“Maybe,” He replied in a noncommittal tone to her suggestion of nagging his naggers back. Nosferatu knew better, sort of, than to actually mouth off to his Mother, his sister on the other hand he could do so with very little consequences upon his head. Yes indeed.
His hands moved to press against the sides of his hips as his crimson eyes turned to survey the park for a long moment, his demeanor seemed to say that he owned not just this park but the world in general and every part of the world bowed to his whims, as well as it should, for he was an awesome force to be reckoned with. “I think we should play on some swings, there a playground in this place?” he queried, despite ‘owning’ his domain he didn’t know where things were in this particular corner of the world of which he owned.

Swings. Swings...Hm. Sally looked around her, trying to recall if there even was a playground here. Generally when she came here she just sat on this bench and stared at the sky until it was morning. Sally was a very boring individual. Eventually she recalled a playground in the area; she remembered ending someone's life on the slide, where they had tried to hide from her. Silly mortals. Without so much of an indication of recollection to Nosferatu, the Monster turned around and wandered off, heading mutely towards the playground.
Why bother telling him to follow? He probably would anyway...and if he didn't, well, there was one less threat to his wellbeing. One less thing his Mother would have to worry about.
The slouching woman stood a little ways away from the swings that the boy wanted to play on, withdrawn into herself with her right hand grasping her left arm. "Sad. A playground should be an innocent, happy place." She mused out loud, her sickly eyes nervously surveying the area.

Oh he followed alright, he didn't keep her out of his sight in fact as he trailed pretty closely after her, and he hummed a song softly to himself as he followed. Even as a small lad he had a rather decent voice even as he hummed. He did dawdle a little bit here and there sometimes he got distracted by a moth or small plant he hadn't seen before, his pointed ears twitching as he cocked his head to the side before he remembered he was following someone and he trotted after her before she got too out of his sight.
A frog jumped past Sally soon followed by a pouncing Nosferatu but both life forms were nowhere close to touching Sally. After a few moments of chasing this frog he gave up and hopped onto the seat of one of the swings, standing on it, hands clutched at the chains of the swing, "So, why can't I touch you?" he was curious.

Sally's rarely blinking eyes watched the boy as he pounced and harassed the frog; well, at least his persistance wasn't limited to one specie. Even amphibians were helpless against his skills at annoying. She said nothing to him but merely observed...and when he asked his question, her eyes widened in surprise. Wow, that was a question she didn't want to answer! She stared at the boy, hoping she'd misheard him. When it became apparent that she had not misheard him, she sighed heavily.
"Because I am a Monster." Sally told him, her sickly red gaze focusing on him. Might as well tell him the truth...it should stop him from following total strangers in the dead of night! "If you touch me, I might not be able to stop myself from killing you."

Nosferatu stood upon his perch and stared at her quietly with crimson eyes. That was an interesting little situation that she had going on. He tilted his head side to side and then nodded a bit, "Okay," he said quietly not seeming scared or bothered by the idea that if he accidentally touched her that he might end up dead.
Death came to all things and for some reason the idea of dying didn't frighten him at all, even at this young age.
"Don't you have a hobby or something you do during the night? Or do you just wander and stuff?" Nosferatu asked curiously, making an effort to know his reluctant companion for the night.

Okay? Just 'Okay'?! Sally's sickly eyes blinked again in absolute surprise. Was this kid insane? He either had a death wish or a very low survival instinct. The Monster was about to ask him a question when asked about hobbies at night. So...she told him he could possibly die while hanging out with her, and he wants to know her hobbies? What? This boy is strange! Exhausting, even!
"I read sometimes. I'm boring." Sally said quickly, absently; she was still in awe. "I wander, but I look at the sky too." A greyish hand lifted, pointing up towards the night sky. It dropped moments later, and her quick, dumbfounded tone of voice dropped to a louder, almost exhauted tone. "...HOW?! How can you possibly be okay with that? With possibly dying?!"

He listened to her hobbies and blinked slowly before he admitted with a small nod, "Yah, it does sound boring," Nos replied bluntly. He didn't care for reading or writing or anything that required his attention while sitting still and thus it was deemed below him, very much so.
Nosferatu noted the tone of her voice with a tilt of his head from side to side as if he was watching a very interesting little creature doing a tap dance while juggling. The vampire bat child shrugged as he moved his body into a sway to get the swing started as he stood upon the seat, "Everything dies," he said casually, "why be scared of it? I don't wanna die but if and when it happens I'll fight until I can't fight anymore. That's all I can do right?"
Oh no he wasn't going to run into the Grim Reaper's arms and give him a hug, most definitely not, but instead Nos planned to kick the overgrown skeleton where it hurt and then flee as fast as he could while he could until the horror recovered enough to chase him down again.

Well...the kid had a point. Still, it didn't sit right with her. Why should a kid that young think about death? That part of him was rather mature for someone his age. Sally was about to express this to him as well, then an interesting scent returned; it was that predator from earlier. It had either caught wiff of either her or the child and came to investigate...or worse. Her sickly eyes widened and seemed alert, and she looked around, trying to pinpoint where it was going to come from. All the while a deep and feral growl rumbled from within.
"Get on my back." Sally ordered, glancing over her shoulder at the boy who was standing on the swing. She didn't like the smell of this predator, and though she was a threat, at least she knew she didn't intend to hurt the boy. "Don't touch my skin." Her reminder was not a kind one; her striped shirt was thick, so she had little worry of being enticed by his heartbeat through it. It was easier to protect something on your back, since you didn't have to guess where it was, and turnnig to face the opponent always kept it hidden.
Regardless, the woman was tense, looking around and growling in warning to whatever was approaching. Something odd had shifted about her features, too; they were sharper, her red irises and pupils were noticibly smaller...and her teeth were no longer human; they were pointed, and there were rows of them. Her fingers had curled into claws and held out at her sides at the ready; the tips pointed and black.

Nosferatu had watched this woman curiously as she seemed to want to say something but suddenly stopped herself and seemed to be on edge. She commanded him to get on her back but not touch her skin; despite his growth it was a good thing that he was still rather diminutive, in this case it probably worked in everyone's favor.
He couldn't find it in himself to sass the woman especially when she looked rather intimidating and her behavior had managed to actually get him to show concern. With a simple shift of his wings he ambled down and scampered to her, small hands and clawed feet gripping to cloth he climbed on and clung for dear life with feet, hands, and wing-claws much like a real bat might cling to anything when it wasn't upside down. Nosferatu found he was unable to think or do anything and seemed content to watch as the scene unfolded.

It didn't take long before the bald creature made itself seen before all those present. Unlike usual his eyes were wide open and seeking, his crimson eyes glowed but faintly as he gazed around curiously, he had followed the scent here but now it seemed covered by that other being.
Damn it.
His eyes soon came glued on the rather offensively standing woman and he raised an eyebrow. That was that other creature he had sensed earlier, did she have the meal earlier or was she hiding it for later? She seemed the type to waste and not eat the entire thing, a shame really.
He let out a small grunt, "Where is it?"

A small part of her was pleased when Nosferatu submitted to her demands without a squeak; really, it was the first time he'd done as she asked all night. The Monster stood still until the boy was settled more or less; he was a lot lighter than she thought he'd be. Either that or she was must stronger than she thought. Even as Nosferatu moved on her back, she never dropped her guard. Her body as tense as ever, her eyes as seeking as they were prior. The boy insisted on following her, and while she'd rather be without him, at least she knew she could probably hold herself back from chomping on him. The stranger? Not so much.
That much became apparent when he stepped into her line of vision. Her gaze became focused, taking in the form and the way it moved; and once it was there, it didn't budge. Sally kept her narrowed eyes on the bald predator.
"Go. Away." She hissed out, her head shifting in a curt, forceful nod as she spoke. Still, the Monster was careful not to obviously disclose her knowledge of there even being someone with her. "Go feed elsewhere."

The batboy couldn't help but believe that this particular moment was pretty damn bad a** and that he wouldn't change it for the world. The only that would make it better? He wasn't sure but Nosferatu was pretty sure that fighting would make it pretty fun, for him as a spectator at least, but not so much for his newfound companion he supposed. He puffed out his cheeks a little bit, why did he have to be so caring? Honestly. It ruined his fun in the end.
The bald man stared at Sally impassively and made to step closer to her quietly, "How are you going to make me?" he challenged openly. "Waste not, want not." The bald figure didn't seem all that impressive at first glance he didn't smile or grin he just stared unnervingly at the female creature with a stoic face. Honestly? Why was this wasteful creature trying to protect the meal? Most were thankful for his slightly carrion nature.
Of course he required that the body still at least twitched a bit in death throes before he snacked on the flesh. Izaak supposed, quietly, that he could ask this creature for help to direct him to a new meal elsewhere, but this one seemed so much easier, seriously.
Where ever it was.

Sally's stare never waivered, standing her ground despite the bald man's step forward. His challenge was met with a feral snarl, her upper lip curling to reveal the rows of pointed teeth. It was then she took a step closer herself, still standing at the ready. Truthfully she did want to fight this other Monster...Nosferatu was on her back, what if he fell? Worse, what if an attack missed her, but hit him? well, that wouldn't help her whole sudden need to protect him, now would it?
No, no it wouldn't.
"Look elsewhere. Leave me be." Sally uttered in a low, flat tone. Clearly she was giving him no other option. The child that may or may not have been here would not be handed over. Whether or not she had him, or knew where he was. Which she did. Luckily her scent had thus far hidden him. "Get. Out." Meaning of her area, of course.

Nosferatu quietly leaned his forehead against the back of his protector whether out of boredom or to hide himself better, it was uncertain, but he still made no sound which was pretty lucky thus far.
Izaak uttered a small sigh this hunger had really started to gnaw at his gut with a ceaseless abandon and this one wasn't being forthcoming with the snack he had scented much earlier. Izaak just knew that he had taken too long, obviously the greedy she-creature had devoured it all and the body was probably long since cold.
Hmph.
"Fine," he said after a moment of inner deliberation and he turned and walked back off. It wasn't certain if he'd appear again. Why fight over a meal that wouldn't be suitable for him anymore?

Sally lightly growled until the man turned his back to her and walked away. Once he was out of her sight she snorted, perhaps in an attempt to get his stench out of her nose so she could better determine where he was. Once she was happy with the distance between them, she knelt down closer to the ground so the boy could climb off of her easier.
"It's safe now, more or less." She informed the boy, still surveying the area around her. Her features had settled back down to normal, her teeth and hands included. "Thank you, for staying quiet." She resisted the urge to pat him on his head for being a good boy. Sickly red eyes fell on Nos for a moment, then lifted again to look around. Damnit, she hated knowing that she could still smell him.
"This is why you don't go out at night, Nosferatu." Sally chided.

He took her kneeling as his signal to get down and he did so without much of a fuss. While it was fun it was also a little tiring for he had to concentrate to stay gripped onto her and that caused certain tenseness within the muscles and tendons where he gripped on. Nosferatu dusted himself off and nodded at the woman when she thanked him for being silent and then blinked at her other set of words. "But it's so boring just staying in all night and I'm never tired at night either," he said sulkily.
The other predator was never too near but it wasn't leaving the area either, obviously it had decided to still skulk about but this time for a different meal in another part of the park. Somewhere, distant there was a thin cry to the air but it wasn't distinguishable from human or animal.
