The laughter that rang from her was like music to Weylyn's ears. It made him smile and beam before he moved to sit down next to her and nodded. "Alice... so the beautiful dove has a name! And Alice doesn't match her beautiful laugh and smile," he said, lightening the mood, or so he hoped. He tapped under her chin a moment and then poked her lips, wanting her to smile again.
"Most guys also touch women for one thing only. I, however, desire nothing from you, but perhaps another smile. ....If you're not annoyed with me, that is."

Alice raised her eyebrow as she looked over the male. The corner of her mouth twitched as she bit off the sarcastic comment that had bubbled to the forefront of her brain. “That is a pretty speech, but some may eventually believe such talk is insulting.”
What was a name anyway, it was something that was given, but never returned. You had no choice in the matter, and it becomes so accustomed to you that changing it would be pointless. One may change their name to Leanne from Alice, but when someone walks by and calls another Alice, the being will still respond to the name given. She closed her eyes feeling the fish nibble at her toes, and contemplated whether or not she was insane, going off in reveries. He was complementing her, why couldn’t she just shut up for once and take the complement without challenging it. It was the other that made her feel strange however, for it was the very thing she used to tell males. Was this kit merely following in her own tracks?

He noticed the shift in her attitude, but it didn't bother him any, he was here to make her feel better, now, anyway. Weylyn moved to walk around her a bit more, smiling softly as he hummed a little bit. With a small noise, the Maine Coon shifted and sat on the other side of her, dipping his own toes into the water just like she'd done. The fish scattered upon his approach, but it wasn't long before he felt the nibbles and gave a chuckle.
"Pretty speech is just that, pretty. It isn't meant to be insulting. If I've insulted you, I do apologize, my little Goddess." His voice was low as he spoke, wanting to be quiet at the same time.

The female sighed quietly, brushing her dark hair from her face and staring at her reflection in the water. She felt half alive, like she could still breathe and such forth but her heart was gone… ran off somewhere. She lifted her hand lightly and placed it over her heart, feeling the soft puttering for comfort. It would get better, and she would be as she always was, right? One day her heart would return though… and she did not look forward to that day, for it would be the day it broke.
“Goddess is a bit much… Just Alice please.” The fiery female mumbled, simply wanting to close her eyes and forget it all, stick her head in the clouds as she always had been able to do. Hide in her pride and ego, not sit around and hope that for some odd reason the guy she cared deeply for, and didn’t understand… felt the same. Damn it all… he should be the one feeling like this, not the other way around… she did this to males all the time, and yet it seemed… karma was a b***h this go around.

Weylyn's blue eyes caught the movement of her hand going to her heart, and his went out to her. Alice seemed so upset. With a small sigh, the male shook his head and continued to watch her. He liked their conversation, liked what she had to say, but she was still so sad. Of course she is... She has lost half of her heart and doesn't know how to replace it... he thought to himself, reaching out to pat her shoulder. Weylyn wanted to hug her tight against him, but that would probably earn him a punch to the face. That's why he settled for patting her shoulder.
"Alright, my angel of dark hair. Alice it is, though you'll still get pretty speech from me. It is in my nature!" He laughed at the end of that and then puffed his cheeks out. "Do not worry of him. Focus on the now. Focus on your cello playing. It is lovely! Focus on the night, what wonders it will hold, on the winters and the good feelings it brings. Focusing on the past will only hurt you worse, my new friend."

Alice gave a small smile, shrugging her shoulder lightly, half to his response half to the physical contact. “I should get back to playing… I need to think in peace… perhaps we will meet again?” The Somali female picked up her Cello, standing in the general direction of the exit.
“I know it will get better. Sadly… I also know it will take awhile before that will be true. Anyway it was pleasant meeting you.” Alice bowed her head before turning around and heading out of the vicinity.
[[sorry had to end it, to keep this going would mean Alice would be wayyyyy out of sync with time. ]]
