We were playing a song and the song had a really long pause in it, that day my stomach was hurting, so during the pause my stomach grumbled really loud and then this huge burp came out for about 10 seconds and just kept continuing. My teacher stopped the song and looked at me. Then i fell out laughing.

I had to sneeze really bad once, and so I stopped in the middle of a song, and sneezed. And then it echoed, and everyone started laughing.

This reminds me of the time, when my band was marching onto the parade square (sea cadet mind you). We were playing Standard of St. George, and during the time where our Drumajor was doing a sunset, 3 revolutions, we the band, were making a transition from Heart of Oak to Colonel Bogey, I coughed then accidentally sneezed. Since I was the first flute, the 3rd, and 4th looked at me and nearly laughed.
Oh joy, now I regret doing that -_____-

My one friend Sam, and her friend Alyssa, got in a big fight during band, and Sam kicked Alyssa in the crotch and it made a crunching noise.
This was our Band Director's face: eek

today at band practice my director was like "get out manhattan beach!" (the sousa march)
and one of my section rookies yelled out "WHO'S A b***h?!"
it was more awkward for him than it was for me
but.. nonetheless it was awkward LOL

We were rehearsing before district festival, and I had my phone in my pocket.
I had like, triple checked to make sure it was on silent.
Halfway through "Entry March of the Boyars," I feel it start to vibrate in my pocket. I'm thinking, no big deal, it's on silent, it'll just roll over to voicemail.
The song ends, and I hear Kernkraft 400 playing. From my pocket. One of the bass clarinets turns around and looks pointedly at me.
I'm trying to hit a button through my pocket to silence it, but it wasn't an alarm, it was a timer -- which means you have to actually pull up the menu of the phone, go to the timer, and turn it off.
The day before, I had been riding in the car with a friend and she had set a 20 hour timer on my phone. If she had set it an hour later, it would have gone off while we were onstage performing.
I don't think our BD heard -- if she did, she didn't say anything -- but man, that was awkward.

Once we played Pirates of the Carribean and there's a part where the trumpets had to just blow and not make noise. It was supposed to sound like ocean air. It was just us and the drums and the first time we played it everyone looked at us. I laughed so hard afterwards.

the first chair clarinet was talking to her friend at the begining of band and yelled out "im not a f*cking lesbian, ok?" apparently her mom had thought so because she drew rainbows on her back pack.

So not really awkward, but it was funny as hell. Okay, at our Christmas concert every year, our BD and the choir/jazz director do something exciting and/or freaking hilarious. This year while the choir was performing the Dance of the Sugarplum Fairies, they came out on stage dressed as sugarplum fairies.
I kid you not. They had pink tutus, little pink-fuzzy based crowns, and pink leotards on. Then danced around the stage, and everyone in the audience was laughing, and you could tell that the choir was having a hard time keeping straight faces so that they could perform. All in all, it was hilarious.
You know... I don't think our band is capable of any awkward moments. No wait, there was the time in grade ten where one of the bari saxes groped the other's pectoral (they were my section mates at the time; we had three baris, and I was the only girl), and I reacted to it: "O_O I KNEW IT!" I went through the entire year with the belief that they were gay for each other.

1; We were writing the scales on the board, and I got called up for doing b flat major instruments in the a flat key signature. I hate being in front of people, and it was second day (I am a freshman, so I did not know many people.) I completely forgot what came after b flat. -.-
2; Me and my boyfriend were making faces at eachother in the band room, and the BD looked at us and it grew quiet.
"Are you two dating?"
"Uhm... Yes."
*Awkward Silence*
'GO MARK!"

Okay so I'm in guard.
The guard and the band are all practicing in the same room for some reason and right when the band finishes a song Danny (Our guard instructor) says to me. "I'm so excited you can do a split now, not only will it pay off in guard but all the boys will love to see those legs spread!" I get like a 'OMFGWTF!?' face and then the whole band laughs. redface
It took a while for everyone to remember that he calls the judges, the boys. And he had meant to say that it will be amazing when I do a split in the show. But god, it just came out so wrong.

I don't really have any good ones personally. My friend went to band camp one year. Well I guess she was having a bad day, and her friends were trying to console her. Well this girl (who they were familiar with but weren't really friends with) came up to my friend and asked if she was ok. As polity as she could asked her to go away. Instead of leaving apparently this girl began to quote EVER SINGLE WORD from this Rocko's Modern Life computer game that she owned. It's amazing to hear her tell the story. I REALLY wish I could have seen it. 3nodding

... This one time at band camp...
It was my freshman year. My friends Katie, Rachel, Annie, Tori, and I were walking back from the all-purpose room (where we had been working on music) to our dorms. For us, band camp is at Mont Alto on the Penn State campus, so occasionally we see random people walking around our campus. Well, that one day we spotted a lady with her dog, so we stopped and petted the cute little guy. As we were petting, Katie asked what its name was. That was when we heard the horribly low voice, noticed the flat chest, straight hips, five o'clock shadow, and adams apple. We also noticed the make up, the jewelry, the girly clothing, and the high heels. We said goodbye.
That wasn't the awkward part. Oh, noo.. The awkward part was the walk up the hill when no one uttered a word until finally Katie said, "Was it just me, or did that lady seem like man?"

Once we were coming back from spring trip from a contest for concert bands. We were coming back by bus. In the back of the bus there was a couple, next thing we knew it was night time and the bus was rocking. We didn't think anything of it till we heard things we didn't want to hear.
