Grondax I'm thinking of designing a world similar to Kino's Journey for people to play around in. For those that aren't familiar with Kino's Journey the world is a world where you could almost say every city/town is it's own "country" and each is strikingly different from the next. So I could avoid the large campaign in favor of smaller adventures designed to specifically give certain lessons or thoughts to the players. I have actually seen (and own sweatdrop ) this anime, and I like your idea. We would definitely need to think of a reason why all the characters are traveling together in this kind of scenario though, as it could become critically important in our journeys. 3nodding

Likely ask people for 3-4 viable archtypes and character profiles they'd be willing to play (just 1-2 paragraph briefs) then put it all together. Also, people don't need to travel together the whole time necessarily either. Who knows what we'll come up with.

The below is an odd list of guides I have, most 3.5 I believe. I'd prefer not to stray to far from these books, because any other book is like an obscure book. As for people that don't have this wealth of books I wouldn't worry too much. I don't really run my games as some hardcore uber character beats all game. In fact even playing D&D from a player standpoint when I do make a character min-max'ed with the power to take out a dragon in one hit, I role play said characters in a way the doesn't overpower the party level. I much prefer to setup games where you both think and roleplay with other people. I like puzzles, and I like providing interaction between each other and NPC's. I like letting players do interesting things. Maybe an all powerful necromancer that has to lie low due to being chased by inevitables, or players grouping together in bodyguard / employer groups or other relationships. Anyhow I'm still musing, and might put up more stuff later. Yami Kitsuneko -paws at the larger list of books- but some of these are books i use crying miniatures handbook races of the wild to name a few XD I'm fairly certain races of the wild is that really broken 3.0 Druid book. 1 Standing Stone + 1 Giant Croc + 1 Creeping Cold I think it was = Broken. Croc can carry the standing stone just barely with the right talents, then you can cast creeping cold that's maximized and quickened or something like that up to a mile away. Just get a looking glass and you can kill people that can't even see you xd

Grondax hasn't even confirmed that he is running a game and I'm already obsessing over possible race/class combos. sweatdrop And, for general pleasure and snickering:

If it were a RL game we'd already be running, but I'm just not sure about the dynamics of an online campaign. Takes work to figure out.

If I was rushing him, I'd have already gotten in touch with "them people that know", tracked down his phone number, and would be calling every hour, on the hour, until he either gives in or puts a restraining order on me. twisted No, instead I am the soul of restraint, and am just dropping a little poke here once every few days. cool
