I believe the reference is based on the teaching of "many parts, one body" in regards to 1 Corinthians 12:14 and on.
We all make up the body of Christ, whether we be from one culture or another, or a subculture within a cultural setting, or race, credd, etc. That I think is the point being made.
Mesmeric Revelations, Why does anything outside the KJV or the NKJV make you mad? And what Biblical Theology degree did you receive and from where? I snatched up a Biblical Languages degree from LIFE Bible College.

I snatched up a Biblical Languages degree from LIFE Bible College. Mine is from Desert Rose Christian College. We are accredited through Transworld Accrediting Commission. I have a Bach in Biblical Theology and did my thesis on Ancient Civilizations and their religions and the influence they have on modern day religion. I want the most ACCURATE I can get to the old Hebraic language. Have you read the freaking Message bible? How on earth did that man get to balls to REPHRASE GODS WORDS??? And not even in a respectful way. I was raised traditional. My father and my mother are both ordained ministers. I was brought up reading KJV. Bought an NIV once.... it wasn't that bad. I'll tolerate NIV. I also have Messianic Jewish godparents so i was raised with them being able to read the old Hebrew. It's amazing how much of a closer translation you can get.

Sadly I know nothing of it. I'll look it up. Because I am in the Orthodox Church I use the Orthodox Study Bible. Funny thing is we use the NKJV NT. I enjoy the New Jerusalem Bible. I do not read nor promote Paraphrase Texts. I always try to get people to read Translated Texts. NIV, NLT and the Message are all Paraphrase Bibles. KJV, NKJV, NJB, JB, NRSV/RSV and some others are Translated Texts. I always tell people to make sure they have something translated, not paraphrased. Much of the meaning of the literal work is lost in paraphrase. Oddly I kind of like the Good News Bible.

The Jerusalem bible isn't actually that bad, Forgot about that one. As for Desert Rose... Nice school sh*tty church. Went there for 5 years. I worked in the college and my parent were associate pastors there. The pastor started using the money for his own stuff and when my parents called him on it we got kicked out. I was best friends with his son and I took care of their daughter. I was the youth worship leader singer and the sound girl at church. My parents basically did the Pastoral job for him. It was a bunch of BS. Haven't been back to church since then. Been like 3 yrs now... maybe longer. *sighs* Can't trust anyone anymore. I hate having my degree from there now, don't like being associated with them. BTW... you seem like one cool dude.
