pointed out while looking at the wood elf's hand. The ring wasn't too intricate or anything, but it was the only accessory on the guy. It didn't seem that he had any weapons either.
"We should get going," urged the dragon, "If we linger here too long it'll probably be dark by the time we get back to the city."

"well have to keep note of that. A ring, and a kulgenki named thentos..." poke replied. When maelthra spoke of leaving, poke nodded, but didn't say anything more.
Varun stoo dback and kept guard, trying to sense anything out of the ordinary, but nothing seemed wrong. Besides the body of corse. He could also see poke wasn't trying to suggest them to be the ones to carry the body back. Usualy she would be first to help out, but this time...not so much. So he kept quiet as well, eyeing the setting sun and wondering just how well he could fly in the dark, and if maelthra could do the same.
