The portal opened with a whisp and a gentle breeze. From it stepped a young girl with long flowing pink hair and flawless skin. Her features were angelic, to say the least, and her curves could not be more desirable wrapped in her kimono. As the portal closed, Allara looked around to be certain that she was alone. Her hair suddenly sparkled and shifted to a bluish-violet tint. Once she was sure that the Librarian was not nearby, she set off down the isles in search of a special book.

Normally, one could not find what they were looking for in the Library of Hell, at least not without the Librarian. However, there were certain loop holes around the rules. For example, there were in fact a small collection of books that even the Librarian could not find. For these books cannot be found by those who know where they are, to find them you must be lost.

Naturally, after several hours of searching, Allara began to get the feeling that she was going in circles. Finally, she reached a part of the shelf that was different from the others. She quickly read through the titles until she found the book she was looking for. It was called “The Word of Cassiel”. Allara wasted no time picking up the book and flipping through the pages until she found what she was looking for. Then came the next part of the problem.

Books could not be taken from the Library. If one tried to steal a book, the Library would continue to expand infinitely and you would be trapped for the rest of eternity, doomed to walk its halls. The pages could not be torn out, and the print could not be reproduced neither by ink, nor spell. However, the Library rules were a bit vague on the desecration of flesh. Allara flipped out a knife and prayed to Lucifer that it would work, then she painfully began to carve the symbols from the book into her forearm. To her relief, the print remained and did not disappear.

Allara smiled in satisfaction and returned the book to the shelf, hopefully, as long as she returned the book and had no plans to steal it. The Library would simply allow her to leave. As she turned to leave her hair turned a greenish yellow color.

User ImageA wind began to blow the pages in the books around Allara, "You shouldn't reproduce any books here... What is you're purpose..?" The voice came from behind Allara. It was a ghostly figure of a woman. "What do you think would happen if Lucifer found out..?"

Allara turned about. Without blinking, she looked the girl in the eyes and smiled softly. Looking a celestial being in the eyes for an extended period is not something you do for fun. Two beings looking each other in the eyes is a powerful form of intamacy, even stronger than holding hands. It took a great deal of will power and energy for them to maintain the stare...eventually, one of them would have to blink.

Allara tilted her head and spoke strongly, "Why, I have no idea what you are talking about."

User ImageThe woman glared, though she didn't blink at all.. She seemed to be quite versed in the staring game and it showed that her willpower was from an ancient source... "You prayed to Lucifer that it would work, did you not..? Do not play games with me young one.. That would be unwise.." She paused for a moment before adding, "Tell me what are you going to do with that.." She kept her eyes on Allara, though she pointed with her hand to Allara's arm. "If you do not answer me, I can make it so it disappears as it should.."

Allara smiled, baring her teeth. "I prayed to Lucifer, for lacking of another name to pray under, for mine enemy is known only as 'I am'. Allara smiled and showed her arm freely, and the ancient writings carved there, the cuts were still fresh. "As for these. It is not within your power to intervene where flesh and blood has been willingly sacrificed. That is magic far beyond even your abilities ancient one."

"As for my objectives, I can only say that I am a servant of those who wish to reunite the still breathing Emim." Allara shuddered, the mental strain of holding the eye contact was begining to weaken her. "Beyond that, I am forbidden to speak."

"Now, I have answered your questions, and seeing as I have violate no law, or not one that is enforcable. May I leave in peace?"

User ImageThe woman smiled warmly, "Yes, you may.. Yet before you go.. I might be able to help you in more ways than one.. Might I travel with you and aid you..?" She paused for a moment before adding, "You may call me Luci.."

((OK, sorry I've been inactive, my router was broken, but here's the thing: I accept that someone can know the location of their own Thanobiography in the same manner that they can know where their own stomach is currently located, but other than that there is no way whatsoever to find a particular book without the assistance of the Librarian or someone who has been in the Library for several hundred years at the very least.))

Ra'ask stepped out from within the shelves, coming face to face with two young women. "Oh, my. Luci I recognize, but who is the new young lady? Perhaps one attempting to run off with a book, or to reconstruct the text? You know you have merely to ask and we can provide a copy." He reached into the shelving, his hand seeming to pass through the wall of books contained therein, and came back out with a think tome, labeled in flowing text on the front: Allara. He opened the book, flipping through the pages, then found what he was looking for. His benevolent eyes held a spark of fury deep within them. "You have a very interesting Thanobiography, miss. A blood-magician, apparently, when all who made true use of that magic died many aeons ago, and too you seem to be one who serves One who is Twain. I wonder if you could be persuaded to merely take the text and not carve it into your flesh before your little escapades call attention to the Library? Lucifer officially does not know that Aziraphale and myself are willing to cater to any who desire the use of the Library, but if one attempts to take part of a Text it will call attention to us." He smiled all the while, shutting the book with a snap at the end of his sentence and placing it back within the shelves. "Normally the books must not leave the walls, but if it means allowing the walls to keep standing, then by all means I am willing to allow you to take a single book with you." He did not often allow this, but this girl was trying something really... well, really bloody stupid. Blood Magic wasn't meant for the transferral of texts from the Library.

User ImageLuci couldn't help but laugh, "Dear Ra'ask, how you muse me so.." What made this interesting is that Luci sometimes would seem to act as a messenger of sorts for Lucifer.. At least that is what it seemed. "Lucifer knows well of what you two do as far as serving those that seek assistance from the library. The only reason Lucifer has yet to reprimand you is the fact that it is rather amusing. Though I do not suggest making any more copies.. Rather, lend me this book. I will not let it out of my arms. Allara may gaze apon it outside of the library so long as I hold it." Luci didn't appear to be asking, rather more telling Ra'ask. And she did seem to have a way to take books out of the library, though if she let go of them it would disappear and reappear on the shelf that it originally came from without any consequences. She seemed to be the only one who was capable of doing this.

((n.n;; welcome back!! You could say Luci was secretly guiding her.. since Luci spends most of her time in the library (for a few centuries..) .. That should be fair... Also, everyone except for Mallus and Anfang do not know Luci.. so hence this post to make your post make sense... n.n;; ))

Ra'ask shook his head. "I know that Milord Lucifer knows of my rather unorthodox activities, but so long as he pretends to not know and so long as we do nothing to call attention to it he has no reason to reprimand us. You seem to forget, milady Luci, that I have read every Thanobiography within this library, yours inclusive. I know of our ruler's secrets and plots, but I may be trusted to silence, sister of Malus." His last three words were transmitted to Luci telepathically, so that Allara couldn't hear them.

User ImageLuci laughed again, "Precious Ra'ask, Let us speak of this another time shall we..? It is not my time to make myself known just yet.." She seemed slightly annoyed by the fact that Ra'ask had all the knowledge of all the worlds..And also that of things that shouldn't be mentioned "You know well why I stated my er.. request..A little bit of an adventure.. per say.." She laughed knowing he would understand. "I will only request this one more time, lend me the book.. " The way she said it there was no please in it, though that was her way of asking and always would be..

Ra'ask stuck a suddenly very long and sharp finger into the woodwork. "I will say this one more time, Milady (Milord), and then I shall become rather frustrated. The girl is the only one with permission to remove a book from the Library. I appreciate that you may outrank me everywhere else, but within this room my word is absolute. you will not leave this Library with a book in tow." He slowly retracted his finger, and smiled at Luci. "However, if you wish to pursue a different text within the Library itself I am only too happy to assist you."

{I am under the assumption that the Library of hell was created by beings of great power and infinite wisdom. Beings that could wipe out our characters with a single thought. So I would assume that these beings would be smart enough to put measures into place that would prevent even the one of the Librarians from finding some of the more sensative material in their collection.

Also, such material would not be readily availible to be taken from the library, because in the wrong hands it could be trouble. So there would have to be sacrifice made, that could only be made by those who knew what they were doing.

So I will make one more assumption and assume that the Librarian is not entirely capable of knowing all of the secrets of the library. So I have not violated any of the rules, seeing as I followed 'a' rule, just one that is only known to a few descendants of the ancients...and by ancients I mean really....really ancient.

So no offense, but I would prefer to go with my original thoughts}

Allara gave Ra'ask a sweet smile, but only watched silently as the two spoke back and forth to one another. She could only smile at the ignorance of the whole thing. She may have been the weakest of the three of them, when it came to a straight fight. But appearently she was the only one who was informed of the more recent truths.

Finally, she had made up her mind. Allara cleared her throat and said, "good lord Ra'ask, The text I seek cannot leave this Library. Would someone attempt to remove it, even one who has permission....well..I shutter to think of the consequenses. Even the text in the book is written backwards so those who stumble upon it do not accidentally read it aloud."

"I am not, as you would call it a 'blood magician'. But in fact, I am Allara Roe, Fallen Angel, daughter of Lasciel (one of Lucifer's captains)." I am a long time servant of lord Lucifer, and I daresay, even your tongue must pay him respect." Her face returned to its calm, seductive nature once more, and her sweet smile returned.

"And for the record..." Allara raised her arm, showing the cuts. "This is not 'blood magic'. This is a greater power, the power of sacrifice, it has been around long since the days of creation. Its laws are absolute, and its power is final."

Finally, Allara turned to Luci and said, "fair servant of the Fallen Lord. You may accompany me in my travels....under the condition that you swear by your own power that you will not attempt trechery, unless I attempt it first."

Luci smiled, "I swear allegiance only to Lucifer and by extension Lucifer's allies.. This is all I can swear to, and it should suffice since you are an ally.. are you not..? I can never go against the word of Lucifer." She looked quite serious, though she also looked slightly amused. "You young one are quite wise.. Lasciel must be proud.." There was hint in her tone that said she knew Lasciel..

((Uh... OK, @Asian: That's pretty much completely wrong. the Library wasn't 'created' in the sense that it has always existed. It's one of the few locations that predates the Trinity, since the Thanobiography of the Trinity Themselves exists within the Library. And yes, Ra'ask (or for that matter any Librarian) can and in fact does know all the secrets of the Library. It's one of the prerequisites to becoming the Librarian that you read the entire Thanobiography of the previous Librarian, which contains all of their knowledge, meaning every Librarian possesses all knowledge of the Library. Also, the Library is structured in such a way that the Librarian and those he chooses to lead can find any book in the entire Library, and he can instantly recall them back to the Library at will.

So, no. Sorry, but no.))

Ra'ask's eyes narrowed. He smiled thinly. "I appreciate your hubris, Allara Roe, in presuming to tell the Librarian the workings of his own Library. Even the power of sacrifice is younger than this place, which predates even the Three in One, for the greatest of the Thanobiographies, the True Text, tells of the birth of the Triune." His eyes glinted, and his voice hardened considerably. Ra'ask was getting mildly perturbed, which was by way of being a calendar event. "Lucifer holds no sway in this place, and your status with him avails you no favors from me. You may take the text if you so wish, and I shall recall it if and when I choose, but should you attempt to carve into your living flesh the words of one of the Library's books your punishment will be severe, immediate, and permanent."

((Umm, I know that Im not involved here, but I kinda think that Asianwarrior has a point....You're pretty much declaring that you hold infinite power and knowlege within the boundaries of this building and maybe its property. That is understandable, I guess, but it is also quite conceeded

Dont you think its possible that the original creators would have tried to prevent people from finding their most dangerous secrets, including the librarian, in case the librarian would attempt to abuse the Library's knowlege to his own means.

Dont try to say that it would be impossible, because there are powers in existance that even the Library of hell cannot cover. It has infinite knowlege, but its not possible that it can hold all the secrets of the universe...only the secrets that have been discovered

She has not broken any of the rules, just amended the facts, and if you keep pushing people to follow the rules, they will only push harder to break them, and you will have a bunch of people ganging up on you....kinda like now.... and it will cause problems for the role play.

So maybe you just go with it, its probably a on time thing anyway. Its not like the rest of the characters are going to be doing the same thing.

She put up a reasonable argument, so you should try to compromise...

If it was me in her position, I wouldnt do what you say until someone forcefully removed me from the role play..))
