Like I specified before, I'm not directly attacking him.
I'm fully aware that there are insults out there FAR worse than being called an ingrate. But I'm fairly sure that within the guild's guidelines is a part where "Thou shalt not insult another Paladin". Now, we're talking about calling the entire guild somehting, which is what I have a problem with.
Also, I'm aware that people can't spell out there. I have to deal with them all the time. =/
As for your sig, Kedian, I SAID I knew it was a joke. Partisus, nothing against you, but if you're going to try and blast me to Hell and back, please read what I say, all right? I have nothing against the sig, but if it came down to it, it's amongst the things that could help us get the reputation of flamers. That, and I'm fairly sure that not everyone can assume it's a joke as soon as they see it. There ARE anti-newbie guilds out there.
I also never said that you were defending him. I was simply replying to you.
Moving on, yes, I,m annoyed, but not at the fact he made a guild. At the fact that he'd go to the extent of insulting us for not joining? Yeah.

Nngh...I go away for a few days and things fall apart. Sorta.
1. Zhu: No need for the ingrates comment. Other than that you're okay.
2. Drium: You do need to tone it down just a touch. Zhu has a personal investment in the Halo guild, and so he got a bit upset when people weren't interested. Just as you got a bit upset in your Samus Vs Rockman thread.
3. Kedian: I find your sig funny. Anyone who knows the slightest bit about us would realize that that's a joke.

Zhu-sama Drium Partisus You know, we COULD just redirect the Halo fanbrats to the guild, and clean up the VGD. It's actually a pretty good idea. (we tried this with the Zelda subforum people too--not sure how successful it was though, since I haven't been great about searching throught the VGD recently...) I know what you mean. I was just replying to the fact he was calling us "ingrates" for not bothering to join. you could at least post or donate
All because not many people in VGP wanna join the Halo guild doesn't constitute the fact you can call us names. I don't call you names for liking Halo, you shouldn't call me a name for not joining and donating to a cause I don't like.

I don't really think Zhu was meaning to call us names in an offensive sort of way. It seemed to me he was expressing frustration because nobody had posted in a thread about something he'd put a lot of time, money, and effort into in a span of 24 hours. People don't like having their hard work ignored, particularly if they consider the people ignoring it to be kindred.
I don't see how the use of the word 'ingrates' justifies the huffing and puffing. If he'd fired off with some big rant full of attacks on us, I would certainly see the justification in launching one right back. This wasn't a rant though, it was a single word which I doubt was even purposely malicious. Besides, as I understand it, we Paladins are supposed to try to be good-natured to even the most confused, misguided, head-so-far-up-their-a**-their-esophagus-is-actually-their-intestinal-tract newbie, and a fellow guild member gets attacked for something like this?
