Triton came out of the woods as Elayi caught the last rabbit, a look of slight amusement on his face as she looked back at him perhaps embarrassed at how she looked chasing the beast - or at being covered in its blood. Triton however made no comment and instead levered himself down to lay beside the rabbits as she brought them up.
Elayi offered him first choice and somewhat aware that she was quite hungry selected the smaller of the two.
"Quick moves back there - I thought for a minute the second one was going to get away"

"Well, it's happened before, but you see, we're bigger and heavier," Her attempt at the joke went by weakly.
Elayi ripped her teeth through the rabbit hungrily, she'd go and clean up in the water afterwards. River's were good for something, right?
After finishing the rabbit off, she carelessly gnawed on a rib and strode into the water, rolling around. The blood made red clouds in the water as it washed away from her fur. She spaced out in them for a while, then got an idea.
Glancing at the still-feeding Triton, she snuck to the edge of the water, and...
SPLASH! She flung her paw toward Triton, a wave of water coming towards him.

Triton smiled at her little joke before settling down with his rabbit, they ate in silence for a while until Elayi finished and headed back off into the water - she sure did like that river Triton found himself thinking as his jaw cracked a bone. It was just as this thought was crossing his mind when a splash of water doused him.
Startled and chastising himself for not paying attention the burly male gazed dolefully at Elayi water dripping down his face and making him look rather like a drowned rat. Shaking the water free he smiled at her.
"Careful now"
He warned her playfully.
"You might start a water fight you'll just end up loosing"

"Really now? Someone's confident," Elayi growled playfully and crouched down into a playing stance. This was going to be fun...
She splashed Triton again, this time with her back legs and tail, then trotted off into deeper water. The current was slow-paced, and fish scattered around her.
"Come and get me then!"

Triton quirked his brow at her as she splashed him again tipping his head as though to say - so thats the game you want to play is it? Standing the burly blue male stretched with a sly almost lazy look on his face before in a sudden burst of movement he launched himself forward taking a few running steps before leaping into the air and crashing down into the water as close to her as he could get - attempting to use his burly weight to his advantage and create the biggest possible wave.

Elayi laughed and shook the water out of her fur. Hmm...they were both already wet, so it wouldn't be much use to splash him anymore.
She lept into the air, landing half onto Triton playfully, in an attempt to knock him into the shallower water. He was warm, despite the freezing water. All the while she was laughing.

Triton staggered sideways as Elayi leapt on him, she had a pretty sounding laugh he thought to himself with a slight chuckle - and was quite clearly young at heart - something that was not a bad thing in his opinion.
Forming a plan as she tried to knock him over Triton let her, dropping to his side in the shallow water and then rolling quickly towards her in an attempt to knock her down as well.

Elayi landed into the shallow water with an 'oof', and stayed there, with her head raised, panting. What to do next?
She flicked her soaking tail in his direction carelessly, flinging water.
He was quite a fun male, and very...loveable.
A flash came into Elayi's head with Triton and her together. No, no. She couldn't think of that....she'd just met him! But then again...
The tri-colored she-wolf splashed the blue male again, barking a giggle.

Triton popped up out of the water as she fell in alongside him, tongue lolling out of his mouth in a wolfy grin, making a playful paw at her tail as it sprayed water drops across him. Strangely it didn't seem at all weird to the blue wolf to spend an afternoon lazing about in a river - but then he done this sort of thing many a time with his siblings.
"So do you plan to be around here long?"
He asked her after dancing out of the way of her latest splashes.

"It depends, if I am accepted to the Acropolis, then I would be more around their back, a distance from here. But if they denied me, then I would stay here...it's all very confusing to me. I guess maybe I should just go with the flow of the river...not literally," She lazily wagged her tail, then stood, she was growing cold again.
Making her way to the edge of the river, she rolled over again in the sun. It warmed her belly, paws outstretched.

Triton nodded slightly watching as she warmed herself on the beach, so she was about to join a pack was she...and confused about it? the thought made him tip his head slightly.
"Why are you confused about joining a pack?"

"Well, I've never really been in a pack before...I don't know what they're like. I mean...to have a 'family' kind of...It's just all so new to me. Like a head rush," She continued to sun bathe, but looked back over at the blue wolf. His color's looked pretty in the reflection of the water.
She looked over her own fur, simple browns...natural color's. She was very...unappealing compared to him.
She snorted disgustingly at herself for thinking about such silly things.

"Ah I see"
the blue male responded, wading from the water and shaking himself dry a few steps away so as not to scatter her with water drops. Triton had come from a rather large family - and to tell you the truth he missed them a great deal.
"Packs are great fun though - nice to have friends to count on from time to time, I wouldn't be worried none - i bet you'll like it once you get settled in"

Elayi flipped over and pushed herself up, facing the blue male.
"Yeah, I hope so...maybe you'll come join me someday?" She shifted from paw to paw again, looking at the ground with her ears flattened a bit. She liked this male...he was, well, good. Compatable, maybe...
Her eyes averted, she continued, "I kind of like you,"
Oh, bother. She felt like a silly adolescent. But she had to tell him sometime.

Triton dipped his head down and rubbed his muzzle on the side of his paw - as though scratching an inconvenient itch, in reality however he was hiding a rather cocky grin - seem's you haven't lot your touch old boy he thought to himself before wiping the smirk ff his face and lifting his head. Regardless of his inner thoughts he was not a mean wolf and didn't want to make Elayi think badly of either or them for mentioning her feelings. That would be rather cruel.
Giving her a gentle smile the bulky blue male took a few steps closer.
"well I rather like you too Elayi - your a nice wolf, though we have only just met, might be rushing it somewhat to jump into a pack together"
He responded and then rushed on to make sure she didn't get the wrong impression.
"thats not to say I don't know what the future holds of course, just that I think you ought to get settled into the pack first - I don't really plan on going anywhere anytime soon - we have time to get to know one another...perhaps.."
