Khajag smiled and nodded. "No problem." He watched the stallion, and looks quite amazed. "Sure, I wouldn't mind hearing another one. It seems quite foreign to me, all this singing and all. The only thing I can relate to it is my mother's humming as a colt, but as far as that, I've never heard words to her songs." He said with a dreamy look to his face, remembering fond memories of his mother. "Wow. You're really fortunate. I never got to know my father, and I'm kind of envious that you had that bonding experience with him." The stallion blushed a bit, lowering his head at the admission.
The stallion looked in amazement. "Wow, really? That's pretty impressive. Would you mind if I asked to hear that one?" The stallion blinked and thought back. "My mother thought my eyes were blue, and so she named me 'Khajag.' She told me it was some of two-legger language, and heard it along her travels to a far away land." The stallion laughed, clearly amused by the name's meaning. "I don't think my mother had very good eyes because my eyes have a greenish hue to them."

Rockstar's eyes grew intrigued as Khaj told him about his mother and where his name was from. "Thats really interesting! You have very pretty eyes by the way." He said with a chuckle and a wink. Khajag listened to the stallion for a bit. The compliment made him blush a bit, and had him ducking his head until the blush dissipated from his cheeks. He stayed quiet to listen to the song, and quirked a brow in the process. Of course, when he thought of singing, it was more of the melodic sound, like the sing-song voice of a white mare he had ran into. Although, this was a different kind of singing. The lyrics were something he wasn't used to, nor understood their meaning. Of course, when the song hit some profane words, the stallion mildly look shocked.
"O-oh. Wow..." The teal stallion said softly, looking to the black stallion before him in shock. "That was d-different from what I'm used to.." He said, furrowing his brows together. "I wouldn't know why your parents would let you sing that either..?"

"Silly parents," Rock said bluntly biting his tongue and smiling at his new friend. "There are so many different songs in the world, so many different types of music. What are you used to?" He asked with a polite smiling. Thinking of a soft song already.
He reached over to take another apple from the ground and biting it clean in two. The sweet juice sticking around his mouth, but making him purr in glee. Rockstar simply loved apples.

Khajag laughed lightly. "I definitely agree," He said softly. "I can't say I recognize all the terms used there... like, What was it?" The stallion took a moment to recall a word that he wasn't familiar with, nor heard in his life. "... H-hoe?" He said, wondering if it was some kind of laugh. The stallion blinked and blushed. "I d-don't know. I just remember as a colt, my mother would hum me songs when I wasn't feeling well." He said softly. "There were usually no words to her songs." He said, his eyes gazing in no where particular and out of focus. "Her humming reminded me of the singing of birds at the break of dawn. Mostly because to us, we can't hear the words or meaning behind it, but underneath it all, it has some kind of message..." He trailed off, thinking out loud instead of letting the thoughts run rampant inside his head.
Hearing a clean, crisp crunch, the stallion felt himself refocus to what was around him again. He was starting to daydream, for some reason, being brought in the presence of his mother humming a song. The sound brought him back into consciousness and it took him a moment to turned his head to look at Rockstar. He smiled to see that stallion biting into yet another apple. "Hungry?" He laughed a bit.

"I am always hungry! Especially for apples!" He laughed out loud. "Hummed songs to you? That is so sweet, sounds very comforting." He said with a much gentler tone. He closed his eyes briefly and tried to remember his own mother as she sang gentle songs around the evening fire. While his father would pick up with much strong and louder ones. They were so different in sound, style and lyrics but together they made a strangely pleasing symphony.
"Well one of the songs my mother used to sing to me to fall asleep was a short song called "Little Soldier Boy". I still remember her repeating it over and over until she knew I was completely asleep." He said with a soft smile and began.
"Leaves from the vine Falling so slow Like fragile tiny shells Drifting in the foam...
Little soldier boy Come marching home Brave soldier boy comes marching home..."

Khajag could only laugh at the other stallion's appetite. "You look good for a stallion who is always hungry." He grinned widely, before hearing his next question. He nodded. "Yeah, it always helped me calm down if I got too nervous, and especially helped me fall asleep when the weather wasn't weather that you could sleep through." He said, slightly looking dazed as he reminisced his younger days when he traveled long days with his mother.
The stallion was pulled out of his musings when the stallion recalled a song that his mother used to sing to him. A light smile appeared on his lips. "It's nice."

Rock nodded, "my mother did the same. Though it was more to calm me down from going outside to play in the rain and storms rather than help me go to sleep," He laughed, nervously recalling the many eyerolls he got and shovings back into his bed.
"It was a simple, sweet song. Something was always a little sad about it though...I never knew exactly what it was." Rock's best guess was the whenever his mother sang it, she was reminded of her own late brother. Or of the fact that Rockstar would one day leave her, which he did. He sighed and smiled nostalgically, "Mothers are nice..."

Khajag simply smiled at the other stallion. "Maybe it's just a common thing for mother's to do?" He said in uncertainty, knowing there were always exceptions to generalizations. "We know that if they yelled and screamed at us to calm down would generally not work." He never really experienced his mother yelling at him, since she was always so calm and collected.
The stallion nodded his head in agreement. He could hear the hint of sadness behind the song. Again, he nodded. "They are..." He said softly, his gaze shifting from the stallion before him to the far mountains where he believed his mother still resided. He had not seen her since they separated, and he would not doubt that she still lived. He couldn't.

As his thoughts began to take him into another plane of reality, he snapped back, not wanting to drop their conversation and atmosphere. He really enjoyed Khajag's company. It was a nice change from the noise and chatter he surrounded himself with.
"Why did you leave home, if you don't mind my asking." He offered quietly and curiously. "I mean, its just that everyone ventures into their own life at one piont or another. I kind of like hearing the stories behind everyone." he laughed as he tried to give the unnecessary explanation.

Khajag was content in Rockstar's presence. They did not have similar personalities, or he was not into song as much as the stallion before him. He was at least happy with the company.
"I left my home because I have traveled the mountains all of my foalhood. I wanted a change, and to do that, I had to leave my mother. My mother understood it was time for me to move on, but I wished she would have come with me. I don't like that she is alone, and I do not like being alone myself when I travel.. She said I had to learn how to be by myself so I can grow, but I doesn't stop me from missing her and hoping that she is fairing well." He said with a nod.

Rock smiled at his new friend encouragingly as he listened to the story. "Why don't you visit her?" He asked as if it was the most obvious thing in the situation. Though his tone was more than gentle.
"im sure she misses you too. Mothers tend to do that." he laughed and his blue eyes smiled. "Just go there, make sure she is well, and come back. Im sure it would be good for both of you."

Khajag nodded his head. "I should, shouldn't I? I can't say that I haven't tried." The stallion smiled lightly. "She's quite the traveler herself. Even when I traveled back to where I grew up, I would never encounter my mother. I would always travel to the spots where I knew where we would take shelter for longer than the usual duration of time, and visited her favorite spots. I don't know if I'm just missing her by chance, or if she's just far off, traveling somewhere where I might have not thought of traveling. I figure, I'll wait to run into her by chance." He said with a certain nod.
The stallion smiled. "I would hope so. I'm hoping she had someone to keep her company, someone that loves to travel as much as she does, and someone to protect her in case she runs into trouble." He said thoughtfully, before looking back the stallion. "That's all I can hope for my mother right now." He said softly, glancing down at the grass.
