Fallen Truth

She sounded far too pleased with herself for Div’eari’s peace of mind. He might have to capitulate this time. As far as he would push things he knew when he was beaten. It seemed he may have reached the limit of things Treskri would put up with. His ruby eyes narrowed as she said to leave her alone for a few hours…so he wasn’t in immediate danger from whatever it was. Unless she was lying and it would affect him no matter what.

He regarded her warily as he made his way to his feet watching her get back into bed and make herself comfortable. It didn’t seem like whatever it was would be permanent, but he was more than certain he didn’t want to experience whatever it was. The illusionist obediently grabbed his trousers and made his way to ring the bell and call breakfast. For now he had decided that at least acting obedient was the best course of action.

He sat at the table waiting for food to appear and whilst he may have appeared relaxed on the outside, inside his mind was racing wondering what the other had done to him. The one thing that gave away his thoughts was the slight defiant twinkle in his eyes as he sat at the table shifting ever so slightly in his seat unable to just sit still.

Treskri plodded over to the bed, not really watching Div's reaction to her words and slid underneath the blankets and tried to doze off into sleep. She tossed and turned for several moments, until finally she sighed loudly and sat up in bed with a disgruntled look on her face. She regarded Div with a rather unhappy expression on her face, her arms folded across her chest.

"Great." she muttered loudly and sighed in exasperation. "Now I can't get back to sleep."

Right after she said this, a knock came on the door of their room. Treskri pulled the sheet around her like a tunic and hopped out of bed, striding over to the door with long limbed gracefulness. She turned peered out the peephole and then turned the lock and opened the door wide and stepped to the side.

"Just set it down over there by the naked fellow," She directed with a faked cheery tone. "Could you be back in a bit with a bottle of rum? Oh.. and how about some hot water for the tub and some towels? I sure could use a bath this morning, as you will soon enough Div." She replied with a slight evil wink at Div.

Fallen Truth

The Illusionist had been trying to think of what might have happened when Treskri had complained she was unable to get back to sleep. He kept his expression neutral though a small part of him was amused and felt a little smug that she couldn’t rest now.

He had looked towards the door as there came a knock and was content to let Treskri give directions to the server feeling not the slightest bit of embarrassment to be sitting undressed by the table. What did he have to be ashamed of? He was more than confident in his own skin. He absently nudged his trousers that were in a heap beside him on the floor just in case he needed them.

Div folded his arms leaning back in his chair the slight defiant glint in his eyes hidden as best he could. He arched one brow mind racing as she asked for water and sent him a wink…..not that he was feeling suspicious, but he had no idea what she had done and she looked just too ….he couldn’t think of the word he wanted. He felt a little miffed that he had been put in his place, which was a childish reaction, but Div’eari was not one to think his actions through too much. He murmured voice slightly tart,

“Someone seems to be in a good mood.”

Despite the fact that Div's expression didn't change, Treskri knew that he was amused by her inability to get back to sleep. That just irked her. She glared at him when he just sat in the chair, not making a move to cover himself when the servant walked over to place the food on the small table. The audacity of him!
For a fleeting moment she wanted to unleash a torrent of harsh words on him but then when she remembered what was going to happen to him. A most sinister smile spread across her face as she put her hands on her hips and regarded him closely.

"Oh that I am. Just you wait until that green liquid takes its affect on you, and you will wish you had never messed with me in the first place." She sneered and then laughed faintly.

She ambled over to the table, sat down in the second chair, and began to feast on the food laid out before him. After a few moments of munching, she shot a glance at him and chortled in amusement. She reached her right hand out, and pointed to his chest.

"Look! It's starting!"

His once bare chest was now sprouting rather long white hairs in a rather alarming rate. In under an hour or so she figured, Div would be completely be covered in white fur. Gods..this was damn amusing.

Fallen Truth

The Illusionist looked faintly alarmed for a moment at Treskri’s words before smoothing his expression,

“I am certain that whatever you have done I will be able to get my own back.” His eyes held a faint mocking light to them as he spoke. He reached for some of the food that had been brought in, but his appetite had vanished at least a little in the intervening time his mind too occupied worrying itself over what might happen to him.

He blinked eyes widening as Treskri started to laugh and pointed at him. He glanced down only to feel his eyes widening in horror at what he saw……he was……growing hair….all over….white hairs were springing from his flesh covering him.

Div’eari sprang to his feet face shocked and voice accusing,

“What in the name of Lloth have you done to me female?” He narrowed his eyes obviously not seeing the funny side in growing this amount of hair everywhere. “This is why females are more trouble than they are worth.” His tone was slightly despairing.

What was he going to do? Even as he looked down at himself he could actually see the hairs growing longer beneath his eyes.

Treskri was highly amused, and slightly alarmed herself. Such a result had never occurred so quickly before or at such an alarming rate. Perhaps she had given too much of the potion to him. However, panicking would not help calm down the distraught Div in any way.

"I've taught you a much deserved lesson, that's what male." Treskri replied, with a slight sniff as she watched the process begin to pick up speed.

Pretty soon, she realized he wouldn't look like a drow anymore. But some strange furred creature. What the heck was she supposed to do with him then? Where was that antidote that went with the potion? Had she purchased it or not? That thought in itself was rather disconcerting. Something would have to be done and soon. But she wasn't about to alarm or horrify Div anymore than he already was.

"Why Div, you do know you brought this on yourself. You overstepped boundaries, and treated me in a less than acceptable manner. Now then, do sit down and finish your breakfast, there is no need to get distraught. Once breakfast is concluded, I shall get the antidote and return you to your normal self." Treskri told him with a slight wave of her hand, trying to downplay the severity of the matter.

Hadn't the potions master said that if one didn't get the antidote that the victim of the stuff slowly lose his mind and become animalistic? And of course there was the time limit that one had to get the antidote...before the third day at midnight. Crap..Treskri was going to have to get to work figuring out where to find the potions master and to get the antidote for Div. Or who knew what might happen to the illusionists future?

“A much deserved lesson?” His voice was rising as he stood eyes full of accusation. He scowled at Treskri and stiffened as she told him to just sit down. He knew his place and he knew that as a male well....he wasn’t as important as a female and he should just do as he was told. It would sort things out more quickly. He had pushed things a bit before, but ...... he wasn’t able to push down the panic that filled him at the hair sprouting from him and it came out as irritation towards the female.

“Sit down and have breakfast? I will not! You will give me the cursed antidote now female! Now!” He could feel it growing. It was one of the most disconcerting feelings he had ever had. He wanted it to stop and now. Oh god what would he look like covered in hair? Could he just cut it? Would it keep growing indefinitely? All he had were questions and no answers it was infuriating. “If you don’t then I will just find it myself.” He all but snarled at her, although he wasn’t sure where he would really start with looking for an antidote.....did he know any poisoners? He knew an assassin, but was that the same? What was he going to do?

There was no way though that he would allow himself to look weak right now....he couldn’t.......his skin crawled and he could all but feel the hair growing as he stood there.

Treskri's face grew sharp as she watched Div's temper rise. So this was how a male reacted to bad news; frankly she wasn't very surprised. Males were known to be the weaker of the sexes, of course Div wasn't going to react well when his maleness was being threatened by an unknown force.

Plus the white hairs were sprouting at a faster pace than she thought could be normal..but she had never seen the potion in action before. It wasn't that his temper was getting on her nerves..it was more the way he spoke to her next. As though he was the one in charge..the one calling the shots. Treskri rose from her seat and glowered down on him, her left eyebrow twitching with irritation.

"Do not speak to me in such a manner. I will produce the antidote when you have learned your place, Div. Now..calm down." She stated in a low tone, her eyes boring through his own. She blinked at his next words, and then shrugged. "Be my guest then Div. If you want to retain your senses I'd hurry if I were you. though..I don't think you want to go out exposing yourself to the public." She replied, retaking her seat and settling down to eat the food on the table before her.

She wasn't about to give show Div any sort of concern, not when he had the audacity to treat her in such a manner. Not to mention demanding things of her without apologizing for the manner in which he had treated her earlier.

"Go on then." She said with a dismissive wave of her hand, as she tried to remember whether or not she had bought the antidote and if it was among her belongings.
