While her pinch was felt, he took it only as a sign to get up and move. "More fish.. Right.." He mumbled, returning to the lake to get her another fish. He was truly out of it at this point. If it weren't for the fact that Esmee was more important than his own life, he would have passed out by this time.
Being quicker about it this time, he came back and offered another fish to fernand before starting another fire to cook Esmee some fish. He had brought a few more, having taken a stick with him this time.

Esmée looked over her shoulder as soon as Bneut got up to walk away. "Yup, he lost it."
It certainly seemed as if the demonic did. While he didn't mind getting yet another fish, it was weird to see Bneut do almost the exact same thing over and over again, as if a record was skipping and was playing the same few lines over and over again. Get up, drown self, get fish, feed one to Fernand, cook some for Esmée, go back to sitting down.
Esmée took another bite out of her fish, trying to satisfy the triple amounts of hunger she got from beging pregnant. It was at least soothing her constantly groaning stomach for a little while. "Bneut, I don't want fish," shouted Esmée, a little unconvincingly because she was so hungry. However, she was shouting it moreso to see if he would change his act around or if he would just keep repeating his actions over and over and over and over and over...

He looked at her. "Fruit then?" He asked still cooking the fish he had caught her. Not waiting for an answer he got up, going to a nearby fruit tree to gather some. It was fruit Esmee liked if he remembered correctly.

Esmée quirked a brow. "No." Why would she want fruit? At least he wasn't being a broken record now, but he seemed inclined to keep feeding her face continuously. He also seemed inclined to think she didn't exist. "Why don't you do something else besides stuff my face?" Though it was fun to observe him, she couldn't for the life of him figure out why he was doing this. Maybe he would tell her if she just asked him about it...
"I'm not too sure that'll work," remarked Fernand, though he was really quite happy with Bneut's behavior as long as he kept giving the penguin more fish to eat. "He seems to be a bit dazed."
Esmée was still determined to find out what was up with him, though. She crossed her arms and waited.

He was already down the tree with an arm full of the fruit it bore. "You're hungry still aren't you?" He looked up at Esmee, pulling the fish out of the fire before it burnt.
"Here, fruit and fish. I'm sorry there's nothing else I can do here." He offered all of them to her. "A mirage cannot eat nearly this much. Thank you for talking to me once more Esmee." He gave her a small smile, it being all he could manage. "I'm sorry I thought you weren't real."

Fernand seemed a little relieved when Bneut addressed Esmée as a real person. At least Esmée's old fiancee hadn't completely lost his mind yet. He settled down on the ground to watch the two of them and hope it didn't go sour once again while eating his fish.
Sure, Esmée was still mad at him, but his behavior was a little beyond pathetic and it made her pity him. Perhaps that wasn't the reaction Bneut wanted to see from her, but considering Esmée's nature, it was certainly progress, or a step in the right direction at least. She knit her brows in concern, something that Bneut probably hadn't seen her do in a while, before asking, "So why were you acting like a zombie?"
The angelic woman then decided she was sick and tired of standing up and attempted to sit down, albeit uncomfortably because of the large belly that was beginning to get in the way of everything. Then, she resumed eating the fish that Bneut had given her earlier. Though she was curious, she was still very hungry.

He watched her question form, leaving it be for a moment while he attempted to help her be comfortable as she sat.
"I'm not sure. Possibly from the shock of seeing you for the first time in days or knowing you were hungry.." Bneut attempted to explain it, but he wasn't very good at figuring out why his body acted like it did. In truth it was from the lack of sleep, food, and movement that had enacted the zombie state. But he didn't know that's what it was. "Is there anything else I can get you?"

As per usual, Esmée shied away when he attempted to help her out. Perhaps it was partially because she was still mad at him, or perhaps it was partially because she had always preferred doing things herself, but either way, she eventually adjusted on her own. When he finished his statements, she turned towards him and blinked. "O'course I'm hungry you dolt, I'm pregnant with what is probably more than one." She gestured with the fish, pointing it at him. Then, she brought it back to her mouth and took another bite. "I was looking at pregnancy books... most women aren't this big at this stage."
She paused to keep eating, before looking up at Bneut again. He wanted to do stuff for her? Really? Esmée was fine; she had food now. And she was still mad at him, anyway. ...But he was rather pathetic. She knit her brows again, before plucking up an apple out of the fruit he had picked and handing it over to Bneut. "You look pathetic. Eat something." That wasn't a suggestion, it was an order.

It only took him a moment to remember that she preferred to do things on her own, and thusly removed his hands from her body. "I'm sorry I got you so pregnant Esmee." He didn't dare use any thing that he called her before. She was upset enough to leave him once over this, which meant she wouldn't tolerate any of his names for her.
He sighed softly, looking at Esmee. He didn't deserve her kindness after all the s**t he'd given her recently. "You know you're the kindest woman I'll ever meet." Bneut took the apple, biting into it. Afraid to disobey her.

Esmée couldn't help laughing heartily when Bneut remarked that she was the kindest woman he had ever met. Now that was a new one. A kind woman would probably actually want the children she was bearing. "Save it," Esmée swatted off his remark that she was a nice woman. "Just eat so you don't look so hungry." With that, she resumed eating her fish, soon moving onto one of the other ones he had made for her in her need to stuff her face full of excessive amounts of food.
Esmée didn't comment on his apology for getting her pregnant immediately, however. She had to admit, though, it was about time that he start apologizing for what was clearly absolutely totally his fault completely. After a few more moments of silence, though, Esmée quipped, "So pregnant? So there's different types of pregnancies, and I just happened to get the extreme amount of pregnancy?" With her dry humor, it was hard to tell if she was mocking him or if she was making some sort of attempt at a joke, but Bneut knew her nature well enough.

He was eating, though he wouldn't eat much. He wanted to leave the food for Esmee, she needed it more than he did. She did seem to want more food than seemed possible. She must have had a hollow leg now that she was pregnant.
"It's always the worst type if the mother doesn't want to have been pregnant in the first place, and even more so when she's carrying more than one." He did feel bad for getting her pregnant with more than one.

She looked down and smirked in delight. Well, at least he finally understood that she had never wanted the children in the first place and still didn't want them. Before, he kept insisting that it was fine that she was pregnant and seemed to be in pure denial of the fact that Esmée had thoughts much otherwise. "'bout time," she muttered, in reference to the fact that he was finally acknowledging that he was completely and totally at fault for making her miserable in this case.
She then lifted her head and glanced back over to Bneut, allowing him to see her mouth move once again. "So why did you do it? Why did you piss me off so much that I would drink it? Was that your idea of punishment? Did you think it was funny?" Esmée narrowed her eyes and glared, though admittedly, she was now she was interested in her typical scientific ways to figure out his motivations.

He would pretend that he didn't see her lips move when she said 'bout time,' mainly because she was aware that she moved her head away when she wanted to mumble something that he wasn't meant to hear.
Bneut looked at Esmee, honestly not surprised by her question. Though really, he was used to such things by now. "Because you are the most sexy when you're angry at me. I can't tell you exactly why I wanted you to drink the potion anymore, but I regret that it made you hate me." He was sincere. He didn't want Esmee to hate him over this, or anything for that matter.

While she had to admit that he was attractive when he acted so cunning, that wasn't the point here. No, the point was that he had made her drink the potion just because he thought she would be more attractive when she was pissed at him. What kind of nonsense was that?! He made her get pregnant just so he could see her become infuriated?! The nerve! Esmée threw her arms into the air. "Really?!" she asked, exasperated. "You got me pregnant so you could see me angry?!"
At least he was actually apologetic for it now, though. Before, Bneut wasn't saying any sorries, and that was making her even angrier. And no, the pregnancy occurring had nothing to do with the fact that she found him very attractive after the trickery and the fact that she eagerly went along with his passionate ideas. It was still all his fault.

He had pretty much expected her reaction to be the one it was. "No, I got you angry so I could get you pregnant. There's a small difference.. Though neither sounds good nor in my favor.." He rubbed his neck, "I'm sorry Esmee." He would apologize as many times as she wanted. It was the very least he could do for her.
Bneut would have placed some blame on Esmee for her willingness to go along with the moment, he was entirely unaware of her reasoning for sleeping with him that night. He didn't realize that she liked it when he was cunning or at least acted as such.
