Klys finnally woke up, the sun hit his face as he walked into the court yard. He smelled the remnants of brekfast, and he knew that he was up late again. But today he didn't care, the deth of his mentor still heavy on his heart, he went without food for a week, this being day seven. he dreded the thought of a new mentor, but sadly today he was being assinged.
Izsa came down into the large courtyard, "come on Klys, it's time to be assinged,"
"NO! HE LOVED YOU YOU KNOW!!!"
Izsa, shocked, grabbed Klys' shirt and lifted him into the air and they flew off to the foot hills to meet the new mentor.

Luca rubbed at a bruise that was slowly growing on his eye."Vest is not going to pleased with you, he said no more fighting, and you're late too." Aodahn thought with a misceivious look in his eye. Luca glared at him, "And you think Aine is going to be happy with you?" he said sarcastically. With a sigh he hopped onto Aodahn's back, "Come on, we'd better go find Vest." The took off into the air, after a few grueling minutes they spotted there mentors and landed. Luca approached Vest unwillingly, it was true, Luca's mentor was NOT going to be happy.

Vest sighed long and slowly when he heard the smooth swish of dragon wings flying up from behind. He and Aine both knew that their pupils had finnally arrived."Don't be too hard on them Vest." Aine told him, being the more patient of the two.
"You mean like the latest rufian he picked a fight with on the streets?" he asked gruffly, already picturing the bruised face of his apprentice.
Aine laughed gently. "Indeed. I'm betting on a black eye, scraped knuckles, and a big bruise on his backside." she said challengingly.
Vest smiled along with his friend. "Those are all givens. I'll not wager against those odds." he replied before turning once again serious when he knew his apprentice was behind him. "And are you to offer some excuse to why you are late?" he demanded, not even turning around to look at Luca.

Luca sighed, looking down, "Uh..." he started, then looked at Aodahn, "Um, go for it Aodahn." Aodahn glared back at Luca, "You're the one who picked the fight." he replied. Luca shook his head, "Well...uh...um...You see, there was this guy, right?" he glanced at Aodahn who gave him an encouraging nudge. "And he was hassling me, so I tried to walk away, but he popped me a good one in the side of the face, so I gave him one in the gut, then he pushed me to the ground, and I kicked him in the shin..." Luca voice trailed off as he realized he was babbling. "That's great Luca, I'm sure he's feeling calmer all ready." Aodahn thought sarcastically. "Shut up." Luca hissed under his breath.

Izsa finnaly put Klys down and looked through the foot hills to see that no one was in sight.
"Great! I guess I wont have a mentor," Klys' voice trailed off as he heard the sound of some one talking close by, he went in to investigate. Once he got closer he heard it was Vest and his dragon Aine and luca with his dragon Aodahn, he must have gotten into mischife or pickpoceted the great bards of the hold. "LUCA! HEY! What did you do this time? Hello Master Vest and dragon mistress Aine." He bowed to the master and his dragon be fore looking at Luca for an answer.
"Mistress, hello, and hello to you aswell Aodahn, I've felt empty since Grichia died, do both of you feel the same?" Izsa looked toward the two dragons, after she bowed to the elder dragon.

Claes smiled. "Today we will not be taking the challenge I mentioned. We shall be flying north to the pairing ceremony, where the new Riders will meet their dragons, as well as mentorless pairs will meet their mentors. Now ready, for we ride in five." He jumped with a fluid leap atop Kotare, turning to face the northern skies. "Ready?"
Kotare chuckled. I doubt they will be forgetting their own choosing, eh? He chuckled again as he spread his huge black wings.

Vest and Aine both bowed respectfully to the younger pair. "Indeed. It would seem that the world already appears dimmer now that yet another of our brothers have perished." Aine replied to the young rider quitely, sadness in her voice. Vest nodded in agreement but like always maintained an impassive stare. "And what have I told you about letting yourself get "hassled" into these barbaric fights?" he demanded of his apprentice while also staring hard at Aodahn.

Klys looked over at Luca's black eye, "Wow, was it Urka? That damned Bard, even the harpers hate him, and they love everyone! Hmmm..." He thought for a moment, "OH! Master Vest! I wa suposed to meet my new mentor here and no one's shown up. Do you know who my mentor is supposed to be?"

Claes smiled. "I am sure they could catch us, and I bet the other Riders are awaiting us in the north." He looked down to Kotare. "Shall we?"
The black dragon raised his eyes to the sky. You seem to think I wish not to fly. Is it because of Grichia? The dragon spoke with a deep reverence, remembering the fallen mentor.
Claes shook his head. "Grichia was a friend to us all, but we cannot dwell on his loss. We must meet the others north. To the sky!" And they launched upward, beckoning for Iliana and Skystar to follow.
