Battery Acid Included I guess for the water and ice things there could be a different perspective. People say one person has water element and another has ice...but really I think people who control 'ice' are actually controlling temperature. Like freezing substances since you're really controlling cold air...? All I can really think about is those Christmas special with that Freeze Meister dood. Or like, Jack Frost. Aha. I think I've only seen a few things about The Last Airbender. So if my rambles are completely out of whack that's...probably why. ^^;; it's not the temperature, I mean, think about how the water becomes ice in the first place:
the molecules huddle in and condense because it's cold...if you have full control of the water element, you can control how the molecules spread :U

the whole reason why water becomes a solid is the whole fact that the molecules compress onto each other for energy and warmth.
Therefore, Ice is still water, just compressed beyond it's own liquid state.
Same goes with liquid oxygen.

so pretty much everyone agrees tha water and ice are the same thing.
as for earth it differs if it stays to just rocks and boulders or does it also include plants and trees
its weird how these two elements are the ones we really have to discuss because in sure everyone understands how fire and wind work we have seen fire used in many different ways and wind is just sort of simple.

You know, does wind element include things like weather? Like, storms or I dunno...weather-related things...
Because sometimes they include that as such...
But then again if you had the power of lightning you'd think that'd be more storm based, but you wouldn't really control wind or water...
*Rambling* I don't know. The more I think and try to talk the more it gets confusing yet simple. Which doesn't make sense!
Aaaand I don't know if that relates to the airbender stuff. I was just pondering out loud. >>;;

to answer Acid's question, i think not, becuase its not wind that makes storms, the best i seen are tornados and such.
and its not just refering to avatar all the time im just asking in general, i used avatar as an example

I suppose they could. If it's a matter of moving around molecules, as long as you move them around at different speeds to control different states of matter it would work. :l

jere i go with my own stuppid oppinion!!!
i think elemnt of ice shud not exist at all but the ellement of wind combined with elemnt of water could create ice buy frezin watter! i saw all the avatars and loved em! and its not a new move wasnt the last movie out ages ago?
and i think rocks shudnt float element of earth shud be like turin rocks into quick sand and sinking people and softnin your fall and s**t u know! and again the only way to combine rocks with floatin is buy air! or buy presurin rocks to fly out of the ground into people!!

softening your fall with rocks and quicksand just sounds painful no matter how you put it XD
I think we should just follow Captain Planet's example, and just say those are the only elements you can have, and therefore if ice is linked to water, then a water element should be able to control it. So therefore they could control snow...
