Bavu looked around, fairly certain that whatever it was they were looking for wasn't going to found because it didn't actually exist. Sighing heavily, he decided to look a bit further away from the creature, sniffing around in some plants for the sake of it.
Might as well keep looking, regardless of his thoughts on the matter. If he stopped and then she DID find someone, wouldn't he look like an a*****e!
"I'm afraid I don't see anything," he said as he scanned the area, failing to look over his shoulder to see if she was still there or not.

When Bavu turned away, Shai lost interest in him, wandering herself as the scents of the night forest came to her, entrancing the easily distracted lioness.
It was bound to happen sooner or later, and it was no fault of Bavu's at all, but when he turned back to find the insane lioness, he found himself alone in the night darkness of the jungle.
Shai had caught a scent, or some inner voice had called to her, but she'd disappeared as though she'd never existed at all, not even leaving the brush rustling to show where she went.
Typical night for Shaitani, it seems.
