She let out a shrill laugh but glared at the boy. "I wouldn't say I was stalking you." she looked around the kitchen, and her eyes landed on the fridge. "I had been watching the mansion for hours before you came along. I knew there to be only one other inside the mansion, and I thought I would wait until another came along to take the attention off of myself." she glared at the boy. "So when you appeared, you gave me the perfect opportunity. But don't mistake my appearance as you being stalked, I was prepared to wait for days." she hissed and glanced back Derek.

Ah...that story makes much more sense...though... "Just what made you decide to make this place your target?" Derek asked. Being prepared to wait for days over a single house seemed pretty suspicious to him. He had come across it by pure chance. Was there something specific that she wanted? Not liking the looks she gave him, his were just as shrewd.
((I don't think shrewd is the word I'm looking for, but I don't want to sit here for hours trying to think of what the right one is.))

"I wouldn't call this place my target." she said quietly, her eyes back to looking at the fridge. "And I've been looking around this area for a vampire house for some time, or at least one where no one knows me." she smiled ruefully and shook her head, her hair floating around her shoulders. "I was wandering through the area, and the whim of relaxation hit me. I decided I would take a rest from my travels for a while. It only took a day for me to find this place." she motioned at the mansion walls. "I guess I will be off whenever I feel restless again." she pondered, wondering how long her vacation would last this time.

Derek didn't like this vampire. Something about her just didn't seem right. He was going to make it pretty obvious. He was going to start by making obnoxious smart alec remarks since he noticed her looking at the fridge. "Yep, it's a fridge. Very nice looking to, huh? You going to wait several hours for me to open it?" He smirks and sits at the table as he waits for Faith to find some blood, or at least to get him some.

She looked at him oddly, as if he had some mental problem. "That much is apparent. But my apologies if I haven't been in a development in the past seventy five years that has had a refrigerator and that I haven't seen a modern one yet." she said, looking at him after taking her eyes off the fridge. "But I assume they work nicely, keep food fresh more more than a few days?" she asked, her interest about the fridge greater than her disgust at the boy.

Hasn't been in a development for the past seventy-five years? Now I really don't trust her. We may be vampires, but that doesn't mean we can't be modern. Derek gets up and walks to the fridge. He opens the door and gestures to its contents. "Yes, that's how it works. Some do more. If you are so curious about it, come check it out."

She sniffed, looking rather put out about the whole thing. "I'm not a fan of old food. I'd much rather grow and pick fresh anything and everything I eat. Plus, why would you put blood in there, just take the source with you." she mused to herself, a smile on her face as she thought about her many adventures dragging a human along in her wake. "Well...you could put opened wine in there...that would be a good thing. Then my laced stuff would..." she trailed off, a look of pure happiness on her face. "I might wind up liking this horrid thing."

"Uh..." Feeling awkward and really not liking how this woman was acting, Derek had shut the fridge and quickly walked back to his seat at the table. This chick is crazy! He shook his head and pulled up the hood of his hoodie. He placed his head on the table and started waiting for Faith.

She smiled, her fangs flashing as she walked over to the window in the kitchen. She stood there, her hands clasped behind her back as she watched the wind blowing through the trees. "So why were you wandering through the forest?" she asked softly, not looking back to see if the boy had moved.

Derek looked up and saw the woman at a window. This chick is crazy...might as well stay on her good side... "Why? I just thought I would check it out. I had nowhere to stay and was looking for a home. I decided to go through the woods since, being fall, the leaves were changing and it is pretty. Something about the orangey colors and leaves everywhere is just appealing to me."

Lance was sitting by the lake, watching the small waves the wind would make. This palce was the picture of serenity. It was so peaceful and calm. He wondered why this place seemed so deserted. This was the kind of pace people would love to go to.

She laughed with pleasure and nodded, watching the leaves fall off their trees from the window she was looking out. "Now you are speaking my language. Too many green trees are boring. It is always nice to see a mix of oranges, reds and yellows. Even a few brown leaves aren't bad. The swirling colors are gorgeous." she smiled, keeping her fangs hidden out of habit, but no one would notice, since she was still facing the window. "It seems there is another guest." she said after a moment of silence, not sounding interested in the least, but as if she was pointing out that there was a bug on her sleeve.
