She encounters Miss Elegancia Paulamoni D'strella II and chaos ensues. After some bickering, Bri is offered a 'gift' and when she won't accept it (OMG it was a designer purse, probably cost more than her whole closet combined) the bickering started again until both girls left in foul moods.endend ____________________________________ xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx(C) Briella Johnson

She had kept postponing her essay on how to bullshit your way through writing an essay, and was now finally working on it the night before the deadline. It wasn't really a problem, Bri could pop out an essay like it was nothing but there was no doubt that the effort showed and in the end got you the best grade. She could at least pull off a B on this one, so she wasn't the least bit worried. Her laptop's speakers chimed, alerting her of a new message and momentarily halting the rhythm of her keyboard's song.
It was from her mother, who instead of calling, knew that ninety percent of the time Bri was online and therefore started contacting her daughter that way. She wrote "Hi honey. I’m stuck at work so I'm going to catch dinner with your father. We won't be home till late, so just grab some leftovers for dinner. Keanen is at Mike's, so don't expect him home. Be safe, Love mom." Bri rolled here eyes; she didn't feel like eating the fish again. Now with food on her mind Bri couldn't seem to focus on the essay now. So after a safety save she mulled her way downstairs to the kitchen.
She placed the heavy metal kettle over the back burner to heat some water and wandered over to the fridge. She pulled it open and surveyed the fridge’s contents. “We have, leftover fish, ewww, not happening.” Bri pulled out a round lidded bowl and snapping off the lid peaked inside. “And I’m not sure what this is.” She sniffed at the brown and red goo and squishing up her nose replaced the lid and bowl back into the fridge. She found a few pieces of cheese and some ham. “Grilled cheese it is.”
Bri wasn’t a cook by any means. She didn’t particularly like preparing food and didn’t have much experience in doing so, but grilled cheese was easy enough. She greased the pan, butted the bread and placed them on the pan. With the red pan handle in her hand, the metal spatula in the other, she watched the two pieces of bread sizzle. Her eyes wandered to the window that sat above their steel sink. Two white lacey curtains were pulled to the side, exposing a relatively large backyard the small standard of today’s. This kitchen had been so ugly when they had first moved in. It was so dark and dreary and her mother couldn’t stand it. After a lengthy renovation the kitchen was longer and brighter with sunflower colored walls and white tiled floor. Pale wood cabinets lined the right wall. And above the oven was black smoke.
Bri drew the pan away from the fire, and cursing, pried off the burnt bread. She swatted at the smoke with a towel in an attempt to disperse and glanced at the fire detector, praying it didn’t go off because she really really hated that sound. It blared at her in its mocking beep. And then the worse thing about fire detectors happened, they all beeped in unison. Throwing out the bread, she grabbed a chair, covered her ears and pulled the dumb thing out, ceasing the beeping. Eventually one by one they stopped.
Bri hated cooking. endend ____________________________________ xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx(C) Briella Johnson
