So if I’m going down, I’m going down good
And if I’m going down, then I’m going down clean
And if I’m going down then I’m going
The prettiest broken girl you’ve ever seen.

She smirked, and started to twirl the wand between her fingers. At least whoever it was at lost their tough guy attitude, although the small barking noises made her want to kick the dog. And the whining? Well, that was just disgusting. Have some pride in yourself, at least. "Will you shut the bloody hell up? Want someone to find us?" she hissed, although she didn't relinquish her hold of the wand. " A simple nodding of the head would have worked just fine." she added on harshly, before tossing the wand down at the dog.

She made a half turn, and raised her wand to the point where she could see better. No point in staying here any longer, seeing as whoever it was had gotten what they wanted. "I'm assuming you're an animagus, seeing as huskies don't tend to hang out in the Forbidden Forest. " she paused, tilting her chin up slightly. It was just a bunch of random guesses, was what it was. The dogs reaction would only confirm, or deny them. "I won't bother asking you to change back, but I'll figure out who you are soon enough."

Morgan never bothered to look back at her companions to see how they were getting on. She could tell Angelica was getting tripped up here or there, but she always seemed to recover just fine. And from the tugging at her hand, Sam was finding the forest tricky to navigate as well. Slowing down slightly, Morgan gave the others a chance to gather themselves. They took the opportunity to light their wands. The redhead blinked away from the light, trying to keep her eyes adjusted to the darkness of the trees. Angelica asked if they were almost there, but before Morgan could respond, the sound of growling drifted towards them. A bark rang out through the trees soon after.

"Shush, Angelica." Morgan listened hard for where the sound had come from. It wasn't too easy since Sam and Angelica insisted on discussing the habitat of the common dog. She didn't take kindly to the way Sam wrapped his arm around Angelica. When he pulled Morgan closer, she fought against it, but didn't release his hand. After a few moments, she nodded. "Yes, it was just a dog. A larger breed... but not terribly close. The forest confuses the senses." The sounds the dog made bounced through the trees and drifted through leaves, confusing its origins location. She began walking again, dragging Sam with her and Angelica in turn with him. The clearing was just a few more feet ahead.

After Morgan confirmed that the noise was just a dog, Angelica released Sam's hand and pushed his arm off of her. She saw the look on Morgan's face when he had placed his arm over her, and she would prefer not to have her friend angry with her for something that wasn't her fault. She had already shushed her, so she could tell Morgan was irritated, but whether it was at Angelica's close proximity to Sam or her speaking when Morgan was trying to listen, Angelica couldn't tell.

"Well, as long as it's not close," Angelica said as the the three students stumbled into the clearing. Well, Angelica and Sam stumbled. Morgan strode as if she owned the place. Crouching a bit to wipe the dirt off her shoes, Angelica avoided looking up for as long as she could, on the chance that there were thestrals standing before them. Angelica could see thestrals, having seen her elderly great-grandfather pass away. Continuing to brush her shoes off for much longer than necessary, she glanced up. There were two thestrals in the clearing with them, a fully grown one and a small one. It was most likely a mother and its child. She looked at the ground near her feet, pretending to see something interesting. Like many wizards and witches, Angelica felt uncomfortable about thestrals. Both the creatures regarded the three students with interested looks for a moment before a small breeze fluttered past the students and the thestrals smelled them. The larger thestral raised its head in...recognition?...and took a step closer, lowering its head and sniffing around Morgan's hands. Angelica stood up from her crouch and crossed her arms. She didn't know why she had decided to come, except that she wanted to ensure that Sam and Morgan didn't fight--If that's what they call it these days, anyway--again. She looked away from the creatures as the baby stretched its leathery wings and followed its mother toward Morgan.

User Image Aaron stood up on all fours again as the girl started to hiss her words at him. He snarled. He didn't care if someone found them. Besides, they were in the damn Forbidden Forest. Who the hell would be dumb enough to wander in it at night? His ear twitched as he knew his answer. Him personally being at the top of that list. He growled again at her. He was new to this. Actions came without real thought. She didn't have to get snappy.

Still, she had released his wand. He put a paw over and glared at the girl. She turned to leave, but left with a threat. Something caught in his throat. s**t. This was bad. He flattened his ears against his head and snarled at her. It was viscous with real anger in it now. He would not be found out. He barked loudly at her. Let the whole damn forest and all it's secrets know where they were. He didn't give a damn.

Aaron bent his head to pick up his wand between his teeth again. A constant growl coming from him. He backed away from the girl, into the shadows of the forest. He was pissed as he took off running again. He clenched his teeth and felt his wand splinter. He loosened his grip, but knew the damage was done. He'd have to find a new wand. Damn. He stopped his run and sat down in the small opening. He glanced up at the moon until the trees covered it. He laid down on the ground and sighed. He was so screwed.

User Image Sam felt Angelica wiggle free of him. Darn. So much for that. At least Morgan hadn't pushed him away. He gave Morgan's hand a little squeeze. He wanted her to know he was still holding on.

They were coming to a clearing. That barking rang out again. Sam shook his head. Damn dog. He'd zap it when-. Figures it burst through the trees. It didn't seem to notice them and took a seat. Then laid down even. Sam tightened his fingers around his wand. He was going to zap it.

Angelica moved funny. Sam looked back to her and watched as she fidgeted. He looked to Morgan. He looked around the clearing again. Thestrals. He couldn't see the damn things, but they had to be here right. He wasn't sure if he should expose that he couldn't see them or not. Did it make him weak if these two could see them and he could not? He thought so.

A flurry of movement sounded to the side of the group. Suddenly a dog appeared in front of them and just settled into the grass. Apparently it hadn't noticed them. Morgan felt Sam's hand tighten around hers as he tensed at the sight of the dog. She looked over to him and saw he was itching to cast a spell on it. Tugging on his hand, she shook her head to tell him no. If the dog was content to sit there, then let it lie.

As she looked around the clearing the Slytherins were now in, Morgan immediately spotted the pair of Thestrals. She smiled at the sight. For some reason she found them to be amazingly beautiful creatures. To her side she could hear Angelica shuffling about. Morgan assumed she was nervous and didn't bother her. The adult Thestral looked up then and sniffed it's way over to the redhead. It bumped its nose against Morgan's chest in greeting. She put her wand away and reached up to pet it gently on the forehead. Sam was looking around, but Morgan wasn't sure if he was searching for what he couldn't see, or just taking in the sights. The little Thestral trotted over to her and nibbled at her robes. Morgan giggled despite herself. Letting go of Sam's hand, she knelt down to hug the baby around the neck. "Are you alright?" she said to her housemates. They both seemed uncomfortable.

Angelica was just getting used to the presence of the thestrals when she noticed a large dog laying down on the other edge of the clearing. Managing to suppress a yelp, she simply walked to Morgan's side. She would rather deal with thestrals than dogs that might not be dogs. There were a lot of strange happenings tonight, from a dog wandering the grounds to Morgan and Sam's fight. Sighing softly, she watched Morgan pet the thestrals.

Sam looked as if he was itching to attack the canine. "Don't, Sam," Angelica said, gesturing to his wand hand with her chin before meeting his eyes and giving him a small glare. She too was dying to know what a dog was doing in the forest but attacking it wouldn't help.

Morgan asked Angelica and Sam how they were doing. Angelica turned her attention back to the thestrals, and saw that Morgan was now hugging the smaller of the two. Wrinkling her nose slightly, Angelica answered, "Quite alright, Morgs." She was lying, but there was no reason for either of her Housemates to know that.

User Image Sam looked down at Morgan's hand. Like hell he was going to let her tell or rather force him not to do. He lifted his wand just a bit, but Angelica too caught him. Both girls were against it. He didn't want to get jumped by them. He made a "tch" sound and lowered his wand.

Sam sighed with Morgan's question. He gazed around the clearing again. He heard Angelica's response. God, she was a bad lair. Sam knew he wouldn't be able to lie too much longer. He couldn't see them. He frowned and looked to the ground. He felt like he was losing as he opened his mouth, but there was nothing else he could do. "I feel like a blind man out..." He grumbled.

User Image Aaron jerked his head around as he finally started to pay attention to the issues at hand. He'd heard voices, but he was sure it was just the wind. It wasn't. There were a small group gathered at the edge of the woods. And as he watched, the girl in the lead got a "warm" welcome from a Thestral.

Aaron jumped to his feet and yelped. His wand went spilling from his jaws. It snapped in half on the ground, but his eyes were on the thestrals. His jaws moved with curses but only growling barks came out. He stared at the horses. He'd seen them before, but never so people friendly.

Aaron bent to retrieve his broken wand from the ground. He struggled with it. Once he would pick up one half the other would fall from his jaws. He would kill for fingers right then. But he glanced at the group again. He couldn't change. He growled at them, hoping it wouldn't get the Thestrals after him instead.

Adriane smiled a bit wanly as the dog began snarling at her. Well well, was that really the way to thank someone? She really could have just thrown wand off as far as she could. See how the mutt would have liked that. As the dog flattened his ears against his head, and gave a snarl that sounded more like angry than acting, she smirked. "That was only a guess, thanks for confirming it." she managed before the mutt started barking at her. Had half a mind to kick it, right there.

Then it took up running again, with the wand in its mouth. Of course, it had decided to run right where she was heading in the first place, so she had no choice but to follow after it. She followed in it's footsteps quietly, careful not to stumble on various things waiting to trip her up. Up ahead in the clearing, she could see a few other people already there, with the dog sitting obliviously in the middle of the whole thing. Smirking again, she couldn't help but wonder just how long it would take for them to notice her as she came just barely into sight and leaning against a tree. The two threstals that were there seemed to be giving a fairly warm welcome towards the red head there, although she couldn't completely recall who they were. She was certain they were older than her, though.

Morgan doubted Angelica's words but kept silent. She stood up and dusted the dirt off her clothes. Both Thestrals were bumping their noses against her now, looking for snacks. "Next time," she said to them, referring to the raw meat she often brought with her when she visited. When Sam spoke, Morgan stared at him. "You can't see them..." It wasn't a question, but not quite a statement either. Morgan had no reason to be shocked that the boy couldn't see the Thestrals, yet that was how she was feeling. She held out her hand to him. "Give me your hand. You can touch them."

Just then the dog nearby got agitated. Morgan couldn't tell if it was because of the Thestrals or because of herself and her companions. She heard a snapping sound and then growling. It seemed the dog, now able to be recognized as a breed of Husky, was ticked off. The Thestrals could easily take care of themselves, but being that there was a young one present, Morgan didn't want to take chances. So she growled back at the dog from deep in her throat. This whole evening was not helping to prove her normalcy in the least...

Angelica glanced over at the dog as it began to bark furiously. "I wonder what its problem is," she wondered aloud, as it continued to bark. She wondered if her words could even be heard, as the animal was still growling. Turning back to the thestrals, Angelica flinched as Morgan reached for Sam's hand, saying he could touch them. Angelica couldn't see why anyone would want to touch these creatures. She would wait to see Sam's reaction before reaching out her own hand to pet them.

Looking back over to the dog, which had quieted down, Angelica noticed a girl now present, leaning against a tree. "My, the thestrals are right popular tonight," she said, with an edge to her voice. Angelica didn't recognize the new girl and gave her a scrutinizing look, who was looking towards the Slytherins with the same type of look on her face.

Sam gave Morgan his hand without question. He loved the feel of her skin. But the dog it seemed was pissed. It had noticed them. "Can I jinx it now?" He asked, but knew the answer already. It didn't make him put his wand down any though.

Sam glanced to the new girl. OoooOoo. New girl. His mind started working on ways to make her his. If only for a while. But then, his hand was in Morgan's. He thought he heard her growl. And her skin was colder now. How odd. He met her eyes. He leaned in real close to her so he could whisper in your ear. "Will you tell me yet?" He asked, referring to the secret conversation long past.

But Sam wasn't one to ignore new girls easily. He tilted his head at her. She was Slytherin. He had passed her in the common room before. Still, she was younger than him. "Slytherin girls just aren't easy..." He grumbled loud enough for all the girls near him to hear. It made him laugh and turn his attention back to the dog.

User Image Aaron looked back up again. The thestrals were only staring at him. And more so, the students across the way were only staring at him. Though the single boy asked if he could jinx him. And the girl in the front growled back at him. Aaron gave one last loud snarl to the boy and then got silent. He was shocked that a perfect growl had come from a human girl. He sniffed the air. No. She wasn't human. Not all human at least. Human didn't smell like that. Even muggle and magic smelled different, but nothing like her.

Still, even if he wasn't making a sound, his whole body was tense. He wasn't sure what he would have to do to escape, but he would. He had no other choice. Aaron looked down at his broken wand. A soft whine came from him before he could stop it. He shook his whole form and growled again just so the others would come near him. He pawed over the wand, trying to move the pieces together so he could pick it up again.

"Apparently..." she said in response to Angelica. Morgan glared at Sam when he again asked to jinx the dog. As long as it kept its distance, there wouldn't be a problem. Sam's hand found hers and he again asked about what she was hiding. She slid her fingers down to his wrist and smirked. "No," she said flatly, then whispered back, "It is more fun to see you squirm." When he commented on Slytherin girls, Morgan dragged the nail of her index finger across his wrist. Ignoring Sam's fascination with the dog, she chose the soft, leathery nose of the adult Thestral, and gently placed Sam's hand there. The animal breathed out a large hot breath but otherwise was unaffected.

Having been preoccupied with the animals, Morgan hadn't noticed the girl the other two spoke of. She silently scolded herself for not being more alert. The girl was a Slytherin, but her face was blotched with shadows so her identity remained unknown for the moment. Perhaps the husky belonged to her? It seemed unlikely. And the dog seemed interested in something on the ground. She thought about casting Accio on whatever it was, but she didn't want the dog attacking.
