Yes, it does. Or at least I'm pretty damn sure it does. But when it comes to Blues Rock, I tend to go more towards Aerosmith, though there are a select few Bruce songs I like.

I agree! IMHO, Bruce definitely belongs and so does Aerosmith! Bruce has gone through some phases in his career. So I’m curious what the few songs are that you like, Sheedo?
My parents are coming tomorrow to stay for the weekend, so I won’t be posting any new music until they leave. But I’ll peek in when I get a chance. biggrin

His "Born To Run" CD. My favorite songs being Backstreets and She's the One. I can't say I remember much else about it. Since I haven't listened to him in ages. But now I'm curious to give him a second look around. Amazing what a simple question can spark.

I really should be getting ready for my parents visit, but I peeked in here and now I’ve caught the spark. The song “Born to Run” (1975) was a huge hit for The Boss, so I remembered it. The other two from the album I didn’t remember, so I looked them up and I figured while I’ve got them I might as well share. biggrin Backstreets She’s the One I likey! Especially She’s the One. In the mid 1980s he was probably at the peek of his popularity, so I had to include one from one of his biggest sellers. Cover Me from his Born in the USA (1984) CD. My husband has Greetings from Asbury Park (1973), which he believes was Bruce’s first. Here’s his favorite song from that CD. Growin’ Up Does anyone else find that often after buying a CD for the hit song, they end up liking some of the other songs better?

Plan Nine Does anyone else find that often after buying a CD for the hit song, they end up liking some of the other songs better? This tends to be the norm for me. Usually because we are drawn in by singles, which are tailor-made to be liked by a wide audience. But when you listen to the rest of the album, other, more personal or less media-minded songs spring at you.

Pandora is for working together WITH p2p prgrams silly! xd have Limewire or iTunes on hand, and use Pandora to learn about music so that you can download it. smile

Chieftain Twilight wait, is that sarcasm? gonk rofl I wouldn’t know. I only recently learned how to get the songs on youtube! rofl
Speaking of getting the songs on youtube, I’ve been a little lazy since my parents left. I’m thinking about looking up some Billy Joel next, maybe some David Bowie. This is a tidbit most people know, but I’m gonna give it out anyway. David Bowie's real name is David Jones. When he started he didn’t want to be confused with Davy Jones of the Monkees, so he changed it. I think his choice had something to do with a Bowie knife, but my memories a little fuzzy on that.

I am such a huge Billy Joel fan that I had some difficulty just picking a sample of his work. In this first one, the piano intro blows me away! And the lyrics aren’t half bad either. lol Prelude/Angry Young Man This second one has cheered me up a time or two. You’re Only Human (Second Wind) After getting off work, this one is good for letting off steam. Pressure The last one isn’t one of my favorites, but I included it because he sings all the parts and I think that’s pretty cool. The Longest Time His really early stuff is very good, but I didn’t include it because I’ve heard it so often. I didn’t listen to David Bowie very much when he first came out. I was in junior high (today it’s called middle school) and when I saw his picture I thought he looked just like my very stern and strict American History teacher. I didn’t like her very much and it’s too bad I took it out on him. I missed a lot of good music. This first offering I got reintroduced to when they made a TV show in Britain by the same title. It went two seasons, with a very clear ending and I don’t think I missed an episode. Life on Mars This one is just because I like it. Heroes I’ll stop here, even though I could continue. When I asked my husband which Bowie songs he liked, he started listing off titles too fast for me to catch! lol
