Marrie wrapped her arms around Ishtar's neck and hugged him, nuzzling into his chest. "The bonds of true love are strong." Then she raised up on her tip toes and kissed him her lips hesitant to leave his. She nuzzled his soft cheek with hers and flattened her feet looking him in the eyes.
"When should we start our journey? If we go tell our families now we can meet back in the morning right here." She crouched down and drew a heart on the ground at there feet, the point showing the direction that the star had fallen. She then wrote 'Marrie loves Ishtar' on the inside.
"This is an important spot, I want to always remember it." She looked up at Ishtar smiling happily.

Ishtar smiled, offering his hands to help her up. “its settled then, this spot tomorrow at the first rays of sunlight.” He kissed her knuckles lightly, before reluctantly pulling away. “your going to be missed my dear, and you must break the news to your mother and father, and I must do the same. I must bid you adieu like a gentlemen and wish only that the day will pass by quickly.” Ishtar stayed to watch her walk home, he wanted to be sure she was ok, nothing was truly safe, and he wanted his marrie to be more safe than anything possible.
The boy signed to her in sign language that he loved her, before turning away and running back into the trees, a light heartedness in his step. Ishtar had got the only woman that had caught his eye… and he couldn’t be more ecstatic.

Marrie blushed and wrapped her tail and arms around Ishtar for a tight hug "I'll see you at day break, my love"
A gust of wind came and lifted her hair and blowing it around Ishtar, leaving her scent with him. She went up on her tip toes and kissed his nose, then pulled away and hurried off her tail swayed behind her as she moved, Marrie turned to saw Ishtar sign "I love you" and run nto the nearby woods.
(time jump)
It was still dark, Marrie shifted the bag on her shoulder containing cat food her mom had given her.
Marrie was not a good hunter, she played with her mice rather then eat them, and as for birds, Marrie just didn't feel right eating something that flew through the sky she loved so much. Honestly the only thing Marrie could catch and eat on her own was fish, and Ishtar had been the one to teach her how to do that. But the chance of them passing water ever time she was hungry wasn't that great so she would deal with the weight on her little shoulders.
Marrie squatted down tucking her tail under her and drew hearts in the dirt humming and waiting.

Ishtar had bickered with Valiant for what felt like hours, hoping just maybe she would understand... but she didn't. He was still her baby boy in her opinion, and to him she was still his mother. Maybe not biologically, but she was indeed the closest thing to it. Saving him and raising him like her own... it almost made him tear up to think about it. But there was little she could do to stop him, he was determined and she was far into her pregnancy.
So there he stood, watching Marrie draw in the sand with a warm smile spreading across his face. She was so perfect... everything he wasn't. He didn't deserve her, but he was too greedy to let her go. Stupid contradictions, he was hers body and soul, and this would prove it.
"Marrie." He whispered smiling before stepping out further into the moonlight and smiling to her. Ishtar would do anything to make her smile, even if it meant he had to catch fifty birds a day just to please her. He would do it. He would teach her to hunt and fend for herself in the wilderness. Hell someone had to, it might as well be him.

Marrie jumped up and spun around quickly spilling some of the cat food out in a semi circle. "Oh Ishy! you're here." Then she realized she was spilling food and bent over quickly to shove it back into the bag, he tail went straight up into the air before curling forward leaving the tip of her tail resting on her head. "Oh goodness, we haven't left yet and I'm already being clumsy."
She looked up at Ishtar as she pawed the last of the food back into the bag. "I'll try not to slow us down. I'm really fun to have around I'm told. " She said trying to make her case while looking pathetically cute. She was hoping he wouldn't get tired of having her around him ever. "My mom said I should only go where my heart leads me, but that if I go with you that you had better take good care of me." blushes "I told her you would."

Ishtar smiled softly, reaching a hand down to help her up shaking his head. “I’m sure nothing bad will happen, all we are doing is wandering until we find your star.” He lowered his face to her hand and gave it a light peck, before straightening and smiling more.
“I hardly slept, the idea of being with you was just too much to keep me in one place… so I scouted ahead a bit… I believe it is about three miles in that direction.” He lifted the other hand not holding hers and pointed in the direction of the lake that Valiant had met Joshua… perhaps they would have the same luck.
“Shall we my princess? There will be plenty of food along the way.” Ishtar offered his elbow to the girl, still smiling like the charmer he was and looking dreamily in the direction of where he believe the star landed.
