I just started a new (to America) series called Et Cetera. It has a few similar elements to Trigun (a Wild West kind of thing and a priest) but a lot more humor, insanity, and magic. It's become my latest favorite.
Between myself and about six of my friends, we're collecting Ranma 1/2, one book at a time. I think I have the most out of all of us, and I only have four (5-8 ). (Sarah: 1-3, Charlotte T: 4, me: 5-8, Julia: 9, Charlotte Grubbs AND Sayward: 10, Sayward: 11. And we'll get it all, just you wait.)
I'm more of a borrower than a personal collector. If one of my friends has a volume in the same series, why should I waste money on it? I'll just read theirs. My friend Sayward is the complete opposite--even if someone else has EVERY volume released in a certain series, if she likes it enough, she'll buy it all herself. (She's a shounen-ai fan--she has all the American Gravitation, the first Eerie Queerie [and soon the second, because I missed her birthday], and 1, 3, and 5 of FAKE.)
I currently own bits and pieces of Excel Saga, Ranma 1/2, Chobits, Trigun Maximum, Cowboy Bebop, Et Cetera, No Need for Tenchi, and all of FLCL (which IS only two volumes, to answer an earlier question).
I also own every issue to date of America's monthly Shonen Jump (meaning I've got a fair amount of Naruto, Shaman King, Yu Yu Hakusho, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Dragon Ball Z, and One Piece, a bit less of Hikaru no Go, all of SandLand, and one chapter each of several other random things like Bleach and Saint Seiya).
I've read just about every graphic novel that any of my friends possess (except for Sayward's FAKE and Robin's Sailor Moon).

Maiadorn the White Trigun
Trigun Maximum
Hellsing Darkhorse. Expensive. gonk (I've got both Trigun Maximum, though....hehe.) Oh, and I now own the first two volumes of Bleach annnnd...there's got to be something else I've bought recently...huh. Guess not. Must mean it's time for me to get something pertaining to Fruits Basket (I still have to see if Sayward is going to buy #2 or not....if she is, I'll get three because Charlotte T. has the first one). Anyone know when Naruto 5 comes out? *is too lazy to check SJ website* Edit: Did I mention I paid for both of those Bleach novels entirely in change? I kid you not. Quarters, dimes, and nickles. And, like, three pennies. xd

Shadowix Maiadorn the White Trigun
Trigun Maximum
Hellsing Darkhorse. Expensive. gonk (I've got both Trigun Maximum, though....hehe.) I suffer from Dark Horse worship. They could publish a book of wallpaper patterns and I'd buy it.
I've already bought the entire series of Hellboy twice gonk Damn then and their multiple covers. whee
I just hope they don't re-release the entire Discworld series with Paul Kidby covers because then I'm well and truly ********>

I just realised, I only listed the manga I'm currently buying as opposed to all the manga I own gonk Please excuse my brains. So in no particular order:
Pokémon (This might possibly be my favourite Manga ever)
Ranma 1/2 (ah the sins of youth..... sweatdrop )
Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind
Shadow Lady
Eat-Man
Lum Ursei Yatsura
Megatokyo (Debate abounds as to whether it's a Manga, but it's in the Manga section of the Dark Horse site, so that's good enough for me.)
I bought the first book of Love Hina because someone recommended it to me but refuse to buy any more. It was alright, but I see the first book as a self-contained story, like a movie and have no interest in the rest of the series. If anyone wants to recommend it to me further, then go right ahead whee 3nodding

Maiadorn the White Megatokyo (Debate abounds as to whether it's a Manga, but it's in the Manga section of the Dark Horse site, so that's good enough for me.) Anyone who tells you its not manga is lost, whether they like it or not. Personally, I like it, but thought it was a lot better when Rodney was involved, even if the narrative was more splintered then. Personally, I think you should check out Remote. Its a pretty damn suspenseful story that, while willing to toss in romantic and comedic elements when they're called for, doesn't dare let them get in the way of the story itself. Its about a female traffic cop who at the last minute retracts her resignation only to be told that her position was already filled. Instead she gets assigned to a special department to act as the eyes, ears, and hands of a reclusive detective genius who can no longer personally act in the field (hence the title, remote). As for Love Hina, I love it muchly, but its not for everyone. If you're looking for a really good shounen romance, I find Ai Yori Aoshi to be far superior. Its playing of the main character's love for the female lead (and former betrothed) against the duty he feels to spurn his family who abused him is excellent. Also, I reccomend Bleach to anyone. Take Yu Yu Hakusho and subtract the DBZ elements that hijack it heavily at the most godawful times, and you've got Bleach. Don't get me wrong, its got a fair amount of battles, but it just doesn't seem to revolve around the constant evolution of combat power to solve the problem of dealing with evil spirits.

I like the characters and the story, and it's cute sometimes. Could live without the leet though.
I'm definately gonna check out Remote. Sounds like something I'd really enjoy.
