Andrew's camel grunted as the man urged the beast forward. A long rifle was retrieved from his back and loaded up with fresh shot. It wasn't the most accurate thing in the world- but it would do the job. Just to be certain, he wanted to give himself a chance at a better shot. It wasn't until the camel outright refused to move forward any more that the man brought the rifle up. His dark eye squinted through the scope.
A bright, almost cream colored lioness seemed to be the head of the group. A large one....and one that would sit nicely just in front of his fireplace. His dry lips pulled into a smirk as his finger tightened around the trigger. A sound like thunder echoed over the wasteland.

Ahava frowned at Aveil. They were not warriors and had no idea what they were up against. "Aveil, it may look like prey, but you've no idea what it is. I do not think hunting it is a very good idea. Mut is right. Something is off."
Ahava looked to her niece, "Ase don't even think ..."
Ahava jumped at the loud and terrifying noise. Her fur was on end and in an instant she was pressed to the ground. She was fighting her every instinct, which all told he run.
"Get down," she growled.
She looked around at the others, "Is everyone alright? I think we need to get out of here, but I don't think we should go back to the pride. Not yet."
