Selena turned her head to look at the pink mare. And she cocked her head in confusion. "Healing powers?" at first it seemed as if she was asking about some kind of magic, but when Sel remembered how her bruise and cuts tingled and felt better after coming out of the water, she understood. "I guess you can say that," she answered, laughing at herself, " When I went in the first time, I had a nasty rip on my flank, and it healed twice as fast as it would have normally." She turned right, around a young oak.
"And the water is also very relaxing, good for the muscles." She said turning her head back to watching the trail.

This news made Althea excited to get to the springs. "Really?! I want to see if maybe the springs can either boost my own healing abilities or not. We never had springs like these in my home lands because we didn't need them." she said thoughtfully. The excitement began to make her prance and dance along side her friend. She almost ran into the young oak but she missed it just in time.

Selena nodded at the pink mare's words. She talked alot. It didn't particularly both Selena, but it was just something she noticed. Selena tended to talk only when she saw necessary. Words were not her greatest virtue. She much rather listened and watched than spoke.
They walked together along the path, which was quickly diminishing into just some stepped on grass, towards the springs. The two mare's didn't look at each other much, Selena was trying to see the whole map inside her head. The springs were hidden, so it was easy to become lost. But soon they were there. Selena could smell the foul stench of the magic waters.

"Oh my! It stinks!" Althea exclaimed and then quickly sucked in a breath as she realized that she probably just offened the other mare. But it really did smell awfully bad. She wasn't sure at all how this thing could be healing waters with it smelling so badly.
"Are you sure this is the place? Does it really and truely heal?" she asked trying to be polite but also trying to get some kind of understanding. Maybe it just smelled bad because a lot of hurt Soquili came to it and it took on the stench of the wounds and illnesses that they had healed here.

Selena gave a loud laugh that made a bird or two fly off and brought tears to her eyes. " It smells do to the minerals in the water," she could clearly remember how her two-legger, Anope, had explained that the mineral sulfur was responsible for the foul sell, but also for the healing powers of the water. "Don't worry, the water is perfectly fine. And also clean. Just don't drink it. It will make your stomach ache." She added with a wink. And then, step by step, she entered one of the shallower pools. And sighed at the heat and relaxation it brought to her muscles.

Althea wrinkled her nose and wasn't sure if she really wanted to get into the water or not. "Does the smell stick to your coat when you get out?" she asked curiously. If it did then she certainly wasn't going to get in, no matter if it boosted her healing powers or not. She walked over to the edge of the spring and watched at her new friend got into the water with a sigh.

Selena let out a harty laugh. The pink mare was quite a peculiar character. Usually, such a responce would make her smirk in cruel humorr or snort. But for some reason, it was truely funny. Something about the mare just made Sel...like her. She couldn't understand it.
"No, it won't. You will still smell the same. And even if it were to cling to you, the wind would pull it off soon enough." She informed her.
She shook her head backwards so that her hat would fall onto the nearby rock. And she smiled and lowered herself even more into the waters of the spring. The sensation of the water was unbeleivable, though the smell took awhile to get used to though...
