His head tilted to the side as Fox began to laugh. There was that odd sense of humor again. He saw nothing funny about his answer. It had been a serious one. When she finally regained control of herself he listened and considered her question.

When he had returned home he had been pulled away from his father on a few occasions but they never spoke. These silence filled moments generally came when Amatsila had insisted on talking to his sisters. About what Lamb never knew. "Nothing." He answered sounding completely casual. He had no idea what Fox wanted him to know so to him there wasn't a single thing to be concerned about...

At least for the moment.

Great, that was just great. If she ever met his parents, there might have to be a quiet word about the opportune time to let your son know what could be expected of him when he was an adult.

'Do you know how foals are made at least?' Fox asked, hoping that he might at most know the mechanics of that. If not, well that meant an even longer 'talk'. And she wasn't even his mother!

He thought for a moment on this. He had noticed a few things about the creation foals, or any form of child. "Takes male and female...female gets fat...gives birth to foals..." He fell silent after this trying to decide if that was all he knew or not. After a minute of further consideration he nodded his head to signal that he had said all that he knew.

Why Fox wanted to know he wasn't entirely sure. Was she saying that she wanted a child? If that was it then he could see no reason why she didn't simply go and get fat with one. Given the frequency that he encountered foals and females in that state he imagined it was a fairly simple thing to achieve.

'Well, that's the version you get told when you're a foal and ask where babies comes from.' Fox replied, trying to be patient. It was a good thing she cared so much for him, otherwise she might have been rather more blunt.

'Just so you know, I am not ready to have children. I don't think,' she added, just to be confusing.

'This is the adult version.' she smirked faintly, and then proceeded to explain exactly what the act was that may one day bring about children between them if their relationship carried on in the right direction, and they stuck with each other.

To say that Lamb was confused would have been an understatement. If she wasn't ready to have children then why was she bringing them up? He received his answer quickly enough.

As she explained about the mechanics of baby making he did what he always did when he was absorbing information. He went as still as a statue and focused his entire attention on what she was telling him. Shock, embarrassment and nervousness were not things that he was feeling at the moment. Rather he was filled with a sense of satisfaction. The empty spaces that led to a child's existence had been filled and he now understood why it wasn't something that she could accomplish on her own.

"With me?" He asked finally after letting the information soak in. That was one thing that he couldn't understand.

Fox raised her brows, stepping back a little to see how he would take in this full and exact explanation - what his parents should have done when he was back home with them. Of course she wouldn't voice anymore of her disapproval over their non actions as it would probably wind up hurting or annoying him.

'Yes. Is that so surprising? It's not just for procreation.' she smiled.

'It's about expressing a bond in a physical way. Of course, it won't happen before either of us are ready, but it's something you needed to know about.' she looked at him.

'You are after all an adult.'

He tilted his head to one side at the new information. It wasn't?

After a moment he turned it the other way. It was?

What a strange thing it was. It seemed that nothing really made sense about relationships. Everything about them seemed so very complicated. It was probably a good thing that he was learning all this as an adult. He didn't imagine that his young mind would have been able to comprehend anything that was going on. He wasn't even sure that he understood it now.

After several moments of processing everything in his mind he decided it was probably time to let Fox in on what he was thinking. She didn't seem to appreciate his silence as much as she once had. "It's...A lot..."

'Maybe it is, I really don't think I should have been the one to tell you all that.'
Fox rolled her shoulders in a shrugging motion.

'All you need to know is that it only happens when you're ready for it.' Fox chuckled to herself. She had to wonder what he thought of her now, after she'd alluded to it, and then explained the act.

'It's something that will happen because we both want it,' she said, though the idea of her forcing herself on him was laughable, mostly because she cared for him, but also because he was much bigger than her.

He considered pointing out that she could have simply sent him home to get the information from his parents. However, he could see why she chose not to. This way was faster and more efficient. Besides, to him, it was nothing more than more information. It didn't matter to him in the slightest that Fox had been the one to tell him.

The fact that some time down the road they would both be engaged in this act changed nothing. Feeling awkward about the situation would never be something that Lamb felt. He simply wasn't wired that way. Facts were facts to him, the source meant nothing.

"Sometime later...it just happens..." He mimicked her earlier shrugging motion and twitched his tail. For him the subject was settled, that still left one problem though. "What now?" If that was meant for the future then what was meant for the present?

If he had done so, she would have countered that she didn't want to, making him leave wasn't something she intended to do ever if it was to be helped.

'If we both want it to,' she said, repeating her words with a nod and a faint smile. It was enjoyable, that much she remembered from the one time she'd partaken of such an act, but that had been a long time ago, and she'd been the younger one then.

'Now? Now I eat.' she said, chuckling.
'Breakfast was half on my mind when I came out, but you're very distracting.' she nudged him gently.

He blinked at her in a rather puppy like fashion as she nudged him. He was distracting her from taking in necessary sustenance? That wasn't a good thing. She needed to eat, everything did in some way.

Deciding that it would be better to remove himself for the moment he gave her a little smile before turning to head back into the cave. If he was a distraction then it was best to give her a little time free of him. He wouldn't be far away, of course, so she wouldn't have to worry about him. In his mind it was the perfect solution to the problem.

Besides, he still had a little that he needed to think on more.

Fox moved off stiffly, her still healing limbs taking time to warm up after standing in one spot and talking for a time. She got water from the river, quenching her morning thirst and removing the odd taste she'd had in her mouth from sleeping.

Then she'd grazed, tugging up blades of grass as she meandered along, deep in her own thoughts after what she'd had to tell Lamb. Why had his parents not taken on the task themselves? It was a large lesson to leave out; even if he had travelled with her for a while, he had returned home, and grown there so that was the time..really she was just faintly embarrassed at having to lay out exactly what might be expected of him. From her.

Full of grass and thoughts, she made her way back to the cave, casting a look around for Lamb.

As Fox busied herself with a morning routine Lamb entered the the cave. He selected a nice shadowed wall to stand beside and began to think. The entire situation was all very strange, new and rather disorienting. It was a strange new sensation for him to be confused in this manner but he was which in itself was an oddity.

He frowned deeply then went completely still closing his eyes to turn his focus inward. In silence he began to sort out everything to make sense of the necessity of his emotions in the situation and the situation itself. They were necessary in 'love' and love making but what he was trying to figure out was how much of them needed to be let loose at any given point in time to achieve the appropriate effect. Based on the information he had so far it seemed that he needed to give them free reign and not think about them at all. A troubling situation for the one so caught up in logic and thought.

His ear twitched as the sound of approaching steps reached him. His vibrant eyes opened catching the light coming from the entrance so they almost appeared to glow in the dark. "Fox." His lips twitched upward as he stepped slowly out of the shadows. "Better?"

There he was. Before he'd moved it was if he had become a part of the cave wall, and she smiled faintly. She wondered what he was thinking, and how much she'd made him think from what they'd discussed.

'Much.'
She replied, quirking a brow upwards as she regarded him.
'Deep in thought? Maybe I shouldn't told you all I did. I suppose you could have found out on your own eventually..but I'm older than you and I don't have forever to wait.' she smirked faintly, wondering how long she could carry this conversation on before needing to lie down.

Fox very much disliked how little energy she had these days; recuperating shouldn't have to take this long.

He considered her question for a moment before slowly nodding his head. He had, in fact, been quite wrapped up in his thoughts. As she continued to speak his eyebrow slowly crept upward. He couldn't understand why he wouldn't have wanted to be told. Information was very valuable to him after all.

"Fox..." He smiled at her a little bit. "It's good." He was actually happy that she had told him but it seemed to be causing problems for her. He didn't know why. "It's...good to know." He still wasn't entirely sure how emotions worked so his words felt odd despite the fact that he had grown quite accustomed to saying such things in the past. The felt like they were carrying a different feeling now but what feeling was that and why? Would he understand it better one day? He certainly hoped so.
