He felt a little embarrassed at himself. Of course she wouldn't feel like she was falling. She had had wings all her life, and it would have been natural of course to be able to fly. "Oh, forgive my impertinence. Of course it would be natural to you. I only asked because I was imagining myself able to fly." He chuckled at himself for his silliness.
"Oh, yes there is a stream nearby. I could show you the way if you'd like." He smiled to her. "I'm glad you're not in any hurry. Perhaps I could accompany you to the beach after we visit the stream. I haven't been in so long, and I have no where else to be."
He turned to lead her towards the stream, looking behind to see if she would follow.

Chococo smiled softly as she followed after him. "There's no need to apologize. It's a natural question," she said. The the suggestion of accompanying her to the beach, her face grew hot beneath her fur. This handsome stallion really wanted to walk that far with her? Giving a shy nod, she replied, "I would like that."

As the pair made their way through the trees to the nearby stream, Tanner's mind wandered to the skies again. Alas, he was forever grounded, since he had no wings to soar with. But perhaps he could fly through his imagination from the stories told from another kirin; an airirin. Perhaps even from Chococo. He looked over to her, keeping his pace even with hers. His eyes wandered over her feathery wings, studying their texture and thinking how soft they probably were. It amazed him that something so delicate as those wings could lift a kirin.
It wasn't long that they came upon the stream, and Tanner stood off to the side, giving her plenty of room to drink as much and as long as she wanted to.

She gave her companion an appreciative nod of thanks before lowering her neck to drink of the water. It was cool, and quite refreshing after such a long flight. "Thank you," she said aloud this time after she had finished. This time Chococo stepped aside to give Tanner room to drink. "Are you thirsty as well?" Even now after they had spent the past while together, the chocolate-colored mare still couldn't help but be taken by his appearance. The deepness and richness of the colors were just so captivating to her that she had to fight hard not to openly stare. Not that her shyness would have allowed her to anyway though.

He watched her drink, but tried not to stare. A glimmer in the water nearby meant there were fish swimming there. Perhaps she would be hungry.
"No thanks, but would you like a fish if I can catch one for you?" he asked her, making his way down the bank over to the water's edge where he could see the fish swimming lazily.

"Ah, there's no need to go through the trouble," Chococo replied, blushing furiously underneath her fur. Nevertheless she stepped back down to the water's edge with him to observe the silver darts. "Although, if you wish to eat then I would not be opposed to trying to catch one with you." Catching fish was a difficult thing to do, but it was also quite fun in the right company.
