Ithi listened to the two have their conversation, She liked the small cub and the adolescent lion and she would miss Chomo and of course ausha when she left to the mistweavers but she would be back, she could rarely stay in one place for too long. She just sat and watched, she couldn't be bothered to find Ausha, like he would care anyway!

Chomo shook his head vaguely "It's no problem, seriously. I sleep when I'm bored, not because I'm tired." the red lion's dreams were very important to him, that was where he garnered ideas on where to go next in his life, but he could dream anytime and wasn't even slightly bothered by being woken up.

However, something flickered in his expression, not threatening, but puzzled as he cast his eyes over Ithi. "Paradise?" he asked "There is no such thing." In his opinion, there wasn't. No matter how beautiful a place might be, it would have flaws. After all, he too had heard of the Mistweaver lands. Although, being a Firekin, the tales had been on the negative side. Poisonous plants, arrogant lions who were slain at the claws of the mighty firekin, that sort of thing.

He realised his comment might have been a little abrupt and softened. "What I mean, if that where I come from, they say the only true paradise is found after you die. But feel free to seek it, I might be wrong."

He flicked his tail and nodded. "Of course. You are always welcome here, provided you feel confident you can get back alright, I don't want you taking risks that you don't essentially have to."

Turning his attention to Ithi, he asked.

"Where is this paradise, pray?"

Well, that was a relief. At least Chomo didn't mind be waken up. To her, sleep was a precious thing, one that allowed a lion or lioness to dream of whatever they wished and hoped for. It seemed it wasn't all that important to the red lion. Ah well, everyone had their different ways and beliefs.

No paradise?! Aysha suddenly looked up at Chomo, her mouth hanging wide open and her eyes showing the large amount of shock she was in. "N-no such th-thing?" she stammered out. But if there was no such thing then... why... why did her parents send her away to find it?

Instantly she looked towards Ithi. Had the older female led her on to think that there was something out there when really there wasn't? Was she planning to do something to the little cub? No.. she couldn't be. They had just met and already the black and white female trusted the other. There wasn't any way in her mind that Ithi could want any harm done to her.

"No paradise.." she said again, this time softly with her eyes cast down. "Then why did Mzaa send me away? Did they... not want me anymore?" This last was for herself only, really, but it was probably loud enough to be heard by her two friends.

Ithi walked over to the cub and licked her head before nuzzling her, she shot an evil glare at Chomo, she liked the older lion but seriously, some had feelings! "There isn't much point in telling a firekin where it is, he would only disagree." She had indeed learnt alot about the prides while she had been out wandering, she knew not much about the pridelanders apart from they seemed really lazy but the firekins and mistweavers were worn enemys, so she spoke nothing of it.

She turned back to the cub, "Aysha, you are wanted, its ok, you can decide for yourself whether it is paradise or not ok? Everyone has their own views adn Chomo doesn't believe in it, that doesn't mean there is no such thing." Why Ithi was being motherly she had no idea and she shocked herself by doing so, maybe it was just because the cub was one of her only few friends, it may have been her fault that she had no friends but she cared greatly for the few she had.

He hadn't meant to hurt the cubs feelings, and made a vague attempt to backtrack, still maintaining a facade of confidence. "Oh, there might be a paridise out there, I'm sure. I just somehow doubt that any old lion could take you there. It's something you have to find for yourself. If you were sent to find it, then you never know, you might find it on your own."

Chomo was nice, to an extent, but he was still a Firekin, a lineage of lions known for their tempers. As such, he didn't much care for the way Ithi made him out the bad guy. In fact, he had to firmly supress a snarl at first, but the comment about Firekins was one poke too many to a pride that ran in his blood.

He let the snarl out that he had been suppressing, narrowing his blood red eyes at the female, his tone shifting from the warming embers of his usual tone to a growling inferno. "So now it's right to judge me based on where I'm from? Oh a firekin oughtn't to know. I'm not "Firekin" I'm CHOMO"
His name came out in a near roar and what he had of a mane bristled.
He had had it. Really. Not usually one to anger, when he did get angry, blood was all too often spilled. He had to leave, before he said or did something negative.

Voice once again calm, but this time a little too calm, he stated to Aysha

"Go with this Lion to paradise if you wish, but don't get your hopes too high, life is /never/ that easy." And then, with a flick of his tail, he prowled off, no longer moving like a snuggly teddybear but with Firekin nobility.

Fools.

The young cub had begun to feel better with the encouraging comments from her freinds. Her head lifted and her eyes lit up again. Perhaps Chomo had never really gone looking for paradise and so never found such a place, which would account for his thinking that there was no such thing.

"Well... maybe not paradise for you..." she murmured out, the little gears in her head turning and turning. "But maybe there is paradise for me... and my family." Yes, her family had sent her away because they believed in her. "My family knew I would find paradise so--"

But Aysha was cut short by the loud and very scary roar of the Firekin. The only time she had seen someone be so viscious was when her parents had hunted large game. Was Ithi Chomo's prey? He had growled at her and made himself look big and freakish. It was frightening to see him like this...

And when he turned to her and said those words, her heart broke in half. Those were probably the most discouraging words that had ever been spoken to her. Her first friend had basically just told her that she wouldn't find what she was looking for. Well, if that's how he felt then fine!

Suddenly an angry look came over the usually cheerful cub's face. "Fine!" she called out at him. "Maybe I'll just sit here and let the hyenas eat me, would you rather that happen?" Now she was just scaring herself... where had all this anger come from? "I won't go to paradise, since you are so strong to believe that there isn't one!"

With that said, Aysha turned and ran off, deeper into the Elephant Graveyard.

Ithi didn't know what to do, she wanted to run after the cub and see if she was ok but yet she did not, not straight away at least. She did follow her, she followed her and found her, "Aysha, I leave tomorrow morning. It is upto you if you wish to come, I will come back one day for you if you don't. Chomo once was from a pride who hated the place that I have grown to love, I am sorry Aysha." She knew not what else to say so bowed her head and walked off, she had travelling to do.
