Candy laughed softly, "Perhaps you are right. It is nice, however, to have someone you know loves you. It's a wonderful feeling. You shouldn't give that up just because of who you are or what your place is. No one should tell you that, it isn't right." The last part came out softly. She felt bad that Terentia felt duty bound to forgo love.
"Sometimes, life and love, is about having faith. Do you have enough faith in him to trust him with your heart?" The question wasn't meant to be rude or intrusive, but maybe to help her see that faith often went hand in hand with love.

"He is a dear friend to me and I know if I asked him for his life he would give it to me. If I wanted his blood he would spill it himself and if I ever asked him to do anything, no matter what it was he would do it. As would I for him. However whatever feelings I may have for my dear friend, is just a test. The spirits are trying to temp me into evil to see how strong my faith is. He has known since I was a foal I could offer him no family and no love that goes beyond that of the spirit. He has accepted this and as I so expect will one day go on to make a fine mate and father. That is what I wish for him."
She smiled at the female the warm summers winds where stroking the mares long white fur and her long shinning hair was blowing gracefully behind her. A smile came onto her face although a sadness could be seen in her eyes. She looked at the female with a gentle twinkle to her face and a soft tone to her voice. As she addressed her one more time.
"This might not seem right to you. However I made a choice to be what I am. It was not forced. I knew fully well when I became a holy women, when the spirits reached out for me and asked me to be there spokesman. I knew that I would miss out on a family and a mate. However I think its a wonderful thing, so take it from someone who can only dream, It is hard sometimes but I need to be strong because its what I believe in. Love your man. Always be by his side and treasure every moment you have together for some people will never know that. Your a beautiful mare and by your eyes I can tell you will be a wonderful mother, such a thing is rare so make the most of it and be happy."

Candy was confused. Why would the spirits put anyone in that kind of position. Grant them the will to love and someone to give their heart to, just to disapprove of the relationship. Maybe it was because Terentia was supposed to be a priestess. Cand y smiled at the younger mare's compliments and blushed prettily, though it didn't show as well on her cheeks. "I wish you luck in your trials. I don't understand what your going through, but I hope you find happiness in your decisions."

"I already have happiness, I have a brave and handsome brother, a beautiful mother and all the friends someone could wish for. I could not ask for anything greater."
She smiled and nodded walking along side the pink mare with her head held high and her wings took in her side. A look of pride came into her face when she talked about her family. They really did mean everything to her. She was forever grateful to Kaiya for what she had done to her and hoped in her heart of hearts that her mother was proud of what she had become.
"are we near?"
She asked looking over with a kind smile.
