"Really?" The pup tilted his head up quickly at the words, hope quite evident in the pair of dark green eyes. Whatever he wanted meant he could be the protector Momma needed, and she wouldn't have to feel like she needed another male in her life to hurt her or take something from her like his sire had. "You mean I can come with you to train until I'm older? That'd be great, mister!" said the elated Satoru, and his tail began to wag anew. He could make something of himself! It didn't matter that a total stranger was offering -
"Oh, right! I'm Satoru, sir, but you can call me Sato, or Toru, or Sassy, or Toto, or even Ruru . . . I don't think Sasa works as well, but it's up to you."

Elapse heard his own heart crack with the next few thumping beats. Just sitting back and allowing this to happen was all so easy that he felt in some way it was more of a punishment. This pup he wasn't stealing as he imagined he would have to, but was still taking him away, feeding him false hope, and allowing the pup to follow him as though he were a trustworthy companion. Despite his guilt, he was going through with this anyway. Maybe it was his upbringing that allowed him to be capable of this...perhaps maybe he always had the capability. Whatever the reason there was that explained his acceptance of Satoru's enthusiasm wasn't important in that very moment and his attention focused further on the pup; even more so as he was given a name.
"Satoru. That's a fine name," he said with a nod, standing once more as to head out of the area. He didn't want to stick around any longer than he had to.
"You can call me Elapse. That's what everyone else does, anyway."

"All right. Eee-lahp-suh." The pup went through the repetition of each syllable in exaggerated movements, wide mouth put to use. "Sah-toh-roo, Ee-lahp-suh~ What's your Alpha's name again?" Satoru asked him, right and ready to his paws ashe came closer to the cloaked one. "And how far is it away? I bet I could walk for the whole day if we need to! How many wolves are in the pack? Do they fight a lot?" How exciting, like going to a fun boot camp for cool wolves! He would come back all strong and suave with his own awesome swishy cloak, and Momma would be all proud! Though Satoru wondered how exactly would he fit into such a sweet pack. Maybe they had wolves for that too?

He watched him, somewhat amused by his antics, and gave a nod at the names pronounced. Upon asked his alpha's name, he hesitated, pausing to think exactly how to reply. Pups hardly referred to him by his name, in fact, no one did if they were looking to be respectful. "Danel, but call him Alpha," Elapse told him, moving now a few feet forward, looking back forward. He wanted to hurry out of this area, and answering questions often became difficult when moving swiftly. "It might take all day, I'm not sure though. It depends on how many stops we make. And we have a lot of members, but fighting doesn't occur to often in the pack."

The pup nodded ferociously, not wanting to slow them down in the least. If Momma, or Teita, or Agrona, or Xavi saw him now, it'd ruin everything! So he picked up the pace, given the same mindset of wanting to leave as his new-found friend, and replied, "Lotta members, huh? Cool~ I can't wait to meet them all," Satoru said in a low but eager tone, making sure his voice's volume couldn't attract other packmembers either as they moved swiftly out. "Alpha . . . I can't wait to see his cloak!"
Or get my own. Momma, guys, I'll make you proud! This thought spurned the pup's paws forward, softly glowing gold streaks left behind in his wake. |~| Aaaaaand that concludes it on my end~ |~|

He looked down to him as they made their escape, his eyes filled to the brim with guilt and eagerness, a conflicting connection. All the same, everything was over now. He had involved Satoru to the fullest and the pair could no longer turn back, could no longer pretend this was some small little adventure he would embark on, that wasn't some destination to a life of servitude in the dark pack called the Brotherhood. Elapse knew the pup's perceptions would soon be proved wrong, aside from the occasional interest, such as the number of pack members or his alpha's livid cloak. Still, his heavy paws carried them forward, eventually out of the territory. Eventually to Satoru's future.
