Shade felt his cheeks heat up as he felt a kiss on his lips and felt himself returning the gesture to Verdant, the blush only growing worse as he felt the hand on his stomach. The thought of what his mother would do if she ever found out that he'd gotten a piercing was enough to make him swallow a bit - Luna was normally a nice woman. More than nice, actually. However, she'd always been rather overprotective of Shade, maybe because of what had happened with his father before. Either way, the boy definitely did not enjoy making her angry.
"You...have no idea..." He could only imagine how much worse it would be if she ever found out that he was dating Verdant. She'd flip for sure!
Which was exactly why he didn't plan on telling her for another two years. At least she couldn't get /TOO/ mad once he was of legal age, right? He could only hope so. He quickly shoved those thoughts out of his mind though - his mother wasn't here right now, and everything was fine. Now was the time to enjoy that he was with the nymph, not worry over his mother's reactions. "So, have you...gone and played anywhere recently...?"

Verdant kissed Shade quickly again and thought about what venues he';d played at in the past week. "Hmmmmm... well, I played at Apollo's Hyacinth a few days ago, and just yesterday I opened up for Shadow Queen- and before you ask, yes, they are an emo band. They're not so bad, though. We all had a lot of fun there at The Den of the Beast. I don't get to wear my Lion outfit often." He grinned and winked at Shade. "I should put it on for you someday."
He got up and stretched his legs before kneeling again. "So, any new video games? I've been thinking I should get Orpheus a Ninkendo PS or whatever."

Shade nodded a bit, still trying to get his brain working again after the kiss, and made a mental note to maybe go see one of Verdant's performances sometime soon. He liked going to watch them, though he normally had to be careful, since he didn't exactly want his mother to find out that he was dating the guy that was onstage.
He flushed as Verdant mentioned the lion outfit - he'd never seen it, but he imagined that it was rather...interesting. He managed to get his face back to its regular color as the nymph mentioned video games, however. The teenager shook his head a little and said, 'I'm still working on Disgaea 3." He blinked as Verdant mentioned getting Orpheus what Shade assumed was actually a DS. "Oh, that's cool!" The impling tried not to let his video game geekness show too much, but it always seemed to make itself known in one way or another. "Maybe...I could help you pick out a game for him later...?"

Verdant smiled as he remembered Shade having said something about Disgaea when they'd first met. He mentally gave himself a thumbs-up for remembering that. "Is it a difficult game or something?"
"You could help him pick one out, he'd love to go shopping. I'm afraid I'm not too good with the whole video game thing." Though he certainly admired Shade's enthusiasm for video games (he compared it to his enthusiasm with music), he just wouldn't know what to get his little brother. As far as he was concerned, an X-Box was a gamer's way of referring to a woman's genitalia.

Shade shook his head with a small smile, saying, "No, just long." The only game that had ever really given him trouble was Final Fantasy 7 and even then it had only taken him about a month to get through.
The impling boy nodded - he'd be happy to help Orpheus with that. He wondered if the essentic had ever played video games before - he doubted it, but he could've been wrong for all he knew. If he hadn't, perhaps it would be best to look for something easy, like Pokemon or Tetris. It would probably be better to think about that sort of thing later though. "Sounds like fun." Shade wasn't really fond of shopping unless it was for video games, so something like that would be right up his alley, really.

"Oh, is it? See, I'm clueless about video games, love. I have to warn you though, you might get more than what you bargained for; Orpheus has the tendency to use me like a paper doll and dress me up. He's certain to do that to you." Verdant grinned at the very thought; poor Shade would wind up going home looking like Nikki Sixx or one of the guys from KISS.
The door behind them opened and Adam walked in holding the same myriad navel rings he had presented to Faolan. "Alrighty, Shade, time to go wild with your piercing!" He placed the rings in front of Shade so that he could pick and choose whichever one he so desired.

Clothes shopping - now /THAT/ was definitely something that Shade didn't enjoy. Luna normally had to drag her son out by his ear - or sometimes with the computer in tow - to get him to go shopping for something other than hoodies and jeans. To say that the boy's fashion sense was /BAD/ was putting it lightly. It sounded as though Orpheus would have none of that though - ah well, he supposed that he'd live if he got to go video game shopping first.
The boy didn't get a chance to respond to Verdant's statement however as Adam came into the room with the rings. "Thanks." The boy looked over the piercings, unsure of which one to pick for a few moments. His eyes finally landed on a ring that had a spade charm on it - it kind of looked like the end of his prehensile tail, actually. "Would I...be able to have that one, please...?"

"Good choice, Shade, really good choice. This particular model is pretty popular, though most get it as a nose ring instead. Anyways, let's get this over with, hm? There are a couple o' girls outside wanting to get their pu..." - a scathing glare from Verdant paused him for a moment - "... piercings where the sun don't shine and I am not gonna miss out on that." Despite his excitement, Adam slowly set up his piercing needle and picked up the ring Shade had chosen. He moved the needle down to Shade's navel and looked straight into his eyes. "Ready?"

Shade took in a breath as Adam got the piercing needle ready - he didn't doubt that this was /PROBABLY/ going to hurt. His attention was pulled from where the piercing was going to take place however as Adam asked him if he was ready. The boy felt his tail flicking back and forth anxiously as he nodded, swallowing a little. "Y-Yeah..." As ready as he was ever going to be anyway.

Verdant held tightly onto Shade's hand; mustn't let him forget that he was here to help out with the pain.
Adam counted slowly: one, two, three, then gently, but quickly forced the piercing needle through the navel tissue. He hoped the clamp had somewhat numbed the tissue so that it wouldn't hurt Shade too much; some people had huge pain tolerances and others just... didn't.
Without bothering to ask if Shade was alright, Adam placed the navel ring onto the needle and guided it through his new piercing. Carefully, he removed the needle and smiled up at the impling. "All done!"

Shade jumped and let out a squeak of pain as he felt the needle go through the skin of his stomach, despite the fact that he'd been expecting it. He squeezed Verdant's hand for a moment before his grip loosened again as the initial shock wore off - it hadn't been the most comfortable feeling he'd ever had, but it hadn't been too bad. Well, at least not as bad as he'd thought that it would be. Soon, the ring was in place and he could feel the new piercing throbbing a little.
"T-Thank you..." He gave Adam a relieved smile before looking up at Verdant after a moment - the thanks was as much for him as it was for the incubus. Now he'd just have to worry about hiding the piercing from his mother. At least that would be easier, hopefully; it wasn't like he changed in front of her on a regular basis, after all.
