Chuckling more with every kiss, Eli finally pulled away from Mikaila with the goofy grin of a teen boy trying trying not to be seen with his girlfriend by his parents. "Mika, please! The girls! Even my sister's in there!" He kissed her lightly on her cheek. "And risk having more girls? Nooo thank you. Two's enough to worry about as it is." Nuzzling her neck, he sighed. "Well, guess we're done here. Better go back in to have a nice family dinner... with guests," he added, mentally encouraging himself to be nice to the boys. Little did he know, the fun was just beginning.

Elbi's ears perked up as well and she looked in the direction of the shed, but was distracted by Jocoa's question. "Hmm... oh yes! The cups!" Retrieving several wooden cups with a curious glance at Arian, she handed them to the cattaur to set out while she took the water pitcher and prepared to fill them as he put them down.

"Oh no no! Any time's a good time for you to visit!" Evi paused to glance at the front door. "Although it may not be the best time... it'll still be fine, I'm sure! Elbi and Dora just brought a few friends over, and, well, as I'm sure you'd guess, Eli's a bit stressed at the moment. But he'll be fine. And Mika will be glad to see you!"

Her bright, cheerful smile faded at the scream. "Oh my... Dora and Kenji are back there... but I'm sure they're just playing," she answered, though with a hint of uncertainty. If they were really in trouble, they would yell again, right?

"Kenji?" Izadora slowly followed his line of sight and looked at her fish. The one she'd been so proud of. The one she'd been sure that Kenji would love to be snacking on. Slowly, she looked back at him and fearing he might very well faint, she stepped back away from the meat shed without a word and closed the door. She leaned up against it, taking a deep sigh. It didn't matter why he was upset; just the fact that he was and she'd caused it made Izadora feel bad.

She turned around and with a comforting smile, walked over to him. The teenager placed her arm around his waist, turning him away from the sight carefully so as not to startle him anymore. "Come on, let's go inside. I need to start supper."

"So?" She pouted at the lose of contact. Mikaila lacked shame in the most basic sense. "Oh, come on! Don't you miss have tea partys with little ribbons and bows?" 'Done here?' She felt a little defeated. If he wasn't so keen to join a group of people he didn't like, they wouldn't be done for hours. But, thinking on it, this was probably for the best. At least now he was in a good mood.

She stood up and fluffed up her hair. After everything was back in place, she turned to her mate. "Guests are always nice. We don't nearly have enough of them. Now that I think about it...we've never had a dinner party! With beautiful dressings, oh, and I could have my hair done. But who would we invite?"

Shrinking slightly as she guided him away, a low purr began to rumble.
His headed nodded tentitivly, as he bent his arm out for her to take.
As a gentlemen should.
"I-I'm sorry, Izadora..I just..love fish.." his eye's looked down to his paw's, embarressed that he didn't fit the usual Cattaur description.
He swallowed, trying to sooth his dry throat..
"I don't think I could EA-t them.." he groaned and cleared his throat feeling his embarressment only increase.
Deciding that being quiet was the best course of action, Kenji kept his eye's down as Izadora took them back towards the house.
He felt like such a fool, and a dissappointment to Cattaur's.

Handling the wooden cups as though they were gold, he placed each one precisely kiddy-corner to each plate that he had set down. Glancing around, he saw a stack of small towels. 'Napkins!' He took enough to match the number of place settings, folded them neatly, and set them next to each plate, his relaxed state allowing his growing need for neatness to show through. He purred softly, looking at Elbi for approval. "Should we set another plate for him?" He asked, pointing at Evi's companion.

"Really?" Arian smiled softly. Still he couldn't help but to be worried. The last thing he wanted after all was to be trouble for Evi. Yet, he really couldn't bring himself to leave after coming all the way here. "When isn't Eli stressed?" He chuckled softly before adding in a small frown, "I just hope Mika's not the only one glad to see me."

Dora and Kenji? Arian's gaze narrowed slightly before he forced a small nod. "I hope so." He did trust Izadora to take care of herself after all. But if he heard one more scream, Arian knew he would be running towards it.

Carefully stepping around Evi, Arian paused uncertainly before looking around. Now that he was inside and closer to the kitchen the male cervitaur couldn't help but to pick up Jocoa's question."A plate would be nice." He commented absently as he peeked into the kitchen before looking back to Evi, "If that's okay?"

Elitalov laughed, shaking his head. "I'm sure that between you and Evi, we'd have half of all the islands invited. But do we have to discuss such things right now? There'a a more pressing appointment right now, so come on. Izzy's gonna need these rabbits to cook," he said, the last few words turning into a grumble as he kept thinking about the boys being there, especially as he headed toward the front door. Again he mentally reminded himself to be nice. Otherwise, Mikaila would have his head, and if she didn't then Evi would.

Elbaima giggled at Jocoa's table setting skills - his neatness was adorable. Since Arian answered the cattaur question, Elbi kept quiet and got an extra plate and cup, handing them to Jo since he was already doing a great job. Glancing at her aunt again the cervi girl noticed the look in her eyes, confirming what she had already guessed: Arian and Evi were a couple. Or, at the very least, they were on their way to being one. She smiled at the thought that her aunt had finally fallen in love and could be happy and not lonely anymore, forgetting about her father for the moment.

Evisule nodded happily in answer to Arian. "Oh yes, of course it's okay, and thank you Jocoa. You're doing a great job - you too, Elbi." She looked up at Arian with a small smile. "Well, I'm sure that though they may not remember you completely since they only saw you once when they were little, the girls will be happy to see you too," she said, adding in her mind, since you'll probably take the pressure off their boyfriends, once Eli sees you with me. With a quick glance at the teens, Evi risked a quick kiss on Arian's cheek. "And I'm glad to see you, too," she murmured, blushing.

Of course, Eli had to ruin the moment, having opened the door just in time to see his little sister kissing Mikaila's friend. Like Evi, his face began to turn red, but from much more violent thoughts. "And what's going on here?" he asked in a cold, low voice.

Evi jumped, startled. "O-oh, Eli! We were just, um... Arian's come over for dinner!" she answered, her voice shaking ever so slightly.

Eli turned his death-glare to the other male cervi. "So you two were going to tell me about this when?" he asked in the same tone. It was obvious that he was not talking about Arian being over for dinner.

"Come now, Eli, I'm a grown girl, I don't have to tell you everything that happens in my life," Evi replied indignantly, though a bit more docile than she usually used to be when chastising her brother. "Besides, I was going to tell you soon anyway." She forced a bright smile. "Aren't you happy for me?"

"Happy?" His eye twitched. "You think I'm happy, finding out only today that my daughters have been gallavanting off with some guys they never told me about?!" As he went on, his voice rose, until it was a yell at the end. The skinned rabbit he held was being throttled by the hand he held it with, and flailed around as he waved his arms angrily. "You think I'm happy, now that I see my sister's been sneaking around as well?! Why doesn't anybody tell me anything around here?!"

Cowering next to Jocoa, Elbi thought at the moment it should have been quite obvious why not, but she didn't dare to say anything to her father.

Feeling more at ease, she took his arm naturally and placed her free hand above the spot where they looped. She patted him comfortingly and kept up her smile. "Don't appologize." The teenager chastised, shaking her head from side to side as they rounded the house. "It wasn't your fault, so you don't need to say your sorry. I shouldn't have expected you to eat your friends." The sentence brought her to a reoccuring nightmare she'd had as a child and she choked it down with a nervous laugh. It wasn't like Kenji was going to eat her, was it?

When she opened the front door, she immediately wished she hadn't. Jumping in surprise at her father's outburst, Izadora clutched Kenji and followed her sister's lead by keeping her mouth shut. She'd never seen her father this angry and frankly, it scarred her.

Mikaila had followed her mate pleasantly into the house with the air of quiet comfort. She hadn't needed to hear anymore from him because he was already at peace with the situation to a point where they could prentend to be civil.

It was a nice change of pace.

The mended atmosphere shattered the moment she saw Arian.

She had known about how close Evi was beginning to feel towards Arian, but she hadn't expected the male to be here as well. "Oh please, oh please, oh please no," she murmured under her breath while slowly turning to her mate, expecting the worst.

She wasn't disappointed.

"Gallavanting?" Izadora whispered, her nose curling up in disgust.

Her mother quickly placed her finger over her own mouth to shush her before turning back to the situation. Mikaila's hand shot out and grasped Eli's forearm so tight she knew her nails had to be piercing. Good. "Would you listen to yourself?!" She snapped, stomping her cloven hooves down onto the floor with extra emphasis. Mikaila's temper was just on the freying point as her voice transformed into a shrill mini-tantrum of it's own. The petite woman puffed herself up, her free hand balling itself up into a fist that she was barely keeping from slugging her mate with. "She hasn't been sneaking around! Neither have Elbaima or Izadora!" Mikaila was so frustrated she started to tear up. "They just haven't told you because they knew you'd react like this. Your so damn- ARGH, I can't even think of a word!"

She shakily reached up and wiped away her tears before taking in a deep breath. "We. Are. Having. Supper." Looking him deep in the eye, she enunciated every word so it could get through his thick skull. "When your done having your hissy fit, you will give your daughter the rabbit and sit down like the Patriarch you are."

Snorting, she let go of him and flopped down at her place at the table.

Appreciative that Izadora accepted his rather opposite outlook calmed him.
His tail curled and swayed with ease as they headed towards the household.
My her arm and hand were so soft against his only slightly muscular build.

Once they had opened the door to the chaos, his purring stopped immmedeatly, and his tiny ears folded back.
Clutching Izadora slightly tighter, more in suprise and confusion than anything, his eye's widened at this odd situation.
He wasn't quite sure what to do either, since he didn't think it be right of him to say something in the presence of someone else's home.
Let alone Izadora's own folks.

Jocoa purred softly, accepting the extra place setting and making room on the table. He grinned happily at Evi's verbal praise. Luckily, he had just set the plate in place before Eli entered, otherwise he would most certainly have dropped in to the ground at the tone that reached his ears.
Jocoa at nearly the same reaction to the word 'galavanting' that Izadora did. What was that supposed to mean?! He didn't have much chance to be iritated about it though. He was busy trying to protect Elbi from the sheer force of her father's anger. He stepped closer so that most of his body was protectivly in front of the cowering teen. He wondered in the back of his mind if Eli still held the knife... Then Mikaila started up and he held tightly to Elbi's hand.
When the mother sat down, he hardly dared to breath the heavy air, frozen silently in place in front of Elbi, dialated eyes slowly searching the room. Like Kenji, he wasn't about to say anything.

Arian's cheeks warmed happily at Evi's kiss but before he could rejoice in the moment, the brother walked in. His eyes narrowed at Eli angered by the cervitaur's rage directed at Evi. Intense orbs of sky blue looked back at Eli, but the anger was smothered by a calm. Plenty of practice had worked into controlling Arian's temper and he used it now as he secretly squeezed Evi's hand for that second. The usual retorts and teasing were hidden for now. Arian definitely didn't want to make things harder on Evi. He didn't regret visiting, but Eli's reaction made him worry.

"Hey." His voice came out low after Mikaila's outburst. His mouth though in a frown forced itself into a small (what he hoped seemed friendly) grin, "Can we talk about this after supper maybe, Eli? Let's just listen to Mikaila and eat." He looked over to the teens with a slight frown before looking back to Evi and then Eli.

Really Arian didn't know which was worse, an angry Mikaila or Eli?

Elitalov was shocked enough to freeze at Mikaila's words, and his eyes followed his mate as she sat down. But it wasn't enough, for as he glanced at the cattaur boys he felt more aggravated, and having Arian being so polite about everything ticked him off even more, since deep down he knew he was behaving terribly. And since he couldn't justify to himself starting a fight with the teen boys, his anger was focused toward his sister's boyfriend, someone his own size. He quickly turned to glare at him. "You'd like that, wouldn't you? You want me to look like the bad guy? Well I'll show you who's-" He raised his fist to punch Arian, but stopped at a slap from... his sister? Even more surprised now than when Mikaila had yelled at him, Eli touched an unbelieving hand to his reddening cheek.

Evisule hadn't wanted it to come to this, but her brother was getting out of control, and though Mikaila had almost stopped him, Evi knew she had to be the one to finish it. "You're acting just like our parents, Eli," she whispered, though in the still air the words echoed in Eli's head just as she knew they would. "No, maybe worse. Because you should have learned your lesson as a teen, yet you still can't get past your prejudices and let your daughters - and me - be happy. Maybe not prejudices, exactly, but... you just can't let go. And you always have to be the center of attention, don't you?" Evi's voice was at a normal volume now, and she wiped away tears.

"Look around, Eli, you're making everything worse than it has to be for your family, just like our parents did with you. They could never just support you in who you loved. And now you're going to turn around and do the same with your daughters? They were against your choice in Naina because she once lived on the isle of the cattaurs. Now Dora and Elbi are with cattaurs. You might be afraid of having them 'stolen away', but you're driving them away."

"And what about me? I always supported you, no matter what - always, always, always. I never asked for anything in return. And you can't even be happy for me now that I'm with Arian." She didn't even bother to wipe away the tears now. "You're worse than our parents, Eli. Quit overreacting - that's what caused you and me to leave them, and that's what will cause everyone here to leave you."

As she had known it would, every single thing she said pierced his heart, especially when she brought up their past. It made him think that much more about what Mikaila had said, which forced him to look around now and really see everyone's reactions to him, which caused him to realize how terrible he had been acting. "I'm - I'm sorry," he mumbled, the rabbit in his hand dropping to the floor as he quickly exited through the front door for some air. He galloped over to the other side of the clearing and collapsed, his legs too weak to support him at the moment, and looked back at his home from where he sat. He had been a fool, and now the night was ruined, all because of him. And Evi - his sweet little sister, Evi, who had never hurt a soul in her life - she had hit him! He knew then that he should have been alone, that he never deserved to end up with Mikaila and have two daughters who shouldn't have had to put up with a dad like him.

Knowing exactly how much she had hurt her brother, Evi cried even harder, but was still quiet about it as she hugged herself, turned away from her nieces so they wouldn't have to see. She hated thinking about the past just as much as Eli did, but it was necessary to get him to really think about his actions. Under normal circumstances she would have gone to comfort him, but at the moment, she needed comforting herself.

Elbaima had little to no idea about what her aunt referred to when she spoke to her father, but it obviously meant a lot to him since he ran outside. More than anything, she was scared - she had never seen her father so angry or so crushed, she had never seen her mom yell like that, and she had never seen her aunt hit a person and then cry so much. Though on some level she was a bit embarrassed that Jocoa and Kenji had had to see all of that, she was mostly glad that she had Jo's hand to hold at that moment, and moved slightly closer to cling to his arm. She now watched her mother, wondering what the pink cervi would do.
