Palahala smiled "You don't understand Khuluma, you cannot hunt around me. It is one of my powers, and in my herd you cannot hunt." he chuckles lightly "Has no one told you you do not have to eat?" he smiles lightly "You should meet my father, you would see that a body can live even in the worst situations." he paused for a moment and padded up to zebadie nuzzling the little klippy. "You would be surprised what you can learn from a prey beast Khuluma, you think them weak because they are eaten, but where do you think lions and cheetahs and hyenas go when they die?" He looked at the young god and flicked his antelope like tail.

"I promise they will not hate you and I promise they will teach you things you did not know and I will help you until you wish to move on." he smiled softly and lowered his head to the water lapping the water as a cat would. "Look at me young one, you can't think I eat those of my domain, I occasionally partake of grass and roots but only when I feel like it, I do not eat, I do not have to, i am a god it is not a necessity for me to partake of the mortal feed, if you think about it, you will know you don't have to either."

Zebadie trots up to the young god and smiles, her golden eyes bright and cheerful "You'll like our home kid, it's a beautiful place of rolling fields and high rocks to climb, it's a rare thing for Palahala to invite a god back to our lands, you should come, you would learn something if only that we aren't dumb." she chuckles and leaps over Palahalas bent neck before standing beside him and taking a long drink at the pool.

It seemed he was invited, not only by the god, but by the small mortal he respected and kept as the head of the herd he protected. In both cases, he was being given permission to stay, and having no other plans aside more endless nights of travel, nodded. “I can’t see why I wouldn’t stay. I have no were else to go. You’re already teaching me more than I have on my own.” The fact that he would now be taking a turn in his plans and really seeing what mortals had to offer in a safe, protected environment under the watch of a god was the perfect setting if any to start these lessons. Even Zebadie was willing to show him a thing or two, though he wasn’t too warm to her yet. She was, after all, still a very small mortal to him, and she did not treat him like a god at all. In fact, she treated him like a very small mortal as if he was just any cub that had come along. Still, it seemed that the Prey God was making an expection for him, and he seemed very knowledgeable.

Going to the water, he leaned down and drank, licking his lips before looking to the god. “I thought that if I got thirsty from time to time, I would eventually want to eat something. I guess I don’t have to worry.” Again, no one told him he would not need to eat. Even though Khuluma had not eaten anything yet, he didn’t know that in front of all these animals, he would find some inner hunger in him. He was proven wrong again. All his assumptions were false. It was a good thing that he would not be tempted, as he felt killing an animal would be messy, but he did not like to keep revealing to Palahala that he knew nothing. In fact, he wanted to show no side of that. The golden godling wanted to be seen as smart, but in the end, he still had a lot to learn. It was just knowing that he knew very little upset him and put him down a peg.

Palahala, I would like to stay with your herd for a while, to learn. May I?” he asked, his voice above a whisper, but still low.

The young god of prey nodded gently, his soft, gentle brown eyes resting on the little golden cub. he clearly didn't have a role model and without one he would not learn what being a god was all about. He could help, just as his own father helped him and as the prey beasts had lead him down the right paths. "Of course you can come and stay with me. and Khuluma, you do not have to be afraid to ask questions of me, I will answer them as best I can, when I was young I asked my father a thousand questions and he answered each one, without him and without my friends the prey, I would nto be what I am today."

Laying down on the ground he looked at the little god spreading out his bat like wings to his sides "Climb up, it's a long way, I wouldn't want you to fall from the sky."

Zebadie smiled at the golden cub and bounded on to Palahalas back and then on to his head where she sat between his horns in pride of place. "You'll like the herd young in, it's a good place to play, lots of fawns and calves about, tis a good time to be there." She smiles twitching her tiny stub of a tail happily.

Khuluma was glad he was going to have some way to learn more, and he bashfully nodded, glad for the help that he clearly needed. There was no hiding it from them that he would need to be taught a few things about being a god and about learning from mortals. It was a good thing he had two teachers here. Whoever Palahala’s father was, he was sure the God was very intelligent to have such a smart son. Who was his father? He’d have to ask later, along with all the other questions he was sure to ask the god.

At the mention to get on, he looked a bit taken aback. Riding on a god’s back? That was new! He hoped he wouldn’t fall off. When he saw the little mortal jump on, he thought that being scared when such a small animal was riding was silly. If she could do it, so could he!

Slowly, he awkwardly climbed on Palahala’s back, finding that he was indeed smaller than the god, and held on, hugging the god. For a Prey God, Palahhala was warm and soft, smelling of fresh grass and the sun. He also had to admit, he was very handsome too. Strong and graceful, which is something he wished he processed. Worried, he called out. “Don’t go too fast!” He mewed, before holding on.

"I won't let you fall." Palahala smiled softly looking back at the young god he stood in the same manner as he did previously, back end first then hoofed front end, he did this in such a swift and graceful manner though that it was a seamless movement. "When you have hooves you have to learn how to stand. " He smiles stretching out his see through bat like wings and flapping them, he gently leapt one of his wide bounds and took in to the air with a graceful flapping movement, taking off towards the east and his herd.
