"Righto!" Chao replied and hung up, grabbing Reid's jacket from where it'd been thrown and her own satchel she quickly headed towards the stairs and up.
"Fast mu!" Reid cheered, clinging to Chao's neck and sliding over so it was more of a piggy back ride than anything.
"I'm going fast," Chao replied and pushed open Reid door, then the closet and the duo emerged in Reid's room at the HQ just as Ike knocked.
"Ike!" Reid called back and hopped off his Mu's back to glide downwards onto the ground and dash to the door. Of course he was too short to actually open the door and only got as far as hovering up to the doorknob and attempting to throw his weight sideways before his Mu came over and opened the door herself.
"Hey guys," she greeted.

"Hey, Chao," Rabid laughed and waved, trying to pry herself from her son's tight grasp, "Ike, honey. Let go?"
Malachi just stood there, jaw hanging slack. Finally, his eyes lit up and a wide grin spread across his face.
"Reid growed too!"
"Oh my!" Rabid said finally able to pull free, "When'd it happen, Chao?"
Poe popped his little head out from the bag, tail wagging happily.
"Awk!" he chirped, "AWKAWK!"

Reid grinned, glowing and fluttering his wings, "yes! N'Ike here an'he growed too!" with a laugh the firefly hopped into the air, did a fast glide, and attempted to simotanously pounce, hug, and divebomb his friend.
"Heya Morbid, hey Ike," Chao grinned, laughing as Reid energeticly greeted the other Mishap. "Um... the..." she counted backwards in her head, "About two weeks ago? The fifth I think. I have it marked on the calender at home. When'd Ike grow?" her eyes shifted to Poe and she smiled, "ah, is this the little one who attempted to go for a swim then?"

"Really?" Rabid laughed, "Ike too!" Then, at the mention of swimming, she instinctively looked around her, her eyes eventually stopping at the dragon in the bag.
"Hm? Oh! Yeah, this is him..."
"AWK!"
Ike laughed and clung to his friend as he fell, sending them both to the ground in a tangled heap, but being quite sure that he landed on the bottom. He gave Reid a big hug of doom before letting go.
"We growed together!"
"So..." Rabid smiled down at the boys, wishing she had her...wait. She reached into her bag, beneath Poe, and pulled out her camera, quickly snapping a picture and hanging the camera off her wrist. She laughed and motioned toward the stairs, "So...shall we?"

"Hey there," Chao waved to the little dragon and laughed lightly, "wow, really? Ike's gotten so big, looks like he's got more than a few inches on Reid now."
Reid 'off'ed slightly at the hug and grinned, fluffing the soft fluff on his friend's tummy with his hands where the other toddler's shirt had been moved up. "We did," he nodded and hopped off so Ike could get up.
"Have I ever mentioned that I love you," Chao asked, grinning like a mad woman when Rabid pulled out the camera. "Mmm, we shall," Chao offered the other woman her arm, "to camelot! Or... barton or whever we're going."

Rabid laughed and hooked her arm into Chao's, beginning to lead her down the stairs, "Thank you, m'lady. I'm afraid that, by agreeing to go on this trip, you've agreed to let me drag to to where ever I desire. We're goin' to Mei-Vaar."
Ike leaped up and offered his arm to Reid, as Miss Chao had. He grinned and said, "Lessgo."
Poe was, in all actuality, beginning to feel a bit seasick. The rocking shoulder bag wasn't agreeing with him...

"Mei-Vaar? Another world?" Chao asked, with a tilt of her head, curious but obviously not bothered. It wasn't like she a native to this world anyway.
Reid hooked his own arm with Ike's and nodded, excited by the prospect of going wherever they were going with his friend, "mhm, lessgo," and followed after their mothers.

"Mmhm. The world I grew up in, sadly enough," Rabid said just as they reached the lot out front, "and we're going on that." She let go of Chao's arm and ran over to a strange form, covered by a black tarp. She pulled the cover off and gave an exaggerated "heavely-lights-shining-down-and-angels-singing" noise.
There stood a fairly large black-and-chrome motorcycle, decorated with elaborate tribal designs and seemingly with a few extra parts. On its side, though, was a matching bucket for holding extra passengers, albeit small ones, which detracted a bit from its tough appearence.
"I hope you don't mind!"
Ike's eyes widened when he saw the vehicle. Mummy'd only shown him once, and even then only for a moment. It was so shiny...

Chao stared then turned to look at Rabid, "damnit woman, just marry me already." She hurried over and inspected the motorcycle with glee, "ohmigodsit'ssoshinyandprettyanditcangoFASTright?"
Reid stared as well, also enraptured by the shinyness. He'd only seen things like this on the teev but it was millions of times better in real life.

"Oh, of course I'll marry you!" Rabid pretended to swoon, but then laughed, "Mmhm. Goes faster than most. Everything in Mei-Vaar goes fast." She sidled over to the bag at the back and pressed a button 5 times, causing 4 black-and-chrome helmets to appear. She would never have said so, but she was quite happy to be able to impress her friend. She dropped her bag onto the button and snapped the lid halfway on before distrubuting the helmets. She put her own on, mounted the motorcycle, kicked down the kickstand, revved the engine, and yelled, "Get on! Mind the muffler."
Ike looked down at his helemt for a moment, stunned.
"Well..." he reasoned, "Lessgo!" He grabbed Reid's hand and began running for the bucket on the side, "Ike or Reid go in back?"
Poe struggled over the lip of the bag and into the outer motorcycle carrying...thing. He stood on the tips of his toes and peered out, his tail wagging and his tongue hanging out.
"AWWWWK!"

"Oh darling, I'm so happy," Chao grinned and slipped on the helmet, hopping onto the motorcycle with ease. "We'll buy ATVs and a house in the country, like we always wanted, and our children can terrorize the neighbors all the live long day."
Reid clutched his helmet and allowed himself to be tugged closer to the motorcycle. At Ike's question he looked from Ike to himself, he was definately the smaller of them now, not that he minded too much, Ike was quite climbably anyway.... "Wou'd Ike mind goin'n back? Reid prob'y coun't see over Ike if Reid was in back."

Rabid laughed richly, and then flicked her head, motioning for Ike to get in.
Malachi nodded and grinned, suddenly realizing that he was taller than Reid. He leaped into the sidebucket and bent his knees, allowing Reid room to sit between his legs. This was going to be fairly uncomfortable, he knew, but anything for his best friend! He slipped his helmet on and grabbed the metal sides of the sidebucket.

Chao smiled and got herself comfortably situated on the bike, clipping her own helmet into place.
Reid fluttered his wings and glided in, fixing on his helmet once he was seated between Ike's legs and gripped onto the sides as well.

Rabid gave everyone a thumbs-up before she snapped a final picture of the boys, hung her camera around her neck, and gunned the engine, speeding out of the lot and down the road.
Ike bent forward and wrapped his arms and tail around Reid, feeling as though the wind was going to rip him out of his seat. He took delight, though, in watching the scenery flash by. So many trees!
The dragon out back was perfectly content in sticking his head out of the bag, the motorcycle breaking the wind for him. Every so often, as another vehicle passed by, he gave his customary greeting of "AWK!" and felt quite depressed when none replied.
Rabid was not certain of her directions, and had to go by her gut. Eventually, though, she saw a familiar patch of skyand earth. In one corner of said patch, a cloud was passing by...no...behind...
Rabid looked around to see if anyone else was on the road with them, and then gunned the engine, pushing the bike to its max and heading straight through the inconspicuous portal.
On the other side was a familiar city, a great busy place of silver and glass. The equivalent of flying chairs zipped around the air above them. Paying no attention to her surroundings, Rabid parked the motorcycle on a patch of dark pavement beside a large building.
"Please step off the vehicle," the building buzzed in several different languages. Rabid nonchalantly stepped off the bike, removed her helmet, and shook her hair free.
"Welcome to Mei-Vaar," she smiled, placed her helmet on her seat, and quickly retrieved her shoulder bag.

Reid had craned his neck every which way during the ride, trying to take in everything at once, sparing a moment to smile at Ike when the other Mishap had latched onto him.
He'd 'oo'ed when they they'd suddenly gone through the portal, not that the sound had been able to compete with the wind's song. And now they were in someplace completely different and there were even more sights and sounds to take in.
"Whoo!" Chao cheered once they'd arrived, throwing her arms up and grinning happily, a motorcycle and a portal, wow.
"So this is Mei-Vaar?" she asked, pulling off the helmet and giving her head a shake before stepping off the vehicle and looking around "wow."
