Shale happily took a bite of his sandwich, glad to find that everything still tasted fresh and that the bread wasn't soggy. He was happy that she thought his tea smelled good, and he only hoped that it would taste better. He fidgeted a bit, thinking about what was in the box and he hoped she'd like it. There was a lot riding on the simple answer he'd receive from a question he was going to have to ask later.

Sari took a bite of the sandwich holding back her instant reaction. It tasted really good. Instant reaction didn't stay suppressed long. She whimpered an 'Mmmn' in response, blushing over it. The shetani attempted to hide her blush once more before looking at him.
"May I?" Sari asked hesitantly, picking up the glass of tea. The female smiled, looking at him sweetly. Really, she did love the other more than most things she could think of.

Shale nodded. "Oh, of course!" Joy rushed over him, happy that she liked her sandwich. Biting his lip, he felt like he would be on edge all the way through the meal. There was something so important he had to ask her, but the timing had to be just right.

She smiled, taking a drink of the tea. It was wonderful, if she hadn't been holding the glass she would've thrown her arms around that wonderful male who had asked her there that day. "It's delicious!" The shetani exclaimed, blushing.
She had no idea what he was thinking of asking, but she was happy in the moment/

Shale grinned. "I'm glad you like it!" He relaxed a little as their meal went on, but once the sandwiches were gone and the meal was coming to a close, his heart began to beat hard.
Gently, he picked up the box and set it down. "There is.... one more course to your meal, Sari." He opened the box to reveal a little cake with the words 'Will you be my girlfriend' written in icing on it.

Sari relaxed as well, she was tense for the beginning at the very least. She didn't want to offend Shale with any actions or such, but as they ate it was far easier to handle herself so she didn't say or do anything stupid.
The shetani gave him a confused look only to blush once reading the cake. Those five words.. Maybe they'd lead to something even better than just dating? But oh goodness she had wanted to hear those five words from him, maybe he was just nervous about saying it? No matter, it was more than enough. Sari blushed deeper, flinging her arms around his neck, pressing her lips to his. She couldn't make her voice come out, this would have to do for her answer until it worked again.

Shale's heart was hammering as he waited for the shetani to give her reply to him, and he was so incredibly scared that she was going to shoot him down.
Blinking, he suddenly found himself supporting Sari's weight, his arms wrapped gently around her as he felt something warm and soft against his lips. It took him a moment to realize that the soft and warm feeling was really Sari kissing him. Closing his eyes, he leaned into her kiss, returning it as he held her close.
After a few moments, he gently broke the kiss and pulled back enough to look her in the eye, a grin on his face. "Does this mean yes....?"

Sari was blushing, but smiling as well. Without hesitation she nodded, still unable to make the words come. She would have tried if she hadn't known that she was incapable of speech.
For a moment she wondered if it was wrong to be sitting like that but wait, Shale was her boyfriend, it was okay to sit in his lap right? She blushed more at the thought, but she wasn't really making an effort to move away from him. He was comfortable to snuggle to.

Shale smiles and held her close, hoping that she was comfortable in his lap. Gently, he shifted her closer and rested his head on the top of hers. "I think today has been a memorable one..... Do you still want to stay out longer, or would you rather we take this little party inside before it gets chilly?"

Sari was quite comfortable in his lap, and showed that pleasure by snuggling into him. The younger female blushed when he put his head on hers, but she enjoyed it. "It was." She murred, smiling quite happily at the moment. "Mmm.. I'm good with staying here a while longer." Sari blushed a little more, honestly not minding the chill of the night air with Shale around.
