The blonde just stood and smirked as she listened to the red heads explosion. It was a simple question, why need to get so offensive? Akemi giggled a bit, her twisted little grin on her face as she stayed quiet as the old man presented the two older Raiken's with their staffs. So they were talented enough to earn themselves the 'prized' Raiken staff. So they must be strong... the girl thought to herself. She continued to watch scilently as the old man poofed away, the red head walked away from the mansion and the older Raiken's walked into the mansion. No one had said a word to her, and she glared at the back of those leaving. The little lightening show cought her attention, and she couldn't help but smirk slightly as she followed the other Raikens into the mansion she would now call her home. She made her way up to the second landing and searched the rooms till she found something finally familar to her, the possessions that she had brought with her. The tinyest hint of a smile flashed quickly across her face, and soon faded away. She was tired, and she wanted to rest and forget this day. Sleep was the only option for the girl and she gladly took it, not even bothering to get herself ready for bed or anything, rather just passing into sleep as soon as her eyelids closed.

[Enter from Uchiha Estate]

Uchiha Sukotto and his bunshin made their way up to the doorway of the large Raiken Mansion. He hadn't really ventured out towards this building in the time that he had been in Shimagakure and didn't realize how massive the complex was until he was standing right beside it. It was truly wondrous what a building could do to pronounce a group of people, giving them reputation with its high walls and beautiful Raiken emblem that was proudly displayed near the top of the structure. After he had soaked in the sight of the mansion, Sukotto made his hand into a fist and knocked firmly on the black gate that had sealed the Raikens away from Shimagakure for the night. As he withdrew his hand back to his side, a gentle breeze ran itself through his hair, as if it was curiously investigating who or what was making the ruckus in front of the large building. The chuunin smiled as he thought about the various personalities that nature took on in certain situations. It was as if every natural force had a mind of its very own.

When he had managed to sate his imagination's appetite for the time being, the shinobi began to mentally prepare what he had come to the large clan residence for. His business was with Raiken Serena, and he hoped that he wouldn't have to go through much of a hassle to speak with the genin, as he had some other business that needed to be attended to as well. As he waited for a response from someone within the high walls of the mansion, Sukotto looked at the clone standing near him, trying to make out any flaws that he hadn't fixed yet. This training was going much more smoothly than any other kind that he had put himself through before; it caused him to wonder if genjutsu truly was his calling.

Tossing his Kunai up and down once again, Shin walked through the village towards the cliffs. The Raiken mansion was huge and towered over most of the trees in the village, so it was an easy place to spot. The Nara dressed in his usual tan clothing walked up the trail casually while he stared up at the clouds. He was thinking of what to get Kane for his welcoming home present. As Shin approached the building, he spotted someone else there... several of someone else. "Ohaiyo," Shin said, raising a hand with a squinty eyed grin. He kept his face turned towards Sukotto and his bunshins, but didn't look at anyone in particular. Shin wasn't the greatest and telling bunshins apart from the real person, so he kept his silly crooked grin plastered on his face. The Nara hadn't really had any interaction with Uchiha Sukotto before, but he knew who he was! Who wouldn't know a relative of the first Kage of Shimagakure?

Shin's thought process stopped. Hadn't Sukotto gone to the chunin exams along with Kane? "Ah!" Shin gasped as he thought that he had missed his new sensei's arrival. "Did Kane already make it to shore!?" the dusty haired teen asked in a panic. He had gotten up real early to pick out a gift too! It would just be his luck if the squad missed Kane stepping foot back on Shimagaure as a chunin.

Before he had much time to wait for the entrance to the Raiken mansion to be opened, Sukotto heard someone call out a greeting to him. He shifted his eyes from the building towards the source of the voice and spotted one of the young Nara shinobi. When he had a chance to look him over, the chuunin immediately recognized the boy as Shin. The Nara had been one of the top candidates in the blueprint for Sukotto's squad that he would lead to the Bird Country, but apparently the genin had already been swallowed up by another squad leader. "Hello there yourself. Kane has made it to shore, but I'm not sure where he has went off to, as we all went our separate ways." After answering Shin's question, Sukotto allowed his single bunshin to disappear and then replaced it with a fresh one. He had noticed that Shin seemed to be talking in his general direction instead of directly to him, hinting that he was unsure of which of the two Sukotto's were real. Since he reactivated the bunshin technique, it would be clear to the Nara which was real and which was fake. "I'm not one to claim that I know a whole lot about weapons, but in my studies, I've read that it is helpful to hold knives and kunai in a defensive position, so that the blade is slightly elevated over your wrist. That way, if anyone were to try to grab at your wrist in some sort of grapple attempt, their hands would meet your blade before having a chance to take hold of your arm."

+3 to Shin's next roll.

Clone Technique [Bunshin no Jutsu]
This technique creates intangible clones of the user. The clones are simply illusions and will dissipate when they come into contact with something. The illusions can usually be seen through by the Byakugan and the Sharingan. A person with normal eyes can also distinguish the clones from the original, since the clones will not disrupt the area around themselves with their movement (won't kick up dust, crush grass, etc.). You use this technique to confuse your opponent in order to attack them more easily.
Cp Cost: 2 per bunshin
Damage: None
Requirements: Must be taught.
Seals: Ram, Snake, Tiger
Special: If Clone technique is successful you may use sneak attack onto your following attack if it coincides with the technique.
Special: If opponent fails the sense/detect check and you choose to fight alongside with your clones, opponent rolls an additional "Luck" dice with their attack. This dice does not count towards their total dice roll. For them to hit you amongst all the clones, they must roll a 11 or higher. If they succeed +Luck Roll to next sense/detect roll against technique.

"Ah," Shin replied with a sorrowful sigh as he heard that Kane might already be walking about the island. At least Hanabira would congratulate him right away if she still wasn't training with Natamo-sensei. Sukotto caught Shin's attention as the image of the chunin faded away and a new one was created. "You're pretty good at making bunshins! I couldn't tell you apart from the real one," the dusty haired boy admitted as he scratched the back of his head. The Nara grinned as Sukotto gave him a hint on how to hold his kunai. He had been fumbling and tossing it around all morning, so some good pointers were greatly appreciated. "Thanks!" Shin said as he held up the kunai just as Sukotto had told him. "Tenmoki-sensei said I'm pretty good with passive offensive skills, but I need to work on my aggressive offensive skills," the boy explained as he bent his knees to get in a good defensive position. With the blade pointing down to the ground, Shin extended his arm out in front of him, his hand cocked slightly so that the blade was protecting his wrist. "Like this right?" Shin asked Sukotto as he froze like a statue in the position he had illustrated with his mind from Sukotto's words.

The chuunin grinned and nodded in response to Shin's question. "Indeed, you've picked up on the stance quite well. Now it looks like you've been training with that weapon for years! I haven't seen you use that weapon, but if anything, you will definitely be able to intimidate your opponents." Sukotto looked at his newly formed clone and examined it up and down once again. He was thankful that he could easily tell what he could improve about the bunshin by merely looking at it. It was almost a blessing that he wasn't quite adept with genjutsu, or that he was at least better at fighting them than he was at using them, for he'd probably have to activate his Sharingan if his genjutsu had become too believable for himself to find flaws within it. While he did still have to actually work to find what he needed to improve, he was happy that the scanning part of the training didn't require any sort of intense and fatiguing chakra use. "Passive offensive skills will get you quite far in the world of shinobi. I do agree with having at least two aggressive offensive skills at your disposal, but I think it's a very good thing that you've already become adept with the passive ones. It's probably more difficult to start aggressive and become more passive when it comes to most anything, especially combat." Figuring that a bit of small talk with Shin would make his wait pass by a bit more quickly, Sukotto decided to ask about his future squad. In his research of the younger generation, Sukotto had already found out many facts, but he decided to act as though he hadn't, so that he could hear and discover things from Shin's perspective, instead of just assuming them through his own. He decided to start with a question about the recent examination in Shimagakure. "Were part of the recent genin exams, and how did you do if you were?"

"Ngh. Too..bright." Serena pulled the sheets tightly over her head. The sun was happily shining through the windows--but the genin just thought it was torturing her. She didn't feel like waking up. She wanted to go back to sleep. The start of a usual morning. It was always like this for her, for the Raiken really wasn't a big morning person. But the sun, the sun and sunlight were all about getting up in the morning and letting everyone know about it. "Alright, alright, you win..." Serena sighed and pushed herself up, eyes still shut, as if she were only half conscious at the moment. She then proceeded to follow her daily routine, though a bit different this time, for this was her first stay in the Mansion, and not the aparment dorms. Everything just seemed so grand in there. It was quite nice, in the girl's opinion.

"Hah. There~!" Serena, rather awake now, finished everything she needed to do and stepped out of her room only to find that Kiba's door was still closed. 'Well...I guess I still woke up earlier than him..' She made her way to the second floor, where the students would be, and didn't hear a sound as of yet. It seemed like she was the first to wake up, unless Chuuko had gone out or stayed up in his room. And then there was the first floor, where the Raiken pulled out a piece of bread and began working on it as she went to open the front gate so that she could go out for a quick walk. To her surprise, though, she found some visitors waiting before the great white wall as she unlocked and steadily pushed open the gate. "Oh, uh..hi there!"
PostPosted: Tue Aug 25, 2009 7:11 pm

Akemi could only grumble as the annoying sun poked inside the window, and as she sat up, she ran a hand through her long hair only to find that it was a nest of knots. The girl only grumbled under her breath as she looked around. She had passed out in the outfit from yesterday and as she looked around she was reminded of her new surrondings. She hadn't let it register where she was last night, sleep had taken her over so quickly. Once she stopped rubbing at her eyes and she could see clearly she moved around attempting to clean herself up, which was simple enough, considering she didn't care much for her appearance as is. As long as she made sure she didn't smell and her breath wasn't going to drive the animals away, she was just fine.

Once she finished cleaning up, the girl started to walk around the floor she was on, wondering who all was up and who was still asleep. It didn't matter much considering she still really didn't know anyone all that well. Once she made it down to the first floor, the girl thought she heard some voices comeing from out front, so she decided she didn't have anything better to do, so she made her way out front and just peaked her head outside. When she noticed the small group of people, she thought she recognized a few of them. The one boy was talking weapons, and he looked a tad younger then the other one, hadn't she met him at Yuki's place yesterday morning? Then Serena, the Raiken female from last night. Akemi shrugged, and decided to make her presence known to the group, "What's with all the noise..." she simply stated as she crossed her arms and looked at each person in turn.

"Yaaawn!" went Kiba as he awoke and stretched. Smacking his lips together he looked dazedly out his window at the rudely intruding sunlight. How dare it! Could it not knock and come through the door like any other decent visitor? No, that was not that great ball of fire in the sky's style. He came and went as he pleased and presently plenty of his rays covered Kiba in a blanket of light. As the dark eyed Raiken sobered up he rolled out of bed and quickly cleaned himself, dressed and prepared for his coming day and his meeting with his squad leader. As he finished this process he tucked his little wooden sword into his belt and twirled his staff about as he walked down stairs to the bottom of the Raiken Mansion. After twirling his new staff about some more he gracefully slipped it into its holder so that it was held firmly in place vertically across his back.

No sooner had he left the Mansion proper than did the aspiring swordsman notice an ever growing crowd just outside the great Raiken gate. "Eh?" started Kiba as he approached this surprising sight. "Hello everyone! What's going on. Oh! Shin! You're here! Is it time to meet up with the squad yet?" As he joined the little group his usual smile crept upon his face as he viewed each of the visitors in turn.

Old Chuuko had been up for some time and had been watching the gathering crowd from his window atop the Raiken Mansion. He rubbed his chin with his right hand as he debated whether or not he might like to stay in his room and observe or whether he should perhaps go down and liven up the party. No, he had grown mischievious in his old age, but he would restrain himself from such things... for now...

Before Shin had a chance to respond, there was a noise that sounded from the door to the mansion. Sukotto's lips curled into a grin as he heard Serena's voice follow the gate as she swung it open. He shifted his eyes from Shin to the recently opened entry way as he began to speak. "Raiken Serena." The Uchiha heard himself begin in the technical sounding tone that he had expected to leave his mouth, but caught himself and tried to make the moment a little less formal. "I've been given a mission straight from the kage himself and have been instructed to form and train a squad to assist me in completing the objective." So much for sounding informal. "I've been researching the younger generation of shinobi and have concluded that you would be a valuable asset to my squad." Sukotto figured that that sounded a little better. "This opportunity is completely optional for you, especially since I know you've only graduated yesterday. Also, it wouldn't mean that you were obligated to be part of my permanent squad unless you so desired. If you do decide to come along, then you can meet your squad mates and I at the cliffs as soon as you are able." With that said, Sukotto politely nodded a goodbye to Serena and turned to leave. "We will have to carry on our conversation some other time, Shin. I apologize for my rush, but I have a few matters that I must quickly attend to." As he began to leave the area, Sukotto allowed his most recently created bunshin to disappear and then made up another one to observe. He would wander into the village and ask around to find out where the final teammate for his squad was. Strangely enough, the final member would actually already have made it to the cliffs before Sukotto could have even spoken to him. This last request would potentially prove to be the most difficult of the three to make.

"Heh, haha, yea," Shin said with a crooked grin as he dropped position. It was hard for the Nara to picture himself as intimidating, but Sukotto was right. As the chunin went on, Shin's heart dampened slightly as he heard the suggestion of two aggressive offensive skills. The Nara was having a hard time with just one! Shin was about to answer Sukotto's question about the genin exams when the gates finally opened to reveal Serena. "Ohaiyo!" Shin greeted her brightly and then did the same for Akemi, the girl that had spoken with Yuki during the genin exams. She was a new student right? Shin couldn't quite keep all the blonds separate! As Sukotto turned to Serena and began speaking about important matters, Shin tried not to listen in, but his attention was grabbed when Sukotto said that they would have to continue their conversation some other time. "Ah, no problem," the easy going boy said as he put his hands in his pockets.

The dusty haired boy turned his attention to the person he was here to get. "Kiba!" Shin replied as he waved to the Raiken approaching the group. "Nah, we haven't met up yet, but I was thinking we could head to the village and get Kane-sensei something... Like a gift for passing the exams," Shin said, but the thought of Kane never passing the exams didn't even enter his mind. "Hanabira told me that his favorite color is sky blue, so I was thinking we could get him a dyed rope charm to go on the end of his dao, but I don't know what charm to put on the end? Got any ideas?" Shin asked Kiba, walking with the boy and expressing his ideas as he headed to the village tossing the kunai from hand to hand once again.

It seemed like everyone was up and about now. Both the new Raiken and Kiba were standing by the gate with Serena, wondering who the visitors were. She recognized Shin, but this other person was not closely met, although very familiar. She knew he was a Chunin...and could remember that he was an Uchiha..actually, if she remembered right, was closely related to Uchiha Ichi, the 1st Kage. And all she could do was look at him dumfoundedly as he spoke of a...mission. A mission from the Kage? To complete...the objective, whatever it was supposed to be. For some reason, the whole matter didn't sink into her head until the the chunin had turned and gone off already, though. "So uh...I'm supposed to decide whether or not I want to join this squad to complete this objective under the leadership of this person I really don't know very well...?" The Raiken tilted her head and thought for a minute, looking at the others that were there, as if she were trying to ask for their opinion as well. A second later, she blinked and smiled. A decision had been made. "Alright~! Looks like I'm going to the cliffs to meet my squadmates for this task, whatever it is." Only for a split second had Serena even thought about not accepting. Since her talk with Senritsu the night before, she knew this was the person the girl had been talking about, without even seeing much. He just had such an air of leadership and, well, she couldn't find the word for it now but she felt like he was someone she could put her trust in. The Raiken ran inside again and slipped in and out of her room, leaving with her staff secured to her side like a sword, unlike the way Kiba had his.

"Well, I'll see you guys later. I hope I'll get to know you soon~!" The genin looked at the girl next to Kiba and then left, trying to catch up with the chunin. 'Now..what was his first name? Something that started with a K...no it was an S. Or was it a T?...' Eventually, she slowed down as she got closer to the cliffs and continued to guess out the Uchiha's first name. How could she not remember it?

Kiba listened carefully as the Uchiha tried to recruit Serena for his squad but then rushed of abruptly before even recieving an answer from Serena. The dark eyed Raiken wondered if he was the only one who thought he had heard the Uchiha chuunin say that Serena had only just graduated to genin yesterday when, if Kiba remembered correctly, she had become a genin quite some time ago. Who know? Kiba worried about himself alot these days. His memory was going far too quickly for one so young. Shaking this off he turned his attention to his squad mate and was relieved to hear that he was not running late. As he walked with his comrade towards the village proper he placed his hand on his chin and thought about what a good charm would be. "Hmm... Good idead Shin, but I'm not sure about a charm yet... Give me a minute though." He wished that he had a better grasp of what Kane might like. He really did not know the guy all that much, but that would certainly change soon enough.

Akemi just stood in silence again as she was pretty much ignored yet again. Hadn't the Tenmoki woman said this place was friendly? she thought to herself. She just watched from the edge of the gate as she listened in as the oldest looking of the group talked to the eldest Raiken about going on a mission of some sorts. "The perks of being older I guess" she mumbled to herself as she watched the group starting to disperse, some going to the cliffs, and the others going off to some other thing, meeting up with a group she assumed. She sighed and looked around, it was still really early and she didn't want to be early to the accademy.

As she leaned up against the wall, the girl began to notice how stiff she was. After the sparring match with Rolean yesterday, she wasn't suprised at how soar and stiff she had grown. She knew she needed to get herself into better shape. Maybe a small workout before heading off to class would be a good idea. Akemi pushed herself off the wall, and began wiggling different parts of her body, she was courius to know what all she should stretch out before she did anything today, but after yesterday, she might need a real good streach before she could do anything.

Akemi was still waking herself up as she moved her hands along her arms, she could feel how tense her muscles where. So she slowly pulled her right arm across her chest, gently pulling it across, and as soon as she felt the first sting of the streach, she lowered her arm a big, letting the streach fall back out. "Ow..." she mumbled, maybe she should have streched befor her spar with Rolean yesterday... Maybe she wouldn't be so soar this morning, of course, it would have helped if she hadn't just passed out when she had gotten up to her room last night...
