Amaranta listened as Risasi explained the game. It seemed fairly easy to her. Though when he mentioned that it was a game of running and chasing she knew that she really didn't stand a chance. She smiled along none the less. She wanted to try playing, playing wasn't something that she got to do very much.
"OK you can be it." Amaranta said simply she got ready to run waiting for his command to start running.

He laughed, nodding.
"Alright, that sounds good to me. I'm going to let you get a head start, okay? You can run and climb and try to hide if you want, but if I tag you with my paw you're it!" He swung his thick tail behind him, crouching and resting his head on his paws.
"Okay," he even closed his eyes, just to give her a bit more of a start. He knew it wasn't going to be fair, but he'd play well enough so she had fun. That was the point, after all.
"Better start running!" he announced, "I'm going to get you!"

Amaranta felt a little giggle escape her lips before she peeled away. This was strange... she was playing and having fun. For a moment her mind was freed from the stresses that came from being Atia's offspring, she was playing.
She ran weaving her way around tree's a rocks, that was one possible advantage she would have over the older leopan, she was still small and nibble and able to fit her self into small spaces where instead he would have to go around. Already strategy was coming into play, she was sure he was chasing her by now, she dared a look over her shoulder and saw him, he was running so fast. She tucked her tail in and ran full speed hoping to put a little more distance between them, laughing the whole time.

Risasi watched her go, grinning. He was happy to see her having fun, at least! As important as it was to train and be strong, and learn: playing was important to a young cub. And an older one, in the case of the light blue gladiator.
He bounded after her, playing a lot slower than he needed to. He wasn't going to play like she could actually beat him, of course. It really wouldn't be fair, what with his ability to bounce up to her and close the distance between them fairly easily.
Though, he had to admit, she was pretty fast. He hadn't been expecting that. So he sped up a bit. Now he was having fun.
"I'm going to get you!" He called, bounding after her and laughing. He had to try a bit harder than he thought he would, but it just made him happier. He swung his big paw to tag her gently, but missed the first time.

Amaranta laughed as she felt his paw swish past her back end she scuttled forward tucking her tail in between her legs so that he didn't catch it.
She knew that she wouldn't be able to continue out running him much longer "You can't catch me" she called over her shoulder. She made the mistake of looking over her shoulder to see how close he was to her, and she lost her footing, she did a somersault over top of herself and found her self laying on her back looking right up into the face of Risasi.

The big leopon grinned and bounded after her, light on his feet and looking a bit silly in his playful state. Not that he was one to mind. He didn't get embarrassed very easily, mostly because he didn't think he was doing anything silly at all. He was playing with a cub! It was something more people should do more often: it made him feel youthful.
And it was fun!
He skidded to a stop, though, when he saw her fall. He looked down at the cub that was right in front of his paws, surprised but glad that he hadn't run right into her.
He grinned, knowing she was probably resilient enough to take a fall in stride, he picked up his paw and poked her tummy with his finger, claws not extended.
"I just caught you," he pointed out, making her boast from just moments before come back to bite her.

Amaranta couldn't help but giggle a little, this was the first time she had ever acted as a cub should. And truth be told she never thought that she would get this chance again anytime soon, so she decided to live it to the fullest.
She jumped over onto her feet and looked at the leopan, "OK I am it, you run and I chase right." she said it like it was a question but really it was more of a statement, she went into a play bow signifying she was ready to go. She looked up at Risasi quite content.

Risasi nodded, turning to run as he did so. He wasn't going to bolt for it, of course, but he wasn't going to 'let her win'. At least not easily. Where would the fun in that be. Grinning from ear to ear, he bounded a few paces before calling back.
"Chase me all you want! You'll never catch me!"
Which might have been true, if he wanted it to be and, since karma doesn't like someone who gloats, if he hadn't suddenly lost track of his paws. He was only a few feet away from her before he came toppling down, landing on his face and flopping to the side, his front legs having slipped from under him. They were now somewhere near his back feet, but he was a bit too dizzy to notice.
He started laughing really hard, shaking his head in wonder.

Amaranta skidded to a halt beside Risasi, and lifted her front paw gingerly, and placed it on him. "Tag" she said simply with a smile on her face. She was quite proud of herself having caught the much larger animal so quickly, of course she didn't want to consider the fact that Risasi had tripped just as she had.
"I like tag." she said quickly. She felt great pride in herself, and for a moment she even considered going home tonight to brag about it, perhaps it would invoke some sort of response from her mother, perhaps pride in her daughter. But Amaranta shook her head quickly, that was such a silly idea Atia would actually just be mad that her daughter had wasted a perfectly good afternoon playing silly games instead of training and doing tasks set for her. Instead Amaranta decided she would save her stories for her brothers, perhaps slightly embellish them to make them more astonishing.
Amaranta turned her head up towards the sky to see what time it was, and she quickly began to worry, the sun had moved a great deal in the sky while she had been with Rasisi, and now she feared she would be late for the evening training session. She looked at him her eyes filled with worry, "I am sorry but I must leave now Rasisi, thank you for the afternoon and showing me how to play." she turned quickly and ran full speed towards her den, carefully watching where her paws fell.

Risasi laughed. Turn about was fair play! She had caught him fair and square, just as he had, and he was completely tickled by the fact. He rolled over onto his back, watching her from upside down.
"I thought you would like it!" He said with a nod, bumping his head onto the floor since he was flat on his back. Laughing, he watched as the little leopard looked up at the sky. He followed her gaze. It was getting a bit late.
"Alright. Yeah, you should probably head back home before your mom gets mad. But we can play again some time, if you want to!"
He righted himself and got his paws under him, standing back up and watching her go. He wasn't worried, since this pride was safe and she probably wandered alone all the time. Still he watched her just in case, until he couldn't see her any more, and then he turned and started back toward his den.
