She had been dreaming.. He began to think about what exactly she could've been dreaming about. His curiosity just seemed to be at it's peek when he was around her. He had always been interested in what other might have to say. But she seemed to be different. He was more interested then usual. Maybe it was how she presented herself. How she seemed to mysterious and magical.. She seemed more playful and happy this time around. But still very magical and mysterious. So, what could she exactly be dreaming of?

Toki himself, was someone who didn't dream very often. Some mind find that as a lose, others a gain. He was neutral, when it came to that. He would just wake up to a new day, without remembering what subliminal messages his mind was trying to feed him. On a rare occasion where he did actually remember a dream.. It was either something completely bizarre and random. Or something about his past. When it came to day dreaming.. That was completely random when it came to him.

"Dreaming? Of what?" He waited patiently, for his curiosity to be at ease.

"Mmmm.." she muttered at the thought of her dreams. She lifted her face to the sky, each one soaring through her mind. She closed her eyes and inhaled a deep breath, smelling the air. Even in her dreams, her senses were wide awake. She could hear, smell, and taste the air around her.

Her wings twitched in response, for one fleeting moment.

"I dreamt. Of flying." she spoke with such a dreamy air to her voice, full of expression and love for the topic. Her dreams made her feel so alive. "And I dreamt of You." she added, turning a sharp focused gaze at him, looking empowered and enticed. The two seemed to go hand in hand in her dreams. Flying. And the mysterious plum feathered - red stallion.

A small sigh escaped her lips, her head turning to the side. A wisp of bangs falling over her face, half hiding the emotion of desire in her face. Yes she wanted to fly, but she wasn't discontent for not flying. It never occurred to her to even try. She figured she still wasn't meant to...almost convinced of this anyway.

She had been dreaming of flying? That response slightly surprised him. For someone who didn't know how to fly, and didn't mind if she never flew at all.. Of all things, she would be dreaming of. Flying? But, I suppose that was to be expected. I'm sure everyone Soq with wings wouldn't mind learning how to fly, if they couldn't. I'm sure it would've crossed their mind at least at one point in time. It was all understandable. Or was it that he had left much more of an impression on her, then he thought? And with her second statement.. One might wonder.

"And I dreamt of You."

Words that might've made Toki blush, if he were that type of Soq. It wasn't very easy to make him blush. And even if someone were to accomplish such a task.. It might be a bit hard to catch, with those shades over his eyes.. And his crimson coat. But it would surely happen eventually. He didn't know why she would be dreaming of him.. But it made his curiosity level peek again. It was nice to know that she had been dreaming of him, just as it was nice to know she had been thinking of him. Like he was thinking of her. Odd how someone usually quite smart, could be so oblivious to what was in front of them..

He let out a short soft laugh. "Dreaming of me?" He didn't ask why, he just made it a question.

The skies colors were basically kissing the horizon now. In only minutes, it would be complete darkness. Stars would make their appearance.. And the moon would reveal itself as the bright guardian of the night sky. Toki would shine much more brighter in the night. Toki always seemed much more majestic in the night. More himself you could say.

The minds eye, and the dreams it holds, are uncontrollable by most. Elune didn't pick her dreams. They came to her each night. As if from a hidden realm. With the first dream, more followed, and then she began to expect them. Unknowingly giving her mind reason to dream the things it dreamt. Dreams are powerful, persuasive even. Even if Elune had easily accepted the fact that she couldn't fly, her dreams made it difficult to not reconsider.

"Yes. You were the one to take flight. By my request." she spoke as she lifted her head to the sky. Watching the night fall with her crystal eyes. Her mind danced around images from her dreams, projected onto the night sky in a most lucid way. Losing herself as she bounced around the stars and skimmed across the treetops.

A contended hum of a sigh escaped her lips, as she turned back to look at him. "Those twilight sparked feathers of yours have found their way into my dreams each night since you left." Her eyes looked to his wings, then back up to his shaded face. One might think she was infatuated with him for his flying, but Elune was far more intrigued than that. He had come into the night, been nothing but polite, and shown her what it was like to fly. First stranger she had met, first one she had seen take flight, first one to make their way into her dreams..

Still impressed by the impression he had left her.. He didn't know what to say. He had never come across someone.. Again. In such a short time, to only be welcomed with such enchanting words. No one had ever told him they had dreamt of him. All because he, basically, accepted her request of showing her his flight. Something he loved to do. It had been many days since they first meet...

He began to wonder if she dreamt the same dream every night. Or was it always different. Did they always consist of his flying, but maybe a different setting..? Or was it the same dream, over, and over, and over? Wouldn't repetitive dreams get a bit annoying? Unless you were really interested in what was going on.. I suppose. But he wasn't going to ask her.. It was really none of his business.. His curiosity just got the best of him. And it would stop there.

"Why, I'm flattered." He gave a slight bow, looking up at her with a smile.

As his eyes met her, they wondered off. The sight of the moon had appeared in darkness.. Out of nowhere. He had known the sun was setting.. But it seemed to happen much more faster then it usually did. The skies bright colors had faded into nothing. All that was left was black, with stars twinkling in the background.. Trying to be heard. Toki preferred the sky with this face on. If it wasn't obvious enough, he liked stars. What could he say? Bringing his attention back to Elune, he had nothing left to say.

He was flattered. Elune smiled out loud once again, with a small hum in her voice, responding quickly to his bow. Her face dipped down and then off to the side. The green orb in her earrings tinkling against the crescent that surrounded them with the movement. Flattery wasn't her goal, but somehow it gave her a feeling of satisfaction. A slight blush filled her cheeks. What color were her cheeks when she blushed? Was it even noticeable?

While she was busy being all fluttertated, a parched feeling took reign in her mouth. Apples were juicy, tasty, however, they had a weird way of sucking the moisture out of your mouth after eating them. What remained was a granny dry feeling in her mouth. The blush quickly faded from her cheeks as she thought how thirsty she was.

A smirk played across her lips as she walked right up to Toki without a second though, reached up to his thick red mane, and tugged on it with her mouth. Twice she tugged before letting go and walking away through the trees. A small halt was made as she paused to turn around and look at him, to see if he would follow. She wanted him to at least. Turning back towards the trees, she began to find path between them. Her stained glass wings folding softly behind her as she glided across the forest floor.

Toki didn't get flattered very often. Toki, getting flattered? Come on, he looks like a rock star! What kind of mare could flatter him in such a way? Apparently, Elune can.., he thought, shaking his head a little in amusement. He had met many mares in his lifetime. By none seemed to be able to compare to her. She was different, enchanting, and beautiful. But who was he kidding? He may look like a rock star.. But he didn't act like one anymore. No way was she into HIM!

Sudden movement caught Toki's eyes. Elune was walking towards him, unexpectedly. Looking at her curiously, he wondered what was she doing? The tugging on his mane, released a playful smirk to his face. He didn't know what she was up to, be it surely wasn't anything bad. She seemed to just want him to follow her. He had done that before, nothing bad came from it. Without hesitation, he followed her.

He kept his wings close to his body. They were heading deeper into the forest. He didn't want his wings to snag on anything. Not that it would hurt much, he just didn't want to deal with the hassle. Toki watched Elune closely as he followed. Where is she taking me? he thought, letting his mind wonder. He tried to get a whiff of where they could possibly be going to. Searching for a distinct smell.. But was only lost in the aroma of the forest dirt, and surroundings. I guess it'll be a surprise.. he shrugged it off, and continued to follow her.

There. He was following her as she wanted. She carried herself north through the moon lit forest. She was a perfect guide, walking at a set pace over root and under branch. Not like some ditsy female that might giggle and run off, then smack into a tree. Though it would be funny to watch one do just that.

As she led the two of them deeper into the forest trees, it was easily apparent she knew exactly where she was going. She always did. As they traveled, she started to hum. The tune having a very ebb like feel to it, as her pitch went up and down, high and low. Her movement almost mirroring the sound as she weaved around another tree. Her direction changed as she walked northeast, still deeper into the forest grasp. Had they continued to head north, they would of met the forests edge again.

Time trickled past with each step, and each note. Elune never was bothered by distance and the time it took to travel it. She didn't think it would be far. She just knew where she wanted to go, and let her hooves carry her there.

In the distance, the trees seemed to be lit brighter, as if they might be exiting the forest going this way too. She looked back at Toki, then dipped her head forward as she pressed on towards that part of the forest.

Almost there.

A perfect guide she was. Toki had never really been guided through the forest before, until Elune. If he met someone in the forest, there wasn't really any guiding.. Just walking around. Wondering together. Most the time he would find new things together with his company. But he knew Elune was guiding him. She did want him to follow her after all. Not only that, but she lived in the forest. Of course she would have to know where she was going. it wouldn't make sense if she didn't.

As he followed her, he heard her begin to hum. It was always so enchanting when she would do anything music related. Her songs seemed to sweep over him, as if he could feel her touch. It was a comforting feeling, but also very amusing. A smile danced upon his face as he took in her song. It was refreshing. But with paying so much attention to Elune, he almost forgot to pay attention to where he was going. Compared to her elegant strides across the forest floor.. He was a fumbling rock down a hill. It took him a moment to adjust his stride, hoping she didn't see him acting so clumsy. God.. How embarrassing., he shook his head in disappointment.

Now paying more attention to Elune's music, and his step. He also began to look around at his surroundings. He suddenly wanted to give her something.. But what? Don't all mares love getting flowers? But.. She lives here.. Would she get disappointed that I ripped flowers out of the ground just to give to her..? He thought for a moment.. That probably wouldn't be the best idea. Bringing his attention back to what was in front of him. He noticed it looked like they were leaving the forest. Maybe she would show him something outside the forest? Or maybe it just gave off that sort of illusion?

He just shrugged it off, again thinking about what to give her.

The humming stopped. A wing erected up and out to the side silently as she motioned for Toki to slow down. Might be more dramatic if her wing was as long and full as his was. Slowing herself, she began to tread towards the tree line very carefully. She never made a sound when she walked through the forest, but she did notice that Tokidoki made more noise than she was used to. She didn't think anything of it, since she wasn't accustomed to walking with others in the forest.

There, lay a rather large opening, with a flawless pond at it's near center. The forest continuing in an oval around it. The clearing was large enough to let the light fall down unhindered from the moon and star, the small pool, reflecting it's light.

Halting beside a tree, her face still hidden, she scanned the open area around her. There were fresh tracks from only a deer, most likely a buck since there was only one set of tracks. He probably heard their approach and got startled. Either way, they were mostly alone. A few frogs serenaded each other by the pools edge, with the whine of the nearby crickets in the grass.

Turning back to Toki, she gave him the most contented smile. Stepping out and into the open, she approached the water. Her hooves pressed near the pools edge very carefully, the ground soft and moist.

Flipping her hair to one side, so she could see clearly, she kept her eyes on Toki. Ever silent, all this time. Neither seeming to mind.

Toki so lost in his thoughts.. Almost walked all over Elune. Not noticing her halting motion soon enough, but not to late either. He continued to follow her, watching his step carefully. This was why Toki spent most of his time in the sky. He didn't have to watch his step.. But what was going on in front of him. As long as he payed attention to things in sight, he was fine. But down here.. Any little thing could bring you fallen. It was annoying sometimes. But I guess that's what you have to deal with when wanting the company of others.. he thought, slightly nodding to himself.

When Elune stopped, he looked before him. There was a clearing right in the middle of the forest. He had seen clearings like this in the forest, but not this big. It was like a window in the forest, letting you see the night sky every so clearly. He took in a deep breath, smelling the moisture in the air. His new surroundings were quite to his likings. He was already enjoying it. Even more so, that he was with company. With Elune.

Smiling ever so charmingly, back at Elune, he continued to follow her. They were approaching the water. He could hear the crickets and frogs singing away. Letting others know they were alone. There were others there. The ground grew softer as they grew closer to the water, becoming softest at the pools edge. He didn't enjoy the softness of the dirt very much. But he didn't show it, he was very calm about it. He wasn't very thirsty.. But it wouldn't hurt if he had something to drink. Letting his mane fall ever which way, he lowered his head closer to the water. Taking a few sips of water.. Not taking his eyes off of Elune.

Tokidoki was glowing in the nights light. The stars on his hide seemed to illuminate and call out to the stars up above. Something about him seemed enjoyable to her eyes. Pleasant if you would. He seemed to flow right into her sight and into the night all around them. Yet he did not blend, oh no. He didn't stick out as if he didn't belong either. With him in the scene, everything seemed to have a new edge. A splash of color on a picture you've seen before, makes it new, appealing, if you would.

A frail sigh escaped her lips upon noticing all this.

Smiling at him and letting her eyes close slowly, with a faint nod, she turned her attention to the ponds edge. Leaning over ever so carefully, she lowered herself to the water and joined in the cool drink. Her hair slid to the grounds edge in a silken pile, but it did not fall in. The water slipped over her tongue and cheek, and down her throat with much satisfaction. The water having a bit of a fresh, earth filtered taste. It was her absolute favorite.

After a few sips, she paused her drink, head still lowered, hovering just above the rippled water. Letting her eyes wander, she looked over to Toki. The light from the pool reflected and danced off his shades. Yet, she could see that his eyes were on her. She looked away quickly, almost bashfully, back to the water and held still.

Toki loved the glow that seemed to sing off him during the night. He hadn't seen another with a pelt that would do the same. Sure, he had met another that might fit like a puzzle piece in the night sky. But her glow wasn't quite like his. And maybe there were others that would glow all the time. But this glow. This hum of light. Only shared it's presence during darkness. While most slept, and other loomed through the trees. It was quite unique. However, who could expect anything less from Tokidoki?

Catching Elune's gaze, he could only grin at her reaction. The taste of the water was starting to hit the back of his throat, all at once. The freshness was satisfying. But it was to much at one time. He drew back from the water a moment. Letting it settle in his mouth. Doing so, he didn't feel the need quench the thirst he barely had. He lifted his head, shaking off the lone, lost dirt and water. Also giving his wings a nice stretch.

Toki's grin turned into a more pleasant smile. As he took in the refreshing breeze of the nights cool wind. He was reminded of the feeling of flying through the stars. Cold air hitting his face, wetting his mane. Much more refreshing then coolness of the water. Taken by the wind, he began to hear the beat of a song he had heard from his two legger. The more he listened, the more it was clear. Faint, but clear. The calls of the crickets would join, then the ribits of the frogs. Making it's way would be the shaking of the trees leaves. And the wind playing the grass as a violin. It was so perfect, he had to sing (They were the first thing I thought of when I heard this song the other day. Lol.). Ironically, it might've been the perfect song. Considering his company.

"Can I be dreaming once again?
I'm reaching helpless I descend.
You're leading deeper through this maze.
I'm not afraid.

I'm lost in you. Everywhere I run.
Everywhere I turn. I'm finding something new.
I'm lost in you. Something I can't fight.
I cannot escape.
I can spend my life lost in you! Lost in you!

Your whispers fill these empty halls.
I'm searching for you as you call.
I'm bracing, chasing after you.
I need you more.

I'm lost in you. Everywhere I run.
Everywhere I turn. I'm finding something new.
I'm lost in you. something I can't fight.
I cannot escape.
I can spend my life lost in you!

I could never be the same here.
Something that I never could erase.
I could never look away.
I lost myself in you!
It's all over now.
"

He paused, staring at Elune as he sang. Almost as if singing to her.. Well, practically singing to her. He let the last of his soft angelic voice echo throughout the forest a moment. Letting it hit all around them. Exploring whatever might be near. Before he let out the last of his words. The kind the would bring chills down your spine. Not because of something creepy. But because of something beautiful.

"I'm lost in you." He let out a whisper. One that would only tickle the ears it reach. Like hearing someone from up above. His smile was so genuinely bright and happy. His appearance couldn't take away how much of an angel he looked that very moment. Even with those red shades he sported so well.

Elune sat, still incredibly still, head hanging over the water. She looked on as Toki raised his head from the water. The tiny ripples left by the spot where his mouth touched the water, began to disperse. The image, a reflection of the night, became everlastingly clear. It was if her eyes were peering into a dream world.

Silence invaded. A rush of air pulled into the mares mouth, slightly stunned by the sound she was now hearing. Can I be dreaming once again? The very words that filled the air, escaping Toki Doki's mouth in a most pleasant tone, seemed to be signing to her on multiple levels. The sound of him singing melted over her with a tingling warmth. For the first time, she discovered that words could have feeling. Without a physical touch, he was touching her now. She did not fight the sensation, but rather indulged herself in the moment given.

Lost in you.. Her very essence surrounded these words, as she lost herself in the image on the water. The trapped stars of her dream, seemed to dance and change pitch, all framing the crimson prince as he sang. Her heart pounded to the rhythm. At the edge of reality, she could feel the travel of every sound, his pitch, his depth, the sincerity. One might be tempted to dance. Elune, dared not to move, lest she miss a note. Every ounce of her was listening.

Toki's serenade ended, much like the ripples on the water from moments ago. The song had stopped, but the sound of his voice still rebounded and echoed through her. Unending ripples, an unending sensation.

With the sound of his whisper, she pulled the moment together, and up off the water. With a short, barely audible, chuckle of contentment, her body shook in a wave. White dust cascaded off of her, but more so, she contained the dream. After the multitude of shivers shook off of her, she was done. There was a tinge of disappointment that the song was over. She could listen to him forever. However, the realization of the mark on this new found piece of his personality, had her spinning. Not to be confused with some love struck yearling. It was so much more. To sing all her life, and to now, listen to someone else song. A perfect epiphany: songs were meant to be heard.

"I.." A spirited laugh followed as she tried to speak. How is it she didn't know what to say? Staring for a moment more, with enticing eyes, she knew what to say.

"Thank you."

Toki never really sang to anyone but himself. Sure, he would be minding his own business singing where anyone could hear him. But they were just encountering someone whom liked to indulge themselves in a little music once in a while. Toki was definitely the kind to not let anything he had go to waste. Singing and flying, two things he did, A LOT.

But he still couldn't figure out why he sang to Elune so freely. Maybe, he was oblivious to certain things.. Maybe meaning yes, that is. You can expect someone whom as never felt any sort of romantic feelings to know whats going on. Sure, he had been with plenty a mares before. But he was young and stupid. It was all fun and games for him, breaking hearts. But he knew there was something different about Elune. Something more so enchanting then any other mare he had ever encountered. Maybe it was her strong presence, or the way she spoke. That made him want to sing. Or possibly just the magical façade she portrayed so well. It could've been anything. All he knew, was he liked to be around it, and her.

He continued to smile as she tried to find something to say. He liked how a lot of Soquili seemed to be amazed at how well he could make words just dace out of his mouth. But he appreciated it more from someone else who had such a beautiful voice to match his.

He bowed, bringing his head up to look at Elune. "The pleasure was all mine."
